Abstract

Deaf students have the right to enjoy formal Quranic Education in schools. Teachers are supposed to plan and execute teaching plans that suit deaf students' abilities. This research aimed to explore the Quran teaching syllabus adopted by teachers and the challenges teachers faces at primary school deaf students in Selangor. This research took a qualitative approach in the case study that employed interview techniques and document analysis to obtain data. Five teachers from the Special Education Integration Program and one from Special Education Primary School were selected as respondents in the research. The selection was made considering their experience in teaching al-Quran to deaf students for at least five years. The interview outcome was strengthened by feedback given by other prominent interviewees, two officers of the Ministry of Education, and an analysis of relevant documents on the Quranic Education of deaf students. This research revealed that teachers used the teaching syllabus mandated by the Ministry of Education and modified the syllabus to suit students' disabilities using Bahasa Melayu Hand Code as a teaching medium. Teachers face challenges in teaching al-Quran to deaf students, such as a lack of teaching training and suitable teaching aids. This research contributed to suggestions on teaching training and innovative teaching aids that could assist teachers in imparting knowledge on al-Quran to deaf students.

Abstract

This article aims to formulate a strategy for preventing anti-religious radicalism at PTKIN's Ma'had al-Jami'ah in Indonesia, which is synergized with the Ma'had al-Jami'ah curriculum for the development of Ma'had al-Jami'ah. This study utilized qualitative research methods and a case study approach. This study's population was Ma'had al-Jamiah at PTKIN in Indonesia. Observation of non-participants and interviews were utilized for data collecting, with condensation, presentation, and conclusion approaches for data analysis. The findings indicated that the strategic procedures implemented by Ma'had al-Jamiah PTKIN in Indonesia involved teachers' appointments. In preventing religious extremism from Ma'had al-Jami'ah PTKIN in Indonesia, one of the most effective measures is to adjust the Ma'had management system's curriculum. In addition, the model for avoiding religious extremism in Ma'had al-Jami'ah was implemented using the teaching model based on the Islamic Yellow Book (Kitab Kuning). Furthermore, this study argued that those responsible for selecting Ma'had al-Jami'ah teachers should comprehensively understand Islam.

Abstract

The study aimed to develop an instrument of Fikih assessment in Madrasah Aliyah (MA) that has good construct validity and at estimating the reliability of the Fikih assessment instrument in MA. This study used Research and Development (R D) Method. The subjects in this study were the students in MAN Cilacap, MAN Banyumas, and MAN Purbalingga. This study found, first, that the instrument of Fikih assessment in the Regency of Cilacap, Banyumas, and Purbalingga has not met its standards as a measurement tool. Second, the development of the Fikih instrument in the MA has used observable variables by conducting a theoretical review of the Fikih learning materials in Grade XI of Senior High School from the 2013 Curriculum. So, the researcher formulated the Fikih Instrument Items and conducted a qualitative analysis with the assistance of the Fikih experts and Evaluation and Assessment experts. Indicators with 30 items have been equal to 0.976, which means that the nine indicators of the Fikih assessment instrument provide reliable estimates for the latent variables of the Fikih instrument.
