This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Drill method to improve the understanding of writing hijaiyyah letters through a reglet board on students with visual impairments in grade 2 at SDLB Putra Manunggal Gombong, Kebumen. This research is a classroom action research with 4 students of SDLB Putra Manunggal Gombong as the research subjects. This study consisted of 2 cycles that each cycle has three times of meetings. The utilized instruments were test sheet, interview sheet, and observation sheet. Triangulation techniques was used to validate the data. The results showed that: (1) the Drill method was effective in improving students ability to write hijaiyyah braille letters and that achieved a good category; (2) the understanding of writing hijaiyyah letters of SDLB students was increased through Drill method. They achieved an average value in the first cycle by number 64.66 with 50% learning completeness whereas in the second cycle was 72.34 with 75% learning completeness.Keywords: effectiveness, Drill method, writing comprehension, Reglet board

This research was conducted as the student’s skill in writing descriptive texts in the second grade of SDN 07 Teladan Kota Bukittinggi was still low is because teacher lack an understanding of the step to write a good descriptive. Therefore, this research was intended to describe the improvement of the student’s skill in writing descriptive texts by using Direct Writing Activity strategy in the second grade of SDN 07 Teladan Kota Bukittinggi. This was a classroom action research which used qualitative and quantitative approaches. The subject of research was the practitioner teacher and 32 students in the second grade of SDN 07 Teladan Kota Bukittinggi. The result of the research indicated that the student’s skill in writing descriptive texts improved from 74,48% (adequtae) in the first cycle into 82,94% (good) in the second cycle. It can be concluded, that Direct Writing Activity strategy could improve the student’s skill in writing descriptive text in the second grade of Primary School.Keywords : Writing Skill, Descriptive Texts, Direct Writing Activity strategy

SOLO Taxonomy is one of the frameworks used in analyzing the quality of responses in problem solving. This research aim to analyze the student’s responses level in doing problem solving item based on SOLO Taxonomy overviewed from motivation to learn. The research method used in this study was a qualitative research with the data sources of this study were 75 students period 2016/2017. The results of the study showed that student’s responses in doing problem solving wave concept at prestructural level is 62,17%, Unistructural Level is 27,63%, Multistructural level is 58,22%, Relasional level is 48,50%, and Extended Abstract level is 37,82%; Motivation to learn’s student high category are better at responding to answer item based SOLO Taxonomy than motivation to learn’s students low category.Keywords: Student’s reponses; SOLO Taxonomy; Motivation to Learn

Students’ problem solving ability at any school is still in low category. That is due to student weakness to understand any mathematical problems that linked to the real life around them. One of any cause of this problem is mathematics lesson equipments development and its utilization by teacher are not optimal yet. To solve this problem, mathematics teachers should develop mathematics lesson equipments based on discovery learning for class V student at Elementary school that sutisfied validity, practicality, and efectiveness criteria. This is a development research with 4D models consisting of Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. In preliminary research for Define stage, researcher takes analysis of needs, analysis of curiculum, and analysis of mathematic concepts. Techniques of data collection through interview with teacher mathematics, questionnaire learners, curriculum analysis. Based on the analysis found that the needs of learners in the form of new learning model in addition to conventional learning are better able to increase problem solving ability of able to improve students' problem solving abilities to achieve desired goals and then designed a mathematics teaching material based on discovery learning.Keywords : Problem solving ability, Discovery Learning, 4-D model

This study aimed to analyze and describe effectivity of headmaster role and function to implementing program for improving quality of education in private elementary school of Metro City. The research approach used is qualitative with case study design on the effectiveness of headmaster role and function as educator, manager, administrator, supervisor, leader, innovator, motivator, and entrepreneur. Sources of research data are headmaster, vice headmaster, teachers, committees, supervisors, foundation, and administrative staff of schools with purposive sampling techniques. Data collection techniques used interviews, observations and documentation studies. Data analysis used Miles and Huberman interaction model is data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results of the study are expected to effectively implement the headmaster role and function and involve the stakeholders in an optimal manner. This research aims at finding out the effects of using the Think Pair Share (TPS) type of the Cooperative Model toward 5th grade students’ learning outcomes of the civics subject at SDN 58 Lubuk Buaya Padang. The design of the research was Quasi Experiment. The population was all 5th grade students of the school. The samples were members of class VA and VB which consisted of 20 and 21 students. Based on the analysis of t-test, it was found that tcount > ttable (3,943 > 2,023). Thus, H1 is accepted. It means there is a significant use of the Think Pair Share (TPS) type to toward the 5th grade students’ learning outcomes of the civics subject.Keywords: the TPS learning model, learning outcomes

