Abstract

The study aims at investigating the description and the influence of learning anxiety, students’ perceptions on teacher’s teaching skills, classroom climate, and learning motivation on learning outcomes of Mathematics. The study is an ex post facto with causality. The sample were 239 students of class VIII selected by employing proportional stratified random sampling. Data were collected using several instruments : (1) questionnaire of learning anxiety, (2) questionnaire of students’ perception on teacher’s teaching skills, (3) questionnaire of classroom climate, (4) questionnaire of learning motivation, and (5) test of learning outcomes. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics with SEM method. The results of the study reveal that (1) class VIII students at SMP in Tana Toraja have medium learning anxiety, students’ perception on teacher’s teaching skills is in high category, the classroom climate is in high category, learning motivation is in high category, and learning outcomes is in medium category, (2) the learning anxiety gives positive and significant influence (p = 0,379) on learning outcomes, (3) students’ perception on teacher’s teaching skills give positive and significant influence (p = 0,473) on learning outcomes, (4) classroom climate gives negative and significant influence (p=0,519) on learning outcomes, (5) learning anxiety gives positive but insignificant (p=0,9317) on learning outcomes through learning motivation, (6) students’ perception on teacher’s teaching skills give positive and significant influence (p=0,9447) on learning outcomes through learning motivation of students, (7) classroom climate gives negative and insignificant influence ((p=0,9015) on learning outcomes through learning motivation of students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) Mengetahui kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika sebelum penerapan Model Pemecahan Masalah DDFK. (2) Mengetahui kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika sesudah penerapan Model Pemecahan Masalah DDFK. (3) Mengetahui Efektivitas Penerapan Model Pemecahan Masalah DDFK terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pre-eksperimental design dengan One-Group Pretest-Posttes Design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X4 SMA Negeri 11 Makassar yang berjumlah 40 siswa terdiri dari 1 kelas. Sampel diambil secara random atau acak karena terdiri dari 9 kelas. Instrumen yang digunakan penulis dalam penelitian ini adalah tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa yang terkait dengan materi Trigonometri, dan lembar observasi. Pengolahan data yang dilakukan penulis dalam hal ini adalah dengan menggunakan analisis statistik. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika sebelum penerapan Model Pemecahan Masalah DDFK adalah 50,88 sedangkan rata-rata kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika setelah penerapan Model Pemecahan Masalah DDFK adalah 78,50. Adapun analisis statistik inferensial untuk instrumen dalam bentuk tes menunjukkan nilai dan nilai sehingga nilai F yang dicari = 1,98. Dengan demikian > atau F > 0, berarti model pemecahan masalah DDFK efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas X4 SMA Negeri 11 Makassar.

Abstract

This study was a research and development which aimed at developing and producing mathematics learning tool for Geometry learning which was valid, reliable, objective, and practical.The product expected from this study was the learning tools on the topic of Geometry which was valid (R>85%), practical ( observe = 2) , and effective (THB = 85,7%, students activity > 80%, and positive response 98,7%). The product was consisted of 8 components, namely (1) Lesson plan; (2) Text book; (3) Worksheet; (4) Evaluation test of learning tools; (5) Observation sheet of students activity; (6) Observation sheet on implementation of learning tool; (7) questionnaire of students respons; and (8) validation sheet. The development process of authentic evaluation instrument used the modification of 4-D Model from Thiagarajan.The tried out was conducted at SMAN 1 Enrekang to grade X students. The result of the study revealed that the development of authentic evaluation instrument for Geometry learning which was valid, reliable, objective, and practical. Suggestion for this study are (1) other researchers who are interested in developing this study should learn the limitation of this study and (2) the development of authentic evaluation instrument for Geometry learning should also develop other subject materials to assist teachers in evaluating student’s based on their competence.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (research and development) yang mengacu pada model pengembangan 4-D atau model Thiagaraja yang terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu tahap define (fendefenisian), design (perancangan), develop (pengembangan) dan desseminate (penyebaran. Dengan tujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran bagaimana cara pengembangan bahan ajar yang valid dan efektif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA2 SMA Negeri 5 Baraka tahun ajaran 2017/2018 yang berjumlah 33 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data penelitian dibagi atas dua yaitu instrumen pengujian kevalidan yang berupa angket dan instrumen pengujian keefektifan berupa lembar tes hasil belajar siswa, lembar observasi dan aktifitas siswa. Data yang telah diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis data deskriptif. Berdasarkan uji coba kevalidan buku ajar yang dikembangkan berada pada kategori valid dengan nilai rata-rata semua aspek penilaian 3,14. Sedangkan penilaian untuk hasil belajar siswa menunjukkan nilai rata-rata 87,18 %, jumlah siswa yang tuntas pada proses pembelajaran adalah 29 orang atau sekitar 88% dan yang tidak tuntas sebanyak 4 orang atau sekitar 12%. Hal ini menandakan buku ajar yang dikembangkan efektif digunakandalam proses pembelajaran. Respon siswa lebih dari 50% memberikan respon positif terhadap buku ajar yang dikembangkan serta berminat untuk mengikuti pembelajaran dengan pendekatan konstruktivisme. Sedangkan pengamatan Aktivitas siswa selama kegiatan pembelajaran sudah cukup baik. Dari hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa buku ajar yang dikembangkan memenuhi kategori valid dan efektif.

