Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperbaiki proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran dan meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dengan menerapkan metode pembelajaran Discovery Learning pada pokok bahasan Jamur pada siswa kelas X. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas, dilaksanakan di kelas X SMAN 3 Simpang Hilir Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016 dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 31 orang. Instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah berupa lembar observasi untuk mengukur motivasi belajar siswa dan soal tes pilihan ganda berjumlah 20 butir untuk mengukur hasil belajar. Dari hasil analis didapatkan bahwa prestasi belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I sampai siklus II yaitu, siklus I (51,16) dan siklus II (71,23). Ketuntasan klasikal siklus I (22,58%) dan siklus II (70,97%). Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode discovery learning dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Kata Kunci: pembelajaran biologi, metode discovery learning, motivasi belajar  Abstract: The aim of this research was to improve the process of learning and  student motivation by implementing discovery learning on Fungi subject. This study conducted through a Classroom Action Research. This research was done in the class X SMAN 3 Simpang Hilir in Academic Year 2015/2016. They consisted of 31 students. The instruments was used in this research was an observation sheet and multiple choice questions that consisted 20 questions. The students averages on first cycle were 51.16, and on second cycle were 71.23. it revealed that 22,58% on first cycle and 70,97% on second cycle. Based on the mentioned results above, it can be concluded that improving students motivation through discovery learning on Fungi subject of class X SMAN 3 Simpang Hilir was successful to be implemented. Abstract

This study aims to investigate the influence of learning based multimedia presentation and learning motivation on receiving information  ability by third grade of elementary school in Pontianak. The research design use 2 x 2 factorial. The sampling technique which  population sampling is 60 students in 2 class. Liliefors test was used to test data normality. Barlett test of Chi Square statistic was used for testing data homogeneity. Analysis of variance (ANAVA) was used to analyze data followed by two line. The finding in this research are: (1) Receiving information ability on  learning with animation class have superior or higher than dari Receiving information ability on  learning with image class; (2) There are interaction on  learning based multimedia presentation with learning motivation on receiving information ability; (3) Student have great learning motivation and learning with animation have superior than great learning motivation and learning with image; (4) Student have low learning motivation used learning with image have superior than student have low motivation used leaning with animation. The result of this research are expected to have implications for learning in classrooms for teacher and student.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperbaiki proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran dan meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan mengkombinasikan model pembelajaran kooperatif dan media animasi pada pokok bahasan sistem koordinasi pada siswa kelas XI. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas, dilaksanakan di kelas XI IPA SMAN 2 Simpang Hilir Tahun Ajaran 2014/2015 dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 19 orang. Instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah berupa lembar observasi untuk melihat pelaksanaan pembelajaran dan soal tes pilihan ganda berjumlah 15 butir untuk mengukur hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persentase pelaksanaan pembelajaran pada siklus I dan siklus II sama yaitu sebesar 100 %. Sedangkan hasil belajar diperoleh rata-rata sebesar 65,61 pada siklus I dan meningkat menjadi 80,00 pada siklus II. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif disertai media animasi dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Abstract

Speaking is a crucial part in English as a foreign language teaching and learning because the success of English mastery can be measured if the students can speak in the target language (Nunan: 2003). Unfortunately, although English has been taught for many years in Indonesia, only a few of Indonesian students have a good mastery in speaking. There are many challenges that the students face. These include low mastery of English (pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar), high use of mother tongue in English class, limited opportunities to explore the students’ potentials in speaking, speaking activities were dominated by talkative students, and  students who are not enthusiastic or interested in joining the speaking activities. To improve this condition, Problem Based Learning (PBL) can be a good alternative in teaching speaking. PBL is a motivating way to learn because learners are involved in active learning and working with real problems and what they have to learn in their class seen as important and relevant to their own lives. Speaking is no longer a repetition of drills or memorization of dialogue but it uses as a real communication.   This study is aimed at finding out whether the implementation of PBL improves the students speaking competence. It will also describe the teaching and learning conditions in which PBL is implemented in the classroom. Keywords: teaching speaking, PBL, real communication.

