The results obtained from this study were that there was a significant increase and change in the integrating type (p = 0.027, p<0.05) and compromising (p = 0.021, p<0.05). While the other types, namely domination, avoiding, and obliging, did not experience significant changes. Through emotional intelligence training, participants will learn how to control emotions so that when faced with problems, participants can use appropriate conflict management to solve these problems.

In analyzing the data through the process of building validity consisting of confirmatory factor analysis and total correlation of corrected items, analyzing internal consistency reliability using Cronbach's alpha technique. The results showed that the Phone Snubbing Scale (Phub-S) has a good item validity and reliability test as a measurement scale for phone insulting behavior young Moslems in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. The recommended Phub-S items totaling 45 items that have been fulfilled are valid based on testing confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) technique (standardized solution (SS) > 0.4 and T-Values > 1.96), Corrected Item-Total Correlation ≥ 0.30 and with a scale reliability value. 0.932 (Cronbach's Alpha value> 0.8).

Abstract

This study aims to observe the effectiveness of therapy of reflective-intuitive reading of Al-Fatihah in reducing the depression of autoimmune survivors. It used the quasi-experiment with the pre-test-posttest control group design – not non-randomized pretest-posttest control group design. The subjects involved in this study were the female Moslems becoming the survivors of one of the autoimmune diseases. Here, the level of depression of the subject was measured using the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS) sub-test of depression developed by Lovibond and Lovibond, adapted into the Indonesian language. The implementation of the therapy refers to the module of reflective-intuitive reading of Al-Fatihah developed by the researcher and team by referring to the module owned by Maulana, Subandi and Astuti. Data analysis used the Mann Whitney U-Test to determine the difference in the depression level in the experimental group before and after the intervention compared to the control group. The study results showed that therapy of reflective-intuitive reading of Al-Fatihah effectively reduced the level of depression of autoimmune survivors after passing the changing process taking a particular time.

Abstract

Negative emotional states, such as depression, anxiety, and stress, can arise and impact the individual's adaptive function. Self-compassion includes treating oneself with wisdom and understanding when faced with suffering, which helps improve self-regulation in dealing with emotional problems. This study aims to see the relationship between self-compassion and negative emotional states in Diponegoro University medical students, involving 118 participants of second-year students using the convenience sampling technique. Measurements in the study were carried out using the self-compassion scale (22 items, α = 0.925) and the DASS-21 Indonesian version (21 items, α = 0.892). Spearman's rho showed a significant negative relationship between self-compassion and negative emotional states (rxy = -0.630, p = 0.000). Self-compassion was also found to have a significant negative relationship with depression (rxy = -0.643, p = 0.000), anxiety (rxy = -0.440, p = 0.000), and stress (rxy = -0.516, p = 0.000). These results indicate that the higher self-compassion of the participants, the lower the negative emotional states, and vice versa. Self-compassion predicts negative emotional states in participants ranging from depression, stress, and anxiety sequentially. The further identified prevalence of negative emotional states in participants in this study. A program to enhance self-compassion is needed to reduce negative emotional states.

Abstract

Dating violence cases are increasing every year in Indonesia. Despite violence being one of the traumatic events, it does not rule out the possibility that the survivors experienced growth after trauma called posttraumatic growth (PTG). This study aims to determine the contribution of perceived social support (PSS) towards posttraumatic growth (PTG) among adolescent women who experienced dating violence (n = 308). This research is a quantitative study, with an F-Soz U K-14 questionnaire (α = 0.817) to measure PSS and PTGI-SF scale (α = 0.89) to measure PTG. Using statistical regression was found that PSS had a significant role towards PTG (R2 = .186, p = .000). The result of this study can be useful as a basis in educating the importance of support given by significant others for adolescent women exposed to violence during or after the violence happened.

The Covid-19 pandemic has made students unable to carry out the teaching and learning process as usual. There are restrictions on physical meetings and the implementation of the emergency curriculum. It creates challenges and learning problems for students. It takes the ability to overcome it or what is known as academic buoyancy. The study aims to examine the role of parents in the academic buoyancy of students undergoing distance learning from the point of view of self-determination theory. Participants in this study were 215 students aged 12-15 years. The measuring tools in this study were the Parents as Social Context Questionnaire and the Academic Buoyancy Scale. Abstract

The main challenge for educational institutions in the middle of the pandemic is fostering students to maintain character strengths in poor conditions. Various difficulties come quickly, such as changes in the online learning system, strict health protocols that apply to the threat of viruses that are scary all the time. Character strengths have a broad impact on life satisfaction, subjective well-being, friendly relationships, and academic success. This study aims to determine the condition of initial student character strengths, especially those who have just entered college, as positive traits used in dealing with changes during the COVID-19 pandemic and contribute to the development of character strengths theory. Peterson-Seligman. The research subjects were 145 students who filled out the 72-item VIA-IS scale online and analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results showed that most early students had high character strengths (68.3%) and responded to change by highlighting their signature strengths of kindness, humor, love, honesty, and gratitude. This research is expected to describe the strength of character as an effort to adapt to change in the middle of the covid-19 pandemic.
