Abstract

This research is a class action research that has the aim to try to improve the understanding of mathematical literacy concepts and skills of students with scaffolding assisted by the Inspector and Worksheet on Comparison of Class VII A material at SMP Negeri 1 Jakenan in the 2018/2019 school year.This study consists of 2 cycles, where each cycle consists of 4 stages, namely (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. In this study two assessments were conducted in accordance with the 2013 curriculum, namely the assessment of skills and knowledge.Based on the results of research and discussion described in chapter IV, it can be concluded that the use of scaffolding aided by PENILIK and LKS comparative material can improve the understanding of concepts and mathematical literacy skills of Grade VII A students of SMP Negeri 1 Jakenan 2018/2019 academic year, with an increase in the average student knowledge competence of 8.6% and an increase in the average value of skills of 8.54%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the significant differences between the Jigsaw learning model and the Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) learning model in terms of cooperative skills in 5th grade mathematics subjects at SD Sudirman Salatiga Cluster. This type of research is quasi experimental research or quasi-experimental research. Data analysis techniques used are descriptive analysis techniques and T-Test statistical analysis. The results of the study using the T-Test, the value of tcount was 3.023 and t table 1.995 with a significance level of 0.002. Because the probability value of 0.002 is less than 0.05, H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that the cooperative skills using the Jigsaw model are significantly higher than the STAD model in SD Sudirman Salatiga Cluster. This finding is supported by the average posttest score of the Jigsaw class at 77.93 and the average posttest score of the STAD class at 68.41.Keywords: Jigsaw, STAD, Cooperation Skills

Abstract

Increase students' interest in learning Mathematics by using Active, Creative, Effective and Enjoyable Learning (PAKEM) models on the subject of trigonometric ratios on right triangles. Subjects in this study were students of class X IPS-1 SMA Negeri 2 Siabu which consisted of 21 female students and 9 male students. After applying the PAKEM model, it can be seen from the results of the mathematics learning interest questionnaire for students in the first cycle with an average of 56.58% while the average cycle II is 80.77%. Judging from the results of the first cycle of mathematics learning tests with 53.33% completeness percentage while the second cycle completeness percentage of 83.33%. The results of observations of the activities of students in the first cycle were 60.50%, while the average cycle II was 80.14%. From these results it can be concluded that the application of the PAKEM model can increase students' interest in learning mathematics at SMA Negeri 2 Siabu on the subject of trigonometric ratios on right triangles.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of creativity on student learning outcomes in learning Computational Thingking (CT) and learning with Problem Based Learning (PBL) on solving comparative story material questions (scale on maps) in elementary schools, and to find out whether there is a difference between the acquisition of learning outcomes using Computational Thingking (CT) learning and learning with Problem Based Learning (PBL). This research is a true experimental study using Control group pre-test post test design. The population is Sambiroto 02 Public Elementary School students as many as 75 students in the 2018/2019 school year. The results of the study, namely the average learning outcomes in group E1 (learning with Computational Thinking) 80, with the lowest score of 78 and the highest value of 100. The average learning outcomes in group E2 (learning with Problem Based Learning) 87, with the lowest value of 82 and the highest value of 100 Average learning outcomes in the Control group (Expository learning) 66, with the lowest value 62 and the highest value 76. The effect of creativity on student learning outcomes in the E1 group was 79.95%. The effect of creativity on student learning outcomes in group E2 was 88.12%.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of learning model inside outside circle on mathematics learning outcomes of students of grade IX SMP Negeri 3 Watubangga. This research is a research experiment (quasi experimental design) with the design of non-equivalent control group design. The population is all students of grade IX SMP Negeri 3 Watubangga as much as 52 people. Sampling with a totally sampling technique obtained the IXA class as the experimental class and the IXB class as the control class. The hypothesis test indicates that at the level of the significance α = 0.05, the value of tcount = 2,048 > ttable = 1,676. That means that H0 rejected and H1 accepted. So that the inside outside circle learning model is more effective to mathematics learning outcomes of students in grade IX SMP Negeri 3 Watubangga compared with conventional learning.

