Abstract

Background: The increasing number of people infected with Covid-19 worldwide has brought many countries to the next wave of this pandemic. Indonesia was estimated to face the third wave in early 2022 unless active precautions were put into action. Healthcare workers (HCWs) are the essential frontline in the effort to minimize the spreading of the disease. Nevertheless, HCWs are amongst the casualties of the disease, especially in Indonesia, which is regarded as among the countries with the highest HCW mortality. This study aims to describe the mortality rates of HCWs in Indonesia. Methods: The retrospective data were obtained from the official website of LaporCovid, an independent Indonesian initiative to provide information regarding Covid-19, to obtain secondary data following the research objectives. Results: Our study found that 1,551 health workers in Indonesia died from Covid-19 until 25 July 2021, and almost one-third of them were doctors. Furthermore, East Java is the most prevalent province and only one province (out of 33) has not reported causality. Conclusions: The second wave of the pandemic has overwhelmed health workers and has become infected and eventually many health workers have died more than in the previous months.

Abstract

Introduction : Stress, anxiety and depression are the most common psychiatric disorders associated with patients infected wilth COVlD-19. The aim of this study was identify descriptions of differences in stress, anxiety and depression in survivors of COVlD-19 compared to non-survivors of COVID-19 and analyze the risk factors that most influence these events.Method: This research is a descriptive analytic study with a cross sectional design. The population are survivors and non-survivors of COVlD-19 who followed the ketofastosis diet and joined the isoman group on the telegram application. The research subjects were COVlD-19 survivors and non-COVlD-19 survivors with a total of 379 subjects. Data collection from online questionnaire containing personal data and DASS 21, and then will be analyzed using Chi Square and logistic regression. Results: The subjects of COVlD-19 survivors experienced anxiety 6,8%, depression 5,5%,and stress 1,6%. The subject of non survivor of COVlD-19 experienced anxiety 4,5%,depression 2,9%, and stress 1,3%. In the Chi Square analysis between stress, anxiety and depression compared to survivors of COVlD-19 and non-survivors of COVlD-19 were p =0.947, p = 0.335, p = 0.153. While the logistic regression analysis test results for risk factors from stress in COVlD-19 survivor were gender (OR=1.520) and having a chronic disease (OR=1.334), for anxiety were gender (OR= 1.743) and having a chronic disease (OR=1.641), then for depression with risk factors also for having chronic disease (OR=1.454) and gender (OR= 0.940).Conclusion: There were no significant differences in stress, anxiety and depression in survivors of COVlD-19 compared to non-survivors of COVlD-19. The most influential risk factor for stress and anxiety in COVlD-19 survivors is gender while for depression is having a chronic disease.

Abstract

The purpose of forensic identification of cadavers is to identify each bone's usefulness in the identification process in addition to establishing the time and cause of death. Identification of skeletonized corpses will be difficult to assess, and pathological conditions such as broken bones and bruising of the bones are also an assessment of signs of violence in the individual. The results of the examination of the human skeleton show that one individual was identified. Meanwhile, bone is a mongoloid male, estimated to be between 20-25 years old with a bone height of 159 - 166 cm, in which bruises were found on top of the head. Post-mortem fractures were found at the tip of the distal femur and proximal tibia, and the estimated time of death is more than three months. The assessment of diatoms in the upper arm bones, which yielded a negative result, was done as a supporting investigation. Further, a sample of DNA was extracted from one of the second right ribs for analysis.

Abstract

Introduction: The prevalence of dementia tends to increase over time. MOCA assessment tool is a cognitive function screening test that has high sensitivity. Telephone-based MOCA assessment has potential of detection and monitoring dementia which can be widely applied. Methods: This is an observational study with cross-sectional approach in the Neurology Outpatient Department RSUD Dr. Moewardi. The aim of this study is to compare the effectiveness of MOCA-INA assessment tool with the T-MOCA.Results: There were 424 patients who underwent MOCA-INA examination during January-June 2022. After screening, 185 patients were able to complete the study. Subjects consisted of 67 males (36.2%) and 118 females (63.8%); aged 65-74 years (44.9%), 75-84 years (25.9%), and 85 years (29.2%). It was found that the conformity diagnosis of MOCA-INA to T-MOCA was 82.3% in the conversion test. There were significant differences between normal patients and MCI patients in age (p=0.000), education level (p=0.000), MOCA-INA score (p=0.000), and T-MOCA score (p=0.000). The relationship between MOCA-INA and T-MOCA has a strong positive correlation (p = 0.000; r = 0.789). Subsequent correlation test between MOCA-INA and T-MoCA showed a strong significant relationship in the direction of gender (p = 0.000; r = 0.438) and education level (p = 0.000; r = -0.323)Conclusion: Both MOCA-INA and T-MOCA could significantly determine the level of cognitive function with a strong correlation between the two assessments.

Abstract

Introduction: Triceps skinfold thickness is one of the anthropometric measurements that can indicate the nutritional status of overweight and obesity. Girls with obesity have 2.42 times the possibility of experiencing early menarche than girls with normal nutritional status. So it is estimated that the thicker triceps skinfold thickness, the earlier age at menarche in girls, but this opinion raises pros and cons through several studies, therefore the researcher wants to see the relationship between the two variables. Methods: This research is a cross-sectional observational analytic study with a purposive sampling method. All samples were asked to read the informed consent form and fill out a questionnaire regarding the age at menarche and measurements were made on the triceps skinfold thickness in the upper arm area using a skinfold caliper. Then the variables were analyzed univariate and bivariate using the Spearman test. Results: Based on the results of the Spearman correlation test between triceps skinfold thickness and age at menarche, it can be seen that the age at menarche has a significant relationship with triceps skinfold thickness as seen from p<0.05 (p=0.012). From the correlation test, it was found that there was a negative correlation between the sample's age at menarche and triceps skinfold thickness (r = - 0.188).Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between the age at menarche and triceps skinfold thickness in girls (age 11-16).