Abstract

This study aims at finding out whether or not the implementation of jigsaw listening improves the Listening comprehension of the first year students of a state senior high school in Enrekang. This study employs a quasi experimental method. The population of this study is the first year students of a state senior high school in Enrekang in the academic year 2012/2013. It uses random sampling, taking two classes totalling 52 students. It involves two groups, namely experimental class and control class. The students’ pre-test and post-test shows that there is significance different between experimental and control group. The result of the gained of mean score shows the difference between those groups. The difference of the mean score of pre-test and post-test of experimental group is 16.62 while control group is 0.73. It means that . The students of experimental group get better improvement than the students’ of control group. Thus, it can be concluded that the hypothesis is tenable. Besides, the t-test value of gained score (2.65) is higher than t-table (2.021). Thus, it can be concluded that the jigsaw listening improves the students’ listening comprehension.

Abstract

Perbandingan Motivasi Belajar dan Hasil Belajar Biologi Materi Sistem Indera Melalui Strategi Pembelajaran Tandur dan Strategi Pembelajaran Ekspositori pada Siswa Kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 8 Makassar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1)Mengetahui motivasi belajar melalui strategi pembelajaran TANDUR dan strategi pembelajaran ekspositori siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 8 Makassar; 2) Mengetahui hasil belajar melalui strategi pembelajaran TANDUR dan strategi pembelajaran ekspositori siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 8 Makassar; 3) Mengetahui perbedaan tingkat motivasi belajar melalui strategi pembelajaran TANDUR dan strategi pembelajaran ekspositori siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 8 Makassar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu (Quasy Experiment). Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA4 dan XI IPA5 SMA Negeri 8 Makassar semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2017/2018 yang berjumlah 71 orang, diperoleh dengan menggunakan Simple Random Sampling, kelas XI IPA5 diajar melalui strategi pembelajaran TANDUR dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 38 orang, sedangkan kelas XI IPA4 diajar melalui strategi pembelajaran ekspositori dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 33 orang. Data yang telah diperoleh selanjutnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan motivasi belajar kelas yang diajar melalui strategi TANDUR untuk kategori sangat rendah 7.89%, rendah 7.89%, sedang 57.89%, tinggi 26.33%, sedangkan motivasi belajar kelas yang diajar melalui strategi ekspositori untuk kategori rendah 51.53%, sedang 18.18%, tingg 18.18%, sangat tinggi 12.12%. Hasil belajar biologi materi sistem indera yang diajar melalui strategi TANDUR untuk kategori amat baik 18.42%, baik 81.58%, sedangkan hasil belajar kelas yang diajar melalui startegi ekspositori unutk kategori amat baik 15.15%, baik 84.85%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada perbedaan motivasi belajar melalui strategi pembelajaran TANDUR dan strategi pembelajaran ekspositori siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 8 Makassar, dimana motivasi belajar siswa melalui strategi TANDUR lebih tinggi dibanding dengan strategi ekspositori dan ada perbedaan hasil belajar biologi materi sistem indera melalui strategi pembelajaran TANDUR dan strategi pembelajaran ekspositori siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 8 Makassar, dimana hasil belajar dengan menerapkan strategi TANDUR lebih tinggi dibanding dengan penerapan strategi ekspositori.