Abstract

This research aims to tested the Discovery Learning model is more effective than Inquiry Learning model seen from critical thinking skills of mathematic for students grade 5. This research used the Quasi experimental design. The sample of research is 24 students grade 5 at Sidorejo Lor 03 elementary school as experimenta class and 24 students at Sidorejo Lor 02 as control class. The variable of the research is Discovery learning and Inquiry Learning as X variabel and critical thinking as Y variable. The techique data analysis used normality datatest, homogenity test, t-test, and hypothesis test. The result of t-test score is sig (2-tailed) 0,003 ˂ 0,005 and the conclusion that Ho is refused and Ha is accepted, so the implementating of Discovery learning model is better than Inquiry Learning model seen from critical thinking skills of mathematic grade 5 of students elemtary school, difference in effectiveness model for critical thinking skills supported with the result of post test both of the classes is 81 experimental class and 72 control class.

Abstract

The method that can be used to maintain security of secret in the form of cryptographic keys is by using secret sharing scheme (SSS). This method is first proposed by Adi Shamir in 1979, where the proposed scheme is a (k, n) threshold scheme. Shamir scheme is a perfect scheme under the assumption that all shareholders present their original share. However, if there are dishonest shareholders who present faked shares then the honest shareholders get nothing but a faked secret. Secret sharing scheme based on linear scheme is a scheme that can detect and identify cheaters who submit faked shares at the secret reconstruction. Detectability of this scheme when  and identifiability when  under the assumption that all shareholders present their shares randomly. After conducting a security analysis of the proposed scheme, it is obtained that to succeed in attack with cheaters who work together to fool honest shareholders then a new polynomial g(x) such that g(1) = , g(2) = , …, g(k - 1) =  and a new detector that has the same value as detector d are needed.

Abstract

This research aims to knowed the Discovery Learning model is more effective than Problem Based Learning model seen from critical thinking skills of mathematic for students grade 4. This research is a Pre-Experimental Design with the design of Static Group Comparison.X variable of the research is Discovery Learning (X1), Problem Based Learning (X2), and critical thingking as (Y) variable. Subjects in this research is a 93 students grade 4 SD Gugus Imam Bonjol, Salatiga. The techique data collection used techique test is that description test and non description test is sheet of oservation and rubric critical thinking. Based on research T result test in experiment of group 1 and 2 experiment score symp. sig (2-tailed) of 0,037<0,05 and the conclusion that Ho is refused and Ha is accepted. Then could be conclued as application Discovery Learning model is better than Problem Based Learning model seen from critical thingking skills of mahematic grade 4 SD Gugus Imam Bonjol, Salatiga.

Abstract

Communication is an important ability for every human. Communication in this article is focused on written mathematical communication. This study aims to describe students’ errors in written mathematical communication at SMPN 1 Tembelang, Jombang class VIII F in solving word problems. The type of study is a qualitative descriptive study. The results of the study indicate that (1) there are still many students who are unable to communicate the results of their work properly. (2) The most mathematical error in mathematical communication is couldn’t illustrate the word problems into mathematics equations. (3) It was found that students communicated their answer incoherently (unsystematic and incomplete).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the mistakes of class XI high school students on trigonometric subjects based on gender. The method used is descriptive qualitative. Samples and subjects in this study were taken by purposive sampling consisting of 5 female students and 5 male students of class XI. The results of the research error of male students are at the stage of understanding the problem, as well as at the stage of the problem solving process, where students are less able to show mathematical operations clearly and students are confused when getting symbols or numbers that they do not understand. While for female students the error lies in stage of understanding the problem, the thing that shows the ignorance is the lack of student understanding of the meaning of the terms or special symbols contained in the question.
