Abstract

This study aimed to enhance mathematical communication ability and self-efficacy on seventh-grade students through Double Loop Problem Solving learning at MTs Negeri 3 Banyumas. The subjects was 26 seventh-grade students from MTs Negeri 3 Banyumas in academic year of 2018/2019. This research was a class action research consisting of 3 cycles. The instrument was the test to measure mathematical communication ability and the questionnaire to measure self-efficacy. The results are the average score of mathematical communication ability in cycle I, cycle II, and cycle III respectively are 52,03; 74,02; dan 76,58. In addition, the average score of self-efficacy in cycle I, cycle II, and cycle III respectively are 68,59; 72,80; and 75,64.

Abstract

In learning mathematics, students often experience mistakes or omissions in solving the questions given both the questions of practice, assignments, tests, and exams. This study aims to determine the student's errors mistakes in solving mathematical problems in the composition and inverse functions in SMA Negeri 1 Maumere. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with X MIPA 4 students' research subjects, amounting to 34 people who were selected based on purposive sampling technique where this subject who gets material on compulsory mathematics, namely the material composition function and inverse function. Data collection procedures are taken through the provision of test questions and interviews whit students. Data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. This study results can be said that the student's errors in solving mathematical problems in the composition and inverse functions of high, medium, and low ability students make the same mistakes, namely errors in using data, language interpretation errors, and technical errors.

Abstract

This study starts from the emergence of problems experienced directly by the author at the time of learning as the low student understanding of algebra, it is severe to the understanding of concepts in mathematics, because the concept of algebra can solve problems related to everyday life. In an effort to provide insight to student approach method writer chose is a Class Action Research (CAR), which combines methods poblem solving tries to study and reflect on a learning model with the aim of increasing understanding of the quality (both process and product) a lesson. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to produce virtual mathematics learningmedia based on goodquality of TGT for use in learning mathematics and describe how well the mathematicslearning tools quality which was produced. The quality criteria used refers to the Nieveencriteria, which are valid, practical and effective. The material that was developed was thematerial of plane geometry. This research developed a mathematics learning tool using adevelopment model adapted from the ADDIE development model. The stages that need to bedone to obtain a valid, practical and effective multimedia learning mathematics is requirementanalysis and objective formulation, product design / development, trial, revision and finalproduct study. The experiments included expert trial / expert judgment, small group try-outand field try-out. The field try-out was done on two classes of VIII grade in SMP N 1 Sedayu.The research instrument used was validation sheet, teacher's appraisal sheet, studentassessment sheet, and Cognitive Load Theory (CLT) test. This research produces a qualifiedand viable virtual mathematics learning media. The results showed that multimedia learningmathematics which was developed is valid, practical and effective.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the conceptual understanding ability’s students of class X IIS SMA 1 Jelimpo 2018/2019 academic year in term of learning interests and gander. This type of research is a qualitative research. The subject selection used purposive sampling. The data collection used test and interview methods. The validity of the data used triangulation method. The results of this study show that male and female students who have high learning interest have the ability to understand the concept that being able to explain, to apply the relationship between concepts and procedures, and provide examples and not examples, but they are unable to develop concepts. Male students who have medium learning interest are able to explain and give examples and not examples, but are less able to apply the relationship between concepts and procedures and also unable to develop concepts. Female students who have medium learning interest are able to explain, to apply relationship between concepts and procedures, and to provide examples and not examples, but they are unable to explain and to develop concepts. Male students who have low learning interest are able to apply the relationship between concepts and procedures and to provide examples and not examples, but they are unable to explain and to develop concepts. Female students who have a low interest learning are unable to explain, unable to apply the relationship between concepts and procedures, unable to provide examples and not examples, and unable to develop concepts that have been learned.

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas proses dan hasil belajar Statistika Dasar mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Matematika FKIP Unismuh Makassar melalui penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Snowball Throwing. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa IC sebanyak 32 orang terdiri dari 3 laki-laki dan 29 perempuan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 2 siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri atas 8 tahap, tahap (1) guru/dosen menyampaikan materi yang akan disajikan, (2) guru/dosen membentuk kelompok–kelompok dan memanggil masing–masing ketua kelompok untuk memberikan penjelasan tentang materi, (3) masing-masing ketua kelompok kembali ke kelompoknya kemudian menjelaskan materi yang disampaikan oleh guru/dosen kepada teman-temannya, (4) kemudian masing-masing peserta didik diberikan satu lembar kertas kerja untuk menuliskan satu pertanyaan apa saja yang menyangkut materi yang sudah dijelaskan oleh ketua kelompok, (5) kemudian kertas tersebut dibuat seperti bola dan dilempar dari satu peserta didik kepeserta didik yang lain selama lebih dari 15 menit, (6) setelah peserta didik dapat satu bola diberikan kesempatan kepada siswa untuk menjawab pertanyaan yang tertulis dalam kertas berbentuk bola tersebut secara bergantian, (7) evaluasi untuk materi yang telah dibahas, dan (8) penutup. Hasil tes menunjukkan dari 32 mahasiswa, pada siklus I hanya 11 Mahasiswa (34,37%) yang mencapai skor standar ketuntasan yakni 75. Pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan menjadi 28 mahasiswa (87,50%). Berdasarkan observasi mahasiswa merasa tertarik dengan aktif dan bersunggu-sunggu dalam mengikuti perkuliahan, selain itu kerjasama dan saling menghargai antara mahasiswa juga nampak terjadi. Dari hasil wawancara dengan mahasiswa yang diajar merasa senang dengan model yang digunakan tersebut. KATA KUNCI: Hasil belajar, model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe snowball throwing

