The majority of road infrastructure condition is far from excellent. The implementation of 10% minimum compulsory allocation of vehicle tax to be returned for road and transportation sector is potential to increase road maintenance fund. The research purpose is to raise regional revenue sources of Semarang City which is worth to be earmarked and to be alocated for road maintenance. This research is using secondary data of 2008-2015 period and linear regression analysis with Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method. The result of research concludes that : 1) the sources of earmarking consist of : vehicle tax (PKB), fee of vehicle title transfer (BBNKB), and fuel tax (PPBKB). 2) the allocation proportion of each earmarking source for Semarang City road maintenancefor next five years are : 25% (PKB), 15% (BBKNB), and 15% (PBBKB). 3) the allocation proportion of each earmarking source for Semarang City roadconstruction for next five years are: 50% (PKB), 45% (BBNKB), and 45% (PBBKB).Â

This study aimed to analyze the efficiency of the banks which are listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and empirically tests the bank effects on the stock returns of each bank. The sample of this study is all banks which are listed in the IDX during the period of 2009 to 2016. Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) used to measure the bank efficiency in each Decision making units (DMUs), which are obtained as the maximum ratio to know the efficiency level of stock performance by using DEA methods. From the total of 25 banks analyzed, acquired six banks which were always efficient in the period of 2009 to 2016. Moreover, to know the relation between the bank efficiency and the stock return, the regression testing is done by using fixed effect models. The result shows that the bank efficiency of Indonesian banks does not affect their stock return.

The subprime mortgage crisis in 2007-2009 which led to a global recession has highlighted the importance of regulating credit for housing market. The urgency arises not only to manage non-performing ratio, but further to manage price in the housing market which is a potent source of financial imbalance. Loan-to-value (LTV) regulation is imposed in order to dampen the housing price cycle, preventing the occurrence of bubble issue. This study tries to capture the influence of LTV implementation on housing price and assesses its effectiveness in the national scope. Error correction model is used to portray the short and long-term dynamics of housing cycle with regard to policy, macroeconomic, and financial variables. We concluded that LTV is an effective policy to dampen the price cycle in the long run, but not in the short run. In the short run, housing price is closely determined by the macroeconomic factors. Furthermore, we found that the implementation of LTV has made housing price to become more persistent, suggesting a change in the market expectation structure and the behavior of housing price cycle.

Banks are a particular type of institution within the financial system that have influence on financial stability. Their readiness will determine the governmentâs policy, notably in an economic era of integration. In the case of South East Asia, there is the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) which facilitates economic integration to strengthen allthe member countries. This study aims to measure bank efficiency (conventional and shariah) in Indonesia, and also establish the transmission scheme based on the estimated result through financial stability issues confronting the AEC. Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is used to estimate banking efficiency statically and dynamically (Malmquist Index). The result showed that technical efficiency of conventional banks is statically better than shariah banks. Meanwhile, dynamically, considering technological index, both types of banks have good results. The optimizing effort by each bank in order to increase their input utilization can be maintained through intensification of the financial program and making it more comprehensive. Subsequently, this effort hopefully can increase the number of financial participants. Eventually, increasing the number of participants will strengthen the financial stability of Indonesia.

Coastal communities are known to prone to vulnerability arising from their nature of work. As they are mostly working as fishermen, natural hazards, isolation and climate variabilities are often constraining their ability to obtain sufficient income to support their livelihood. Hence, finding sustainable alternatives source of income is a sensible way to cope with such uncertainty and vulnerability. Achieving sustainable income, nevertheless, is challenging issue since it is affected by various factors from socio-economic as well as institutional perspectives. This paper is an attempt to assess the issue of alternative livelihood by identifying key variables affecting its sustainability. A MICMAC method was used and key variables from the analysis were then identified to support sustainable alternative livelihood in the communities. Lessons learned were also drawn from this study for policy makers and fisheries authorities in the regions.   Â

This study aims to analyze the geographical economic concentration (GEC) in Aceh Province. The Decomposition AGC Index and secondary data for the period 2001-2013 are used in the analysis. The results showed that the GEC in Aceh Province tend to decline about -7.09 percents a year. But, since 2011 the growth increased about 1.27 percent a year. It showed five phases of changes of GEC. When the Aceh Province was proliferated from 13 to 23 districts, economic growth was not driving factor for economic concentration, but as a driving for de-concentration. Government spending density is significant for economic concentration driver, both in the period 2001-2007, and 2008-2013. Government spending per capita is the driven factor for economic concentration during the period 2008-2013. As well in Aceh-13 (period 2001-2013). This suggests that direct government expenditure to be important in developing the center of economic growth in Aceh Province.

This study aims to identify regulations and analyze the determinants of outsourcing implementation in the Indonesian manufacturing industry using an analyctic hierarchy process (AHP). We examines both the Indonesian Labor LawâAct No. 13/2003 and the Regulation of Minister of Manpower and Transmigration No. 19/2012 on Conditions for Outsourcing the Implementation of Work to Other Companies. The results suggest that business efficiency, human resource development plan, types of outsourcing, wage level and worker incentive, recruitment and training cost, skilled  worker and productivity, recruitment process, and government regulation are the priority factors to implement outsourcing in Indonesian manufacturing industries.

Increased economic activity accompanied with environmental pollution. The objective of the study was to analyze the effect of per capita GDP on CO2 emissions and to prove the hypothesis of the Kuznets environment curve. Method for analyzing data by using multiple linear regression with quadratic equation. The results show that GDP per capita has a positive and significant influence on CO2 emissions, as well as the square GDP per capita has a negative and significant influence on CO2 emissions, so the Kuznets Environment Curves hypothesis can be proven.

This study analyzes the effect of the exchange rate (IDR to US Dollar) on Indonesian CPO exports using Error Correction Model (ECM). The result of ECM analysis showed that exchange rate has a weak effect on Indonesian CPO export. These were due to several things; first, it takes a time to produce CPO. Second, importers are unaware of price changes. Third, policy factors, such as refusal of Indonesian CPO in USA and imposition of high import duty tariff in France. Fourth, price factor of CPO substitution goods and negative issues in the palm oil industry. Fifth, Indonesian exporters were less creative in marketing CPO products than Malaysia. ECM analysis also resulted that CPO production and CPO prices have no effect on Indonesian CPO exports, while the price of soybean oil and CPO production in the previous month has a strong influence on Indonesian CPO exports. Indonesian CPO export is inelastic.