Abstract

This research was a descriptive qualitative research which aims to describe the characteristics of the level of mathematics literacy skills and students' thinking skills in terms of the level of mathematical ability in PISA. Data collection methods used in this study were written tests and interviews. The main instrument of this study was the researcher himself who was assisted with assistive instruments in the form of PISA mathematics questions, and interview guidelines. The results showed that all subjects met the indicators of level 1 PISA math ability and were the highest level for Subject 2. So that the level of mathematical literacy ability in Subject 2 was at level 1 and thinking skills were in Low Order Thinking. Indicator of PISA mathematics ability level 6 was fulfilled by Subject 3 and Subject 4. So that the level of mathematics literacy ability in Subject 3 and Subject 4 was level 6 and thinking skills were at the High Order Thinking level.

Abstract

Penelitian Eksperimen ini dilakukan di Program Studi Bimbingan Konseling dengan subjek penelitian adalah Mahasiswa semester 3 dengan jumlah 10 orang. Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah Mahasiswa semester 3 mengalami kemandirian belajar yang rendah. Rumusan masalah penelitian ini adalah (1) Bagaimana gambaran kemandirian belajar mahasiswa sebelum penerapan Teknik Regulasi diri di Program Studi Bimbingan Konseling. (2) Bagaimana gambaran pelaksanaan teknik regulasi diri untuk meningkatkan kemandirian belajar Mahasiswa di Program Studi Bimbingan Konseling (3) Bagaimana pengaruh Penerapan Teknik Regulasi diri terhadap kemandirian belajar Mahasiswa di Program Studi Bimbingan Konseling. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian Pre-Experimental Designs. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan angket. Analisis data menggunakan analisis kuantitatif. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa Teknik Self-Regulation dapat untuk meningkatkan kemandirian belajar. Dengan demikian hasil penelitian ini (1) kemandirian belajar Mahasiswa meningkat setelah diberikan perlakuan berupa latihan regulasi diri meningkat. (2) Penerapan Teknik Self-Regulation memberi pengaruh positif terhadap kemandirian belajar Mahasiswa di Program Studi Bimbingan konseling.

Abstract

The objective of the research is to improve speaking skill of English House Course students through English camp strategy. This was an pre-experimental research using one group on pre-test and post-test design, the population of this research was the students of English House Course which has 80 students. Because the total number of the population was big enough, the researcher took 20 samples and applied random sampling technique; it means that one class of the population were taken as samples and the data was analyzed into percentage, mean score analyzes and the value of the t-test. The result of the data analyzes shows that the students’ achievement on the pre-test was 71,7 and post-test was 86,1. This shows that English camp is a good strategy in English learning process at the students of English House Course Maroangin. After analyzing the data by using the t-test formula, the result of the t-test value (11,86) was greater than t-table value (2,093). This indicated that the hypothesis of research is accepted. There is a significant Influence of English camp program towards the students’ achievement in English learning process. The researcher does English camp in English House Course Maroangin Kabupaten Enrekang for five days and it gives positive effect of students’ skill in speaking. All item of learning achievement able to improve the students’ speaking skill.

Abstract

This research aimed at finding whether the students were motivated to speak English by using communication games and also finding out students’ part. The sample consisted of 30 students in participation in the classroom. In this reaserch the data were obtained through questionnaire (one and two). The result of the questionnaire’s description showed that the motivation of students was positive. It can be concluded that students are motivated to learn English through communication games. It was proved from the findings the of the students’ averange score that was 89.6 and the mean score was 4.48. The level of motivation was considered very high based on Likert Scale, and the result of the Questionnaire preference showed that the students prefer jigsaw as communication games in speaking English with percentage, Jigsaw (56.7%), Giving Direction (33.3%), and Picture Pairs (10%).
