Abstract

Covid-19 has made learning activities that are usually held at school replaced at home by using an internet connection. Complaints from students during learning at home are a lot of tasks and because learning activities held at home making students sometimes like to delay doing tasks. The purpose of this study was to determine the causes of mathematics academic procrastination during home learning by high school students. Data retrieval was carried out by distributing questions containing short questions with 22 students as respondents. result of the research is the cause of student procrastinating are how the teacher teaches, smartphone, and other external factors such as home condition and internet connections.

Abstract

This study aims to describe numeracy literacy in integrated thematic learning in the lower grades of elementary school. The participants in this study were low grade students, that is grades 1,2 and 3 of Elementary School. This study uses a descriptive type of qualitative method. The type of data collected is the result of problem solving done by the participants. Data collection techniques in this study using tests. The test instrument consists of several literacy questions and numeracy questions. Based on the results of the research, students can work on literacy questions well even though the accuracy in working on the questions is still lacking, while in the matter of numeracy which is numeracy literacy errors are still found so that students' numeracy literacy skills still need to be improved.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh model problem contextual teaching learning terhadap representasi matematis siswa ditinjau dari jenis kelamin. Jenis penelitian ini mixed methods dengan desain penelitian explanatory sequential. Populasi penelitian yaitu siswa SMP Negeri 10 Kendari. Penentuan sampel menggunakan teknik stratified random sampling. Adapun yang menjadi subjek penelitian yaitu dua siswa berjenis kelamin laki-laki dan dua siswa berjenis kelamin perempuan. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis inferensial, deskriptif dan naratif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model problem contextual teaching learning dalam pembelajaran matematika berpengaruh positif terhadap representasi matematis siswa di SMP Negeri 10 Kendari, secara khusus diinterpretasikan bahwa ternyata representasi matematis subjek perempuan lebih baik daripada subjek laki-laki.

Abstract

This study aims to produce mathematics learning tools in the form Learning Implementation Plans (RPP) and Student Worksheets (LKPD) using a Problem Based Learning (PBL) mathematics learning model on social arithmetic material for class VII tested valid. Development of learning tools in this study uses the method R&D development using the modified ADDIE model into 3 stages, namely: 1) Analysis, 2) Design, 3) Development. In the ADDIE model, the researcher does not use the Implementation stage and the Evaluation stage because at the moment it is still in the atmosphere of the Covid-19 pandemic. The data collections instruments in this study were the RPP validation sheets, and the LKPD validation sheet. The data collection technique used is validation data from 2 Mathematics Education Lecturers FKIP UIR and 2 Mathematics Teachers at MTs Al-Multazam Kerubung Jaya. The analytical techniqueused is validation data analysis. From the results of the study, the result of the RPP validation were 86,83% with a very valid validation level category and 81,54% LKPD validation results with a fairly valid validation level category. Based on the results of these studies, it can be concluded that the development of mathematics learning tools baseb on Problem Based Learning (PBL) in the sevent grade social arithmetic material has been tested for validity.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of flipped classroom learning with a realistic mathematics approach to promote students' mathematical literacy. This research was a quasi-experimental study using posttest only non-equivalent control group design. The population of this research was all students of 10th grade in one of public senior higher school in Kendari, Indonesia. Two classes were chosen by purposive sampling as the samples of this study that is X-MIPA 1 as the experimental class and X-MIPA 2 as the control class. The instruments used in this study were a mathematical literacy test. The results of this study show that the flipped classroom learning with a realistic mathematics approach is effective to promote the achievement of students' mathematical literacy.

Abstract

Coronavirus is a disease caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2). Coronavirus spreads so fast which is caused depression, stress, and anxiety that triggers coronasomnia. Coronasomnia is a sleep problems because of COVID-19 pandemic. This research aims to determine factors that influence potential coronasomnia for people in Semarang City. The response variables that used in this case are two or more ordinal scale categories, so the analytical method is ordinal logistic regression. Based on the results and discussion, the equation obtained is Logit g2 (X) = 1,502 – 0,902X1(1) + 0,456X5 – 0,436X8 + 0,717X9 and Logit g3 (X) = 5,169 – 0,902X1(1) + 0,456X5 – 0,436X8 + 0,717X9. It can be concluded that there are four variables that affect potential coronasomnia for people in Semarang City, i.e gender, feelings of depression, worries about the future, and anxiety.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Edmodo-based online learning in improving the understanding of class XI students of SMA Negeri 8 Kendari on derivative functions during the covid-19 period. The population in this study were all students of Class XI SMA Negeri 8 Kendari. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, namely students of class XIB. The research instrument used in this study was a student's concept understanding test. The study uses data analysis techniques, namely descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. The results showed that (1) the average ability of students to understand concepts in the derivative function material has increased. The average ability to understand concepts at the time of the pretest was in the poor category (42.38) increased in the posttest to the medium category (72.85), (2) Edmodo-based online learning was effectively used in improving students' understanding of function derivative materials during the covid-19.

Abstract

The ARIMA (Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average) method is a very appropriate method to use for the short term because the ARIMA method has very accurate accuracy. And also determine a good relationship between the variables to be forecasted with the value used for forecasting. This study uses the ARIMA method. The purpose of the study was to predict the production of Banggai Cardinalfish (Pterapogon kauderni) which is an ornamental fish commodity that is in great demand. High market demand and production predictions are able to provide the market, becoming important information so that potentials and opportunities can be exploited. The accuracy of the resulting forecast is calculated using the MSE (Mean Squared Error) and MAE (Mean Absolute Error) values. Forecasting results from Banggai Cardinalfish production using the ARIMA method were 830.33 in May 2017 with the resulting MAPE value of 176.93 and MAE of 975.23.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to test the feasibility of the ispring suite-based assessment instrument on the number pattern material. This research method uses 3 stages of the 4D model, namely define, design, development. The research subjects were students of class VIII at MTs. S Nurul Iman Pomalaa. The data analysis technique used expert validation questionnaires and student response questionnaires. The results obtained: material expert validation got a final score of 4.31 with valid criteria, media experts got a final score of 4.5 with valid criteria. The results of the student response questionnaire obtained a final score of 4.3 including a positive response. So it can be concluded that the assessment instrument for learning mathematics with the Ispring Suite-based number pattern material has been tested for its feasibility to be used as an assessment instrument.

Abstract

The industrial revolution 4.0 is a formidable challenge for the world of education, one of which is learning mathematics. Moreover, in the current Covid-19 condition, which requires that learning be carried out by e-learning, the level of students' mathematical problem solving abilities is getting lower. To overcome this problem, this study applied an IT-based learning model (geogebra). The objectives of this research are to know the improvement of students' mathematical problem solving, the improvement of students' mathematical learning activities, and the improvement of the teacher's ability to manage learning. This type of research is Classroom Research. The analytical technique used is descriptive. The results of this study seen from the results of students' mathematical problem solving tests increased by 33.33%. Student activity in learning increased by 23.43%. The ability of teachers to manage learning increased by 36%. So the results of this study show that the IT-based learning model (geogebra) can improve students' mathematical problem solving, student activities in class X Multimedia I SMK Negeri 4 Padangsidimpuan.
