Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect on improving student achievement on Business Feasibility Study course in Management Studies Program between before and after application of STAD type cooperative model. This research is an experimental research. The population in this study is all students of Semester V (five) Management Studies Program Faculty of Economics, University of Muhammadiyah North Sumatera that take Business Feasibility Study Course both the Morning and SIANG class in Odd Semester 2015/2016 academic year. While the sample is taken from the population with cluster random sampling technique, which is taking the number of students as much as 2 classes of all existing classes. Data collection techniques used are documentation. To analyze the data of this research is by using t-test formula. The result of the research shows that there is no significant difference of student achievement of class K Morning Management (control class) with the achievement of student study of Class A of Morning Management (class of experience) on Management Study Program of Economics Faculty of Muhammadiyah University of North Sumatera at 5% significant level with application of learning method Cooperative type STAD.

Abstract

This type of research is a causal research, useful for analyzing how a variable affects other variables, and also useful in experimental research in which the independent variables are treated in a controlled manner by the researchers to see the effects on the dependent variable directly. The result of simple regression analysis is Y = 4.764 + 0,198X1 + 0,096X2 + 0,425X3 + 0,268X4 + 0,602X5 + e which variable of physical evidence, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy positive and significant influence to customer satisfaction at Bengawan Solo swimming pool . The test results (t) or partial test indicate that all the independent variables of physical evidence, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction. The result of determination test (R2) is 0804 (80,4%). So it can be said that 80.4% variation of bound variable that is physical evidence, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy in the model can explain the satisfaction of visitors while the rest of 19.6% influenced by other variables outside the model.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the organizational change, organizational culture and work behavior on performance, The population of this study are all employees and leaders who work in PT Sisirau Medan that is as much as 80 respondents. The sample used in this study is a saturated sample, using the entire population as a sample of 80 people. Data were collected using observations and questionnaires. Furthermore, data analysis is tested by using multiple regression analysis, t test, F test and coefficient of determination. The result of this research is organizational change has a significant effect on employee performance, the influence of organizational change on employee performance is 95.6%. Organizational Culture has a significant effect on employee performance, the amount of influence of Organization Culture on employee performance is 71.2%. Work Behavior has a significant effect on employee performance, the effect of Work Behavior on employee performance is 31.2%. Simultaneously Organizational Change, Organizational Culture, and Work Behavior have a significant effect on Employee Performance in PT Sisirau Medan. The amount of Organizational Change, Organizational Culture, and Work Behavior in explaining performance is 79.9% while the remaining 20.1% is explained by other variables not included in this research model.