Penelitian ini membahas tentang keterampilan teknik kolase yang masih rendah karena guru belum mampu memperagakan langkah-langkah dalam membuat keterampilan kolase secara efisien. Dalam praktiknya, guru hanya fokus pada penilaian akhir dari karya tersebut tanpa memerhatikan penilaian proses, padahal penilaian proses dapat digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan keterampilan teknik kolase dengan menggunakan bahan dasar limbah pada metode pembelajaran yang belum bervariasi. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memperbaiki atau meningkatkan keterampilan membuat kolase dengan menggunakan bahan dasar limbah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa membuat kolase dengan menggunakan bahan dasar limbah dapat meningkatkan keterampilan siswa mulai dari 59,7% menjadi 70,3%. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa dapat menempel bahan limbah dengan terampil sementara guru hanya berperan sebagai fasilitator atau motivator di kelas. Kata kunci: Teknik Kolase, Bahan Limbah. IMPROVING SKILLS OF COLLAGE TECHNIQUE BY USING WASTE MATERIALSIN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL NO. 04 BIRUGO BUKITTINGGI AbstractThis study discusses about the skill of collage techniques which is still low because the teacher has not been able to demonstrate the steps of making collage efficiently. Practically, the teacher just focuses on the result of the artwork without engaging the assessment of its process, whereas it is useful to describe the skills of collage technique by using waste materials in the model of unvaried learning.This study is a Classroom Action Research using qualitative and quantitative approaches. The purpose of this study is to repair or improve the skills of making collage by using waste materials. The results show that making collage by using waste materials can improve students’ skills from 59,7% to 70,3% at the end. From that It can be concluded that the students can adhere the waste materials skillfully and the teacher just plays role as a facilitator or motivator in the class Keywords: Collage Technique, Waste Materials.

The porpuse of this research was to describe the activity and learning result of social studies with quantum teaching model. This type of research is a classroom action research, which the stepon the class room research is the planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The research approach is qualitative research. Place of research at SD Pariaman city. Research subject is fourth elementary school, total students is 30. This research data collected by the instrument activity and learning result. Research shows, use quantum teaching model in learning social studies hearts can be improve the commercial article activities on students learning. The increase of social studies learning, show learners can work together with members of his group, created an atmosphere of fun, empowering and enabling the learners thinking ability, which in the end is geared towards the improvement of the capabilities and the results of learning social studies. PENGEMBANGAN BAHAN AJAR MEMBACA BERORIENTASI KOOPERATIF TIPE CIRC DI KELAS IV SEKOLAH DASAR Sry Apfani

This research is motivated by the importance of developing learning materials that can improve students' reading skill. Based on the above, developed learning materials oriented learning model of cooperative type CIRC. The purpose of developing this instructional material is to produce a valid, practical, and effective reading material. Type of research is research development . The development model is a 4-D model consisting of definitions, design, development, and disseminate. The result of validity test was valid with average value 3.35. The result of observation of the implementation of RPP states that the teaching material is practical with an average value of 90.90. In the effectiveness test stage, the average result obtained 92.33 and as many as 19 students from 20 people total reach Minimum Criteria completeness (KKM). Based on these results, it can be concluded that the reading material oriented cooperative learning model type CIRC in class IV Primary School that has been produced can be declared valid, practical, and effectiveKeywords: Development of Learning Materials, Reading, CIRC

This research is a collaboration between faculty and students, with the aim of generating a synergy in the final work. The purpose of this study was to increase student’s ability to sing national anthems with direct teaching on 4th grade of SDN 01 Bandar Buat Padang. This study uses qualitative and quantitative approach to the type of research is the Classroom Action Research (PTK ). The results showed the increase of student’s ability to sing outcomes in the first cycle is obtained an average of 74,6 % , while in the second cycle gained an average of 87,6 %.Keywords: Singing Skills; Direct Learning Model
