Abstract

This study was conducted to describe code switching and code mixing in the learning process of postgraduate students of Arabic Language Education (PBA) semester II and the factors that cause code switching and code mixing in the learning process of postgraduate students of Arabic language education in the second semester. Researchers use learning in postgraduate students as the object of research because in learning, language mixing often occurs when delivering material. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method with a conversational engagement listening technique, a conversational engagement free technique and a field note technique or sampling technique. The result of this research is the finding of an external form of code switching, namely code switching from Indonesian to Arabic and code switching from Arabic to Indonesian. As for code mixing found in the study, namely the insertion of words, phrases and clauses. While the factors causing the occurrence of code switching and code mixing were found because of the urgent need of speakers to provide understanding to the interlocutor.

Abstract

Maṣdar ṣināiy is an ism that includes ya' nisbat along with ta' taknits to show the nature in it. Sometimes it is formed from ism fail, ism maf'ūl, ism tafḍil, ism jāmid, ism alam, and ism maṣdar. The purpose of this study was to determine the origin of the type of maṣdar ṣināiy in the book of Al Barzanji. This research is a qualitative research with library research design. The data is in the form of maṣdar ṣināiy in the book of Al Barzanji. Data collection techniques using documentation techniques. In this study, it was found as many as 33 maṣdar ṣināiy data in the Al Barzanji book, based on the origin of the maṣdar ṣināiy type, there were 7 data from ism fāil, 2 data from ism maf'ūl, 3 data from ism alam, 19 data from ism jāmid , and 2 data came from ism maṣdar. Based on cases and grammatical markers, the researchers found 5 nominative case data with dhummah grammatical markers (vocal u), 1 accusative case data with fathah grammatical markers (vocal a), and 27 genetic case data with kasroh grammatical markers (vocal i). Based on the syntatic function, the researcher found 2 data had a syntatic function as fā’il, 4 data had a syntatic function as khobar, 5 data had a syntatic function as majrur, 11 data had a syntatic function as muḍaf ilaih, 8 data had a syntatic function as tābi’, 1 data had a syntatic function as mustatsna, 1 data had a syntatic function as maḍruf, and 1 data had a syntatic function as inna’s ism.

Abstract

Arabic as a flexion language of the Semitic language families has significant differences with Indonesian as an agglutinating language of the Austronesian families in terms of its outward characteristics and structure. Classes of ism and nouns when examined based on their syntactic linguistics in the grammatical categories, case, definite, number, and gender, it is found that there are many differences in their characteristics and markers. These grammatical categories relate to the principle of concordance or conformity to sentence construction. This analysis contrastive research aims to describe the comparison of isms and nouns based on case, definite, number, gender, and concordance so that similarities and differences can be identified. This research is library research with comparative descriptive method and data collection technique using documentation technique. The data in this study are sentences in Arabic and Indonesian containing these grammatical categories which are found in various sources, namely Arabic Syntax, Complete Guide to Learning Arabic in Nahwu Science, Man's Search for Meaning, and several print media like newspapers. The results of the study show that there are many differences and few similarities because the two languages ​​come from different families.

Abstract

A simile is an expression that indicates one has something in common with others in character, either overtly or covertly, by comparing it with the furniture. In Quran juz 27 there are various types of similes. In Al-Qur'an Juz 27, there are 4 cases: what sentences have simile elements in Al-Qur'an Juz 27, simile components in Al-Qur'an Juz 27, and types of two ends of similes in Al-Qur'an Juz 27, and types of simile in Al-Qur'an juz 27. The objectives that need to achieve in this research are to find the sentences containing simile/tasbeeh elements in Al-Qur'an juz 27, to know the simile/tasbeeh components in Al-Qur'an juz 27, to understand the types of two-ended simile/tasbeeh in Al-Qur'an chapter 27, and to know the kinds of simile/tasbeeh in Al-Qur'an juz 27. This research is qualitative research with a library research design. The data collecting process is done by applying the documentation technique. The research instruments used are data cards and recapitulation. In analyzing the data, the distributional method (metode Agih) is applied. Based on the research that has been done by the researcher, 15 simile sentences were found in the Al-Qur'an Juz 27. The researcher apprehended the whole data. Based on the type of two-ended simile, there are three types analyzed. (1) based on hissi and 'aqli, (2) based on mufrod and murokkab, (3) based on the numbers. Based on hissi and 'aqli, there are 8 basic data of similes in the form of hissi similes (hissiyaani), and 7 basic data of 'aqli similes form of hissi similes. According to mufrod murokkab, there are 1 data of mufrod muthlaq simile, 5 murokkabaani similes, 6 base data of mufrod similes in murokkab. Based on the numbers, no data was found. There are four types of similes analyzed based on their presence or absence: (1) the presence or absence of simile content, (2) the presence or absence of simile furniture, (3) the absence of simile content and furniture, and (4) unique similes. Based on the presence or absence of simile content, there are 12 data of mujmal simile and 1 data of mufashal simile, which also counts as ghoiru tamtsil simile. Based on the presence or absence of the furniture of simile, there exist 13 data of mursal similes. Based on the absence of simile content and furniture, there are 2 data found on baligh similes. No unique simile data was found.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are; (1) To find out the directive speech acts used in the Wadjda film; (2) To find out the atmosphere of use, the means of use, who the speakers/users are, the field of use, and the area of ​​use as language variations related to the stigma of Arab ethnicity in the Wadjda film. This research is qualitative research, the research design is in the form of a literature study, the data collection technique is a free-talk-free listening technique, the research instrument uses data cards and data recapitulation sheets, while the data analysis method uses an informal presentation method. In this study, 237 directive speech act data were found which were divided into 55 forms of order; 86 forms of rule; 11 forms of ruling in negation form; 44 forms of advising; 19 forms of pleading; and 22 forms of recommending. The language variation that is highlighted in this study is the variation in terms of female speakers because this film is set in the social background of women's lives in Saudi Arabia.

