Place attachment consists of two dimensions, in which both dimensions have different form of attachment. Place dependence can be formed if a place can fulfilled one’s goal. Whereas, place identity can be formed because a place has a symbolic meaning for a person. Result in this study showed that r = 0,043 and p < 0,198; which means there is no correlation between place dependence and prosocial behavior among social volunteers. Result in this study also showed that r = 0,266 and p = 0,000; which means place identity has a positive correlation with prosocial behavior among social volunteers. Keywords: Place attachment, prosocial behavior, social volunteers

Abstract

The exposure to matters related to sexuality and pornography makes sexuality education for elementary students an important thing to do. The goals are to equip and empower young people with the information, skills and positive values, and to make young people understand and responsible for their sexuality health and wellbeing. Cases relating to the issue of sexuality have begun to appear in students of grade 4-6 at SD N, but teachers appear not to have fully applied sexuality education to their students. This study aims to get an idea about teacher’s intention, included teacher’s attitude toward behavior, subjective norm, and perceived behavior control in teaching sexuality to grade 4-6 students. The research design used in this study is mixed-method design. The number of participants of this study are 20 people (50% male and 50% female) with age range from 24 years old to 42 years old. The results showed that the majority of teachers (55%) have moderate intention, high attitude toward behavior (80%), moderate subjective norm (80%) and moderate perceived behavior control (65%). Abstract

This study aims to look at the relationship between personality types and self-adjustment of migrant students in Universitas Tarumanagara. Personality defined as a pattern of unique characteristics and relatively permanent traits, which are individuality and consistency in an individual’s behavior. Self-adjustment can be said as the changes which made to the environment as an effort to fit with the individual. The design of this study is quantitative, non-experimental to see whether there is a personality relationship to the adjustment of migrant psychology students at Tarumanagara University. The number of research subjects was 62 students consisting of 12 male and 50 female psychology students at Tarumanagara University who were all overseas students from various regions in Indonesia. These participants filled in the Big 5 Personality questionnaire. This reseach aimed at finding the personality tendency that supports the migrant students to get adjusted easier in the new living environment. Findings indicate that both ‘agreeableness’ and ‘conscientiousness’ aspects of the Big 5 Personality have greater contribution on individual’s self-adjustment than the other three aspects. In other words, individuals who are more ‘agreeable’ and ‘conscientious’, tend to have better ability to adjust socially and emotionally. Personality aspects play a role in the situation which shows the success of students to adjust to the environment.