Abstract

The objective of this article is to discuss the classification of clause type in English Grammar commonly used for either formal or informal conversation. It cannot be avoided that people always tell, ask, command, request and perform other acts for their daily communicative purpose. These kinds of acts are commonly referred as Clause Type. Basically, there are four terms of clause type in English namely declarative, interrogative, exclamative, and imperative. Those terms of clause type are employed to accomplish different communicative intentions. Moreover, knowing Clause type in English may contribute a clear understanding during having English intercourse with the speakers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mereduksi miskonsepsi mahasiswa tentang fluida menggunakan virtual laboratorium. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes diagnostik berupa pilihan ganda dengan alasan terbuka pada satu kelas yang dipilih secara intact group. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penerapan virtual laboratorium  dapat mereduksi miskonsepsi tentang fluida yang dialami mahasiswa. Kata kunci: Virtual Laboratory, Miskonsepsi, Fluida  Abstrak :This study aims to reduce pre-service physics teachers’ misconceptions about fluid using virtual laboratory. To obtain data, diagnostic test (multiple choice) with opened-reasons was given to students that were selected by intact group. Abstract

Penelitian ini berangkat dari latar belakang masih ditemukan rendahnya  keterampilan bertanya guru dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Hal ini dapat diketahui pada saat peneliti mengadakan supervisi kunjungan kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan keterampilan bertanya guru dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan bentuk pendekatan deskriptif, dengan menggunakan teknik persentase untuk melihat peningkatan  dari siklus ke siklus.  Prosedur  pelaksanaan penelitian terdiri dari tahap : (1)  Perencanaan, (2) Pelaksanaan, (3) Observasi  dan (4) Refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa  melalui supervisi kunjungan kelas   dapat meningkatkan keterampilan bertanya guru dalam kegiatan proses pembelajaran, Pada siklus pertama rata-rata  nilai  perolehan 33,33%, sedangkan siklus kedua rata-rata 72,21%  terjadi peningkatan  dari  siklus satu  ke siklus dua sebesar 38,88% Kata kunci:   Keterampilan Bertanya,  Guru, dan  Supervisi  Kunjungan Kelas

Abstract

Karir guru merupakan posisi atau jabatan yang diduduki selama ia menekuni profesi keguruan. Data dari Dinas Pendidikan Kota Tegal Tahun 2015 terdapat 1.253 orang guru golongan IV, dengan rincian 2 orang guru golongan IV/c, 17 orang guru golongan IV/b dan 1.234 orang guru masih bergolongan IV/a. Adapun guru IPS SMA/MA/SMK di Kota Tegal yang menduduki golongan IV/b hanya 2 orang dan 57 guru masih berada di golongan IV/a dengan rentang waktu kemandegan karir lebih dari 8 tahun. Tertundanya kepangkatan guru inilah yang menjadi dasar pemikiran melakukan penelitian terhadap kemandegan karir guru IPS SMA/ MA/ SMK Negeri di Kota Tegal dan melakukan analisis yang mendalam terhadap faktor tersebut. Ada 3 faktor kuat yang diduga sangat berpengaruh terhadap kemandegan karir guru yaitu, (1) motivasi; (2) lingkungan kerja; (3) dukungan atasan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan korelasional asosiatif, metode yang digunakan bersifat ex post facto dengan populasi 59 guru IPS SMA/MA/SMK Negeri yang berstatus PNS. Populasi yang kurang dari 100 mengakibatkan populasi dalam penelitian ini sekaligus menjadi sampel penelitian. Data dianalisis dengan SPSS for windows vs 15 dengan hasil bahwa motivasi, lingkungan kerja dan dukungan atasan secara simultan berpengaruh terhadap kemandegan karir guru IPS SMA/MA/SMK Negeri di Kota Tegal. Disarankan bagi Dinas Pendidikan Kota Tegal, hendaknya selalu menghimbau agar senantiasa tertib administrasi, pengembangan sikap profesionalisme sehingga guru termotivasi untuk mengembangkan karirnya dengan baik. Kata kunci: motivasi, lingkungan kerja, dukungan atasan, kemandegan karir.

Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada review kajian penelitian kebugaran disimpulka bahwa ada kecenderungan semakin orang dewasa semakin malas bergerak sehingga tidak bugar. Bukti penelitian menunjukkan hal tersebut. Sampel penelitan 25 mahasiswa keperawatan UNTAN 10 putra dan 15 putri. Di sisi lain pada akhirnya pekerjaan yang dilakukan membutuhkan tingkat kebugaran yang tinggi karena harus melawan kelelahan dan bersinggungan dengan penyakit. Data diperoleh dengan cara dengan teknik tes dan pengukuran. Tes Kesegaran Jasmani yang Berhubungan Dengan Kesehatan, Tes Daya Tahan Jantung Paru, Tes kekuatan Otot Isometrik, Tes kekuatan Isotonik, Bent Knee Sit up (Lutut ditekuk),  Push-Up, Angkat Badan Atas (Extention), Tes Duduk dan Jangkau. Data yang telah terkumpul kemudian dianalisis deskriptif statistic sederhana dalam bentuk persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kebugaran mahasiswa keperawatan UNTAN masih rendah. Sehingga direkomendasikan diadakan program  untuk meningkatkan kebugaran. Kata kunci: kebugaran jasmani   Abstrak : This research based on research reviews about fitness, based on review research found that were as peoples mature will less inactivity and effected on level of  fitness. Samples are 25 students of nurse UNTAN UNIVERSITY, 10  boys and 15 girl. The reasons chosen cause they are directly contact with people ill and will be height risk if their level of fitness are not height enough Data collection  used fitness  test and measurements: endurance test, strength isotonic test, strength isometric test, Bent Knee Sit up,  Push-Up, body Extention test. Data were collected analyzed by statistic descriptive. Data analyzed result that fitness level of nurse student UNTAN are still bellow. The recommendation of this research is needed fitness program for students to improve the fitness level. Key word: level fitness

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh adanya tantangan global yang akan dihadapi oleh dunia pendidikan, sehingga guru perlu membekalkan beberapa kompetensi kepada peserta didik salah satunyayaitu kemampuan berfikir jernih dan kritis.Untuk melatih kemampuan berfikir kritis dilakukan upaya dengan menerapkan strategi pembelajaran berbasis komputer menggunakan simulasi PhET dan Adobe Flash pada materi fluida statis di kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Simpang Hilir. Penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dilakukan dalam 2 (dua) siklus. Hasil tes kemampuan berfikir kritis siswa melalui pembelajaran berbasis komputer diperoleh peningkatan sebesar 22,69 % dari siklus I dengan rata-rata 62,80 % dan siklus II 85,49 %. Tanggapan siswa terhadap pembelajaran berbasis komputer antara lain: siswa merasa senang terhadap pembelajaran fisika (86,79%), siswa tertarik dengan pembelajaran menggunakan simulasi komputer (83,33%), dan siswa sungguh-sungguh dalam mempelajari materi fluida statis (90,24%). Kata Kunci : pembelajaran berbasis komputer, berfikir kritis   Abstract. This research is motivated by the global challenges that will be faced by the world of education, so teachers need to equip some competencies to students one of which is the ability to think clearly and critically. To train the ability to think critically efforts to implement a computer-based learning strategies using PhET simulations and Adobe Flash on a static fluid material in class XI IPA SMAN 1 Simpang downstream. Classroom action research (PTK) is done in two (2) cycles. The test results of students' critical thinking skills through computer-based learning obtained an increase of 22.69% from the first cycle with an average of 62.80% and 85.49% second cycle. The response of students to computer-based learning, among others: students feel happy about learning physics (86.79%), students interested in learning using computer simulation (83.33%), and earnest students learn the material in static fluid (90.24 %).