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to know the effect of Blended Learning on the ability of Mathematical Representattion and Self efficacy. Populations of this study were all students of class VIII in one of SMP in Purwokerto at 2018. It was experimental study post test only disgn. The sampel were students of class VIII G as the experimental class and class VIII D as the control class. The average of post test result of the students’ mathematical representation ability reach 70,30 for the experimental class and 62,08 for the control class. After a hypothesis testing by using Man Whitney test was obtained significance value of 0,036. Due to the significance value was smaller, so H0 was rejected. It can be concluded that the mathematical representation of students using blended learning was higher than students using direct learning or the blended learning has an effect on mathematical representation.The average of questionnaireof result of the students’ efficacy ability reach 77,05 for the experimental class and 74,91 for the control class. After a hypothesis testing by using Man Whitney test was obtained significance value of 0,254. Due to the significance value was bigger, so H0 was accepted. It can be concluded that there was no difference between the students’ self efficacy by blended learning and direct learning or the blended learning has no effect on student’ efficacy.

Abstract

The aim of the study are, to analyze the effectiveness of IG Linear Algebra Learning in which is indicated by a. completion mathematic reasoning; b. a positive effect of activities to the mathematic reasoning; and c. the mathematic reasoning skill of experiment class is better than expository class. The results are Investigation Group based learning is effective as shown in point a. The mathematic reasoning skill is completed classically in which it reaches 71.69 upper than 65 normal point and reaches upper than 75 % individual; b. Motivation and activities of the students provide positive influence the mathematic reasoning for 91.7 % contribution altogether; c. Mathematic reasoning of experimental class is 71.96 better than the average score of 64.42 expository class. Keywords: Investigation Group, mathematical reasoning

Abstract

This research aimed to improve students’ creative thinking skill on the topic of tabular side ofgeometric shape by IDEAL Problem Solving Learning. The subject of this research was thestudents of class VIIIF in MTs Ma’arif NU 1 Wangon totaled to 40 Students. This researchwas a class action research that had been done in 3 cycles where each cycle consisted ofplanning, action, observation, evaluation, and reflection. The data of students’ creativethinking skill in this showed that there were improvements in each cycle. The average ofsmooth thinking indicator in cycle I was 2,78, in cycle II 3,2, and in cycle II 2,38, and 2,53 incycle III. The average of flexible thinking indicator in cycle I was 2,5, in cycle II 2,38, and2,53 in cycle III. The average of original thinking indicator in cycle I was 2,5, in cycle II 2,53,and 2,98 in cycle III. The average of elaborating skill indicator in cycle I was 2,35, in cycle II2,7, and 3,28 in cycle III. It could be concluded that IDEAL Problem Solving was able toimprove students’creative thinking skill on mathematic subject in class VIIIF MTs Ma’arifNU 1 Wangon.KEY WORDS: creative thinking skill, IDEAL Problem Solving

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out which gives better mathematics learning achievement in the TPS type cooperative learning model with a scientific approach, students with high, medium, or low levels of social interaction on the subject matter of function. This research is a quasi-experimental study. The population is all eighth grade students of state junior high schools in Ngawi Regency 2016/2017 school year. The sampling technique uses stratified cluster random sampling, so that students are obtained at SMP Ngrambe 3, SMP Negeri 2 Paron, and SMP Negeri 2 Widodaren as a research sample of 90 students. Data collection instruments used achievement tests and student social interaction questionnaires. Hypothesis testing using analysis of variance (anava) one cell path is not the same. The conclusion of this study is the type of TPS cooperative learning model with a scientific approach to students with high levels of social interaction provides better mathematics learning achievement compared to students with moderate and low levels of social interaction, and mathematics learning achievement of students with moderate levels of social interaction as well compared to students with levels of interaction socially low in providing mathematics learning achievement on the subject matter of function.