Abstract

Television is a communication network with a role as a mass communication is one-way, causing heterogeneous simultaneity and the communicant. Every day people look at a number of television commercials. There are thousands of products on the market and It would be interesting to know why certain people respond to ads or not. Advertising is a multi-billion dollar industry with one main goal: to persuade people to buy the product. Advertising is an industry that spends a large amount of time and effort to figure out the best strategy to do what they want. Television advertising has a sense part of a series of activities to promote a product that emphasizes the image elements there in through the intermediary of television media.This study aimed to determine the effect of the use of humor in television advertising on brand awareness (brand) of the product. Based on research that has been done, it is known that the humor in the ad has a positive and significant impact on the brand awareness of the product. The result of consumers' assessment of the use of humor in television advertising, including in both categories so that the brand awareness (brand awareness) by consumers is acceptable.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of job satisfaction and employee discipline on the work performance of Bank Rakyat Indonesia Branch Putri Hijau Medan. This type of research is associative. The population of this research is all employees in a marketing department of Bank Rakyat Indonesia Branch Putri Hijau Medan as many as 31 employees and all become sample. This research uses census method or saturated sample. Methods of data collection of this study are questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Methods of data analysis using descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that job satisfaction has a positive and insignificant effect on employee performance, Discipline has the positive and significant influence on performance, while simultaneously job satisfaction and work discipline together positively influence to employee performance of Bank Rakyat Indonesia Branch of Putri Hijau Medan. Employee discipline has a dominant influence on job satisfaction. The coefficient of determination (Adjusted R Square) is 0.162 means that 16.2% performance variables can be explained from job satisfaction and employee discipline while as much as 83.8% can be explained by other variables which are not examined by researchers in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent to which students can be actively involved in the classroom by using group discussion methods based on cooperative learning model learning together, and also to know the extent to which students can express opinions and give responses to the opinions of his classmates communicatively by using the method of discussion group learning cooperative learning model together. The approach used is through classroom action research (Classroom Action Research), through cooperative learning methods. Steps taken with stages: (1) plan, (2) action, (3) observation, (4) reflection. The results showed that: (1) During the learning process using the method of group discussion based on cooperative learning method of learning together student learning activity can increase because students are empowered and given trust and actively involved in learning activities. The average percentage achievement of students' learning activity continues to increase which in pre cycle stage is only 34,1%, then reaching 65,8% percentage in cycle 1 and increasing again to 92% in cycle 2. (2) Positive impact from increasing activeness learning is on student learning outcomes which also experienced an increase wherein the precycle cycle the average value of students only 61.3 and increased in the cycle 1 to 75.7 and increased again to 83.09 on cycle 2.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is influence Promotion, Price and Quality Service to Customer Satisfaction at PT. Maxim Housewares Indonesia Medan. The result of this research is there is significant influence of Promotion to Consumer Satisfaction, The amount of influence of Promotion on Consumer Satisfaction is 20,9% There is significant influence of Price to Customer Satisfaction, the amount of influence Price to Customer Satisfaction is equal to 16,2% There is significant influence Quality service to consumer satisfaction, the amount of influence Quality of service to Customer Satisfaction is equal to 63.6% Promotion, Price and Quality of service together significant effect on Consumer Satisfaction at PT. Maxim Houseware Indonesia Medan, with the capability of Promotion, Price, and Quality of service to explain customer satisfaction is equal to 82,5% while the rest equal to 17,5% explained by another variable not included in this research model.

Abstract

Career development is a process and activities to prepare an employee to occupy a position in an organization or company, which will be done in the future. The objective of this study was to determine whether there is influence career development and motivation on employee job satisfaction BPJS Employment Branch Office Belawan. Data collection techniques in this research is the study of documentation, interviews and questionnaires (questionnaire). Data analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis, the classical assumption test, hypothesis test (t test and F) and determination. The results of this study concluded that: (1) the career development have positive effect on job satisfaction which means that career development can improve employee job satisfaction; (2) motivation does not affect the job satisfaction; and (3) that the career development and motivation significantly influence job satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) how mudharabah financing in PT. BPR Syariah Amanah Insan Cita, (2) to find out why mudharabah financing decreases in 2015, (3) to know the ability of mudharabah financing in generating profit at PT. BPR Syariah Amanah Insan Cita William Iskandar Medan. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis with case study approach. The technique of collecting data is done through primary data that is data obtained directly from the data source where this research conducted at PT. BPR Syariah Amanah Insan Cita William Iskandar Medan and secondary data are data obtained from the literature and books that have to do with the problem to be studied. The analysis tool used is trend analysis. The results showed that the ability of mudharabah financing in generating profits can be said to be able to increase profits for the company although the financing decreased the profit generated increased. mudharabah financing has a significant ability to increase net income for the company.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the application of discussion and role playing methods in the performance management class, whether more effective than the lecture method previously used by most students. This is because the old method is considered less effective and does not get optimal results. Visually the students tend to be less immature in learning, less expressive and less terganli abilities inidividunya. This research is expected to provide new colors for students and teachers, so that will make students become more creative and passionate in learning so that learning achievement will become better. This research will also help to increase the self-reliance, self-confidence and competitive spirit of the students because the method is applied more interactively, involving both parties ie students and lecturers and the ability to work together in groups so far from monotonous impression. This research is a classroom action research, designed specifically in its application and adapted to the syllabus and lecture unit units agreed upon by the institution. The results of the study was as expected although not maximal, the increase in student achievement has been seen with the results of tests conducted by researchers. Student behavior is also seen there are changes, more confident, creative, better tolerance, cooperative and more independent.
