Abstract

Anthrax is a zoonosis disease caused by Bacillus anthracis bacteria. This bacteria is able to produce an endospora that lasts for decades inside the soil and thus becomes an infection source (endemic areas), causing difficulties to eradicate this disease in Indonesia. This disease mainly infects cattle such as cows, goats, horses, and pigs in some cases. It can also infect humans through three ways which is per cutaneous, per oral, and per inhalation. The clinical manifestations in humans are malignant pustule, hematemesis, pneumonia hemorrhagic or meningitis. The success of eradicating anthrax from humans fully depends on the eradication of this disease from the animals.

Abstract

Mosquito is the one of inflicted insect upon people caused by the lead pard in many indescribable diseases such as malaria, dengue and cikungunya. Mosquito is bring problem for living space especially in decreasing sanitation such flooded area. The disease prevention caused by Mosquito has done in many ways among the others by using insecticide such as DDT, BHC, etc. Insecticide enable to caused poisoned to people and others living creatures. Using uncontrolled insecticide will be give high risk complex. It is a good idea to get a better alternative method. The ultrasonic waves choose as alternative method for its effectiveness and environmental friendliness. The focus of research has been done to have optimum frequency of ultrasonic waves caused highest lethal percentage and to get the dosages or the volume density of energy of ultrasonic waves to destroy Mosquito larva on the whole. As the result of observation and data analysis has done by 50 Mosquito Larva and 50 W ultrasonic powered give the optimum frequency is 86 KHz, with Lethal Percentage is 78%. Besides, is getting the linier relation ship to volume, so that the volume density of energy is 3.95904 kJ/ml.

Abstract

Strongyloidiasis is a parasitic disease caused by the roundworm Strongyloides stercoralis. The roundworm is found in soil contaminated by feces containing the worm, which then burrow through the skin and enter the bloodstream. They then enter the lungs and burrow through the tissue separating the airways from the esophafus and enter the digestive tract, where they lay eggs and reproduce. Many people who are infected with the roundworm have no symptoms of the disease. Strongyloides infections are more common in tropical and subtropical climates than in cooler temperate areas. Strongyloides stercoralis is a parasite that has both free-living and parasitic life cycles. In the parasitic life cycle, female worms are found in the superficial tissues of the human small intestine. There are no parasitic males.

Abstract

Global warming issue in 21 century this become especial issue. The effect of global warming besides at another phenomenon, like floods, erosion, dryness, increasing temperature of earth, climate change and also its influence to human being, especially for health. Climate change is expected to have considerablke impact on health, and one of the most important is waterborne diseases. Weather influences the transport and dissemination of the microbial agents via rainfall and runoff and survival and/or growth such factors as temperature. Knowledge about transport processes and fate of microbial pollutants associated with rainfall and snowmelt is key to predicting risk from change in weather variability. Water-borne diseases can be infected by many routes of exposure, as well as individual or population susceptibility, to waterborne pathogens, with water quality, avaibility, sanitation, and hygiene all playing a role.More than 100 types of pathogenic bacteria, viruses, and prozoa can be found in contaminated water.

Abstract

Hymenolepiasis nana is a zoonosis disease caused by infection in adult stage or larvae stage of dwarf tapeworm Hymenolepis nana , that has primarily become a parasite for humans. Human is a main infection source for other human being, even though mouse and mice can also be the infection source of this disease. In its life cycle, Hymenolepis nana doesnt need any intermediate host. The infection doesnt affect on intestinal mucosa , but it may lead to the desquamasi of epithel cell and necrosis in which the parasite attached, causing enteritis in certain severe infection cases. This disease is diagnosed by finding typical type of egg inside the patients feces. Praziquantel is a drug of choice against hymenolepiasis nana. To repress and avoid the infection, we must rise the sanitary awareness in our surroundings at the individual level and for children. Medication treatment for the infected patients is also need to prevent further contamination, and eradication of hospes recervoar as its source of infection, such as mouse and other rodents animals, is recommended as well.