Abstract

Still the lack of availability of Arabic storybooks for students makes students' reading interest less, especially reading Arabic. Many teachers rarely use storybooks in Arabic learning. Therefore researchers developed the Arabic-language Sunan Kalijaga storybook to motivate and develop an interest in reading students' Arabic. This research is a research and development design. The result of this study is that teachers and students want the development of Sunan Kalijaga storybooks in Arabic. The assessment of the validation questionnaire by experts and teachers on the feasibility aspects of the content and material received a score of 3.40. In the aspect of feasibility of presentation (display) get a value of 3.13. In the aspect of language eligibility get a score of 2.99. Meanwhile, in the aspect of graphics feasibility get a value of 3.05.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of interest in learning and Arabic tutoring Al-Muflihin on student learning outcomes in Majene Regency. This type of research is quantitative and the research design uses ex post facto research methods using multiple linear regression analysis models. The subjects in this study were 20 students, who were taken using a saturated sampling technique. From the research results, there is a positive and significant influence between learning interest on student learning outcomes, with regression equation analysis Y = 21.319 + 0.572X. The value of the coefficient of determination is 50.8% and the remaining 49.2% is influenced by other factors. There is a positive and significant influence between tutoring on student learning outcomes, with regression equation analysis Y = 26.395 + 0.515X. The coefficient of determination is 85% and the remaining 15% is influenced by other factors. There is a positive and significant influence between learning interest and tutoring on student learning outcomes, with regression equation analysis Y = 2.419 + 0.295X1 + 0.421X2. The value of the coefficient of determination X1 and X2 is 95.7% and the remaining 4.3% is influenced by other factors not included in this study. So the conclusion is that there is a significant relationship between learning interest and Al-Muflihin Arabic tutoring on student learning outcomes in Majene Regency.

Abstract

Every student is required to take Arabic course organized by PPB and take the IMKA exam to measure Arabic language skills and as a prerequisite for graduation. In facing the IMKA exam, students got difficulties in solving IMKA questions. As an effort to overcome student problems, this study will analyze the suitability of the contents of al-Syāmil's textbooks to the needs of students in facing the demands of IMKA graduation. This research was conducted to answer the following problems: (1) What are the student's needs in facing the demands of IMKA graduation? (2) How is the analysis of the suitability of al-Syāmil's textbooks with the needs of students in facing the demands of IMKA graduation? This study uses a qualitative method. Data obtained from document studies, interviews and questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out in three stages, namely data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that: (1) The needs of students in facing the demands of IMKA graduation were divided into three aspects, namely necessities, lacks, and wants. In the aspect of necessities and want, the needs of students are the same, while in the aspect of lacks, the needs of students are not evenly distributed (different). (2) The suitability of the al-Syāmil textbook with the needs of students is only on the aspect of necessities, while on the aspects of lacks and want, the al-Syāmil textbook is not in accordance with the needs of students in facing the demands of IMKA graduation.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the use of e-learning in teaching Arabic, the model of e-learning application used in teaching Arabic, and the supporting and inhibiting factors in implementing e-learning in teaching Arabic in MAN 1 Kerinci. This study is a field study. The data sources are head school, Arabic language teacher, and students. The other data source is documents related to e-learning for teaching Arabic in MAN 1 Kerinci. The methods used to collect data are observation, interview, and documentation. The technics used to collect data are information reduction, data presentation, and verification of conclusions. To correct the data, the researcher used the triangulation technique. The results for this study are; 1) E-learning in Arabic language education is not ready in MAN 1 Kerinci for implementation due to several factors, 2) Teaching Arabic using WhatsApp application with WhatsApp group feature. The network of communication that occurs between teacher and students in this feature tends to be non-communicative. 3) It supports the use of e-learning in learning Arabic for the reason of several factors; a) the policy of the socialization contract from the government to implement e-learning in learning during the pandemic, b) optimism from the administration and teachers to be able to Adapt quickly to the use of e-learning. Disincentives to using e-learning in Arabic language learning include; a) teacher and students do not have the opportunity to meet and interact directly, b) lack of facilities in the form of e-learning facilities from both teacher and students, c) the deadline is too short, while students still need time to understand learning material, d) parents cannot continue to escort, e) unstable internet.

Abstract

Directive speech acts are speech acts that function to direct the speech partner to do something. The purpose of this study is to increase understanding of the directive speech acts contained in the film Umar Bin Khattab. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive qualitative research design. The data is in the form of directive speech acts with the data source of the Umar Bin Khattab film. The instrument used in this research is a data card. The data collection technique used the referencing method. The data collection technique used the equivalent method. The results of this study indicate that in the film Umar Bin Khattab found 104 data, with the following divisions: 21 utterances in the form of requests, 39 utterances in the form of questions, 22 utterances in the form of orders, nine utterances in the form of prohibitions, five utterances in the form of giving permission, and eight utterances in the form of advice. . Of the six types of directive speech acts in this film, the question form is the most used, and the permission form is the least used.
