Abstract

The purpose of this article is to express the community about the existence of a indigenous religion whose existence nearly extinct. Indigenous religion is in known in the name of ADS (Religion Djawa Sunda). In expressing existence ADS and the use writers’ research methodology kulaitatif by using data analysis is inductive. Location for research in doing in Cigugur Village, district Kuningan. The result showed that Religion Djawa Sunda (ADS) is a religion local trying to combine between the sunda wiwitan and Islamic teachings.

Abstract

Basically as religious beings, human want to live for peace. One result of observations on religious studies shows that Islam as a religion uphold peace and harmony in high esteem. Islam offers the concept of tolerance in diversity, that is  tasamuh (tolerance), because it teaches Mouslems the tenets of rahmat (love), hikmat (wisdom), maslahat ammat (universal benefit) and adl (Justice). The concept of tolerance in this context is viewed from many aspects—theology, sociology and cultural studies. Human beings should accept the facts of diversity including that of religions with tolerance that is called religious pluralism. In fact, religious dialogue as a part of tolerance attitude could create harmony in community. For example, both Moslems and non Moslems as citizens of Madinah were protected from their enemy by Muhammad Saw as God’s Messenger, so a Madinah Charter was created.

Abstract

Ngaruwat Bumi tradition in the village of Cihideung Girang began during the spreading of Islam in West Java, especially in Subang, and the existence of the tradition is merely a proof of respect for society against ancestors. The Cihideung community's view of the Ngaruwat Earth tradition is a form of expression of socio-religious reflection by communicating with the village's ancestors. While the purpose of Ngaruwat Earth tradition 60% of people believe in the ancestors who have been keeping the village of Cihideung Girang from distress. . The implementation of the Ngaruwat tradition is determined by those who have authority in the area and the implementation is done collectively, and carried out in the month of Maulid Nabi or Isra Mi'raj. The meaning of Ngaruwat Bumi trader for Cihideung Girang community is aimed for the happiness and happiness of the afterlife with the citizens of Cihideung Girang, because Ngaruwat tradition must be done with the aim to "dive" or "menyedekahi" the rice fields owned for abundant agriculture. Then the earth that they occupy and planted should be observed so that no interference.

Abstract

This study describes the difference in perspective about the One God in three religions, namely, Yaudi, Christianity, Islam. Based on the history of the three religions in addition to having a difference they have a similar though all three are related to each other. The equation is the same concept that is based on monotheism Unitarian deity This doctrine expresses the belief in one God.         However, based on the understanding is different because more Jews speak rules of survival, al is illustrated in ten rules God (ten Comandemen) while Christian was first talked about the role of God, it is envisaged that God can be as Creator (God) acts as a savior, too as human beings, have the same activities as men in general. while Islam speaks about-ness of it reflected in the Muslim holy book ie the Qur'an in Qs. Al-Ikhlas monotheism which is the heart of Islam.

Abstract

The Religions it basically teach about human values, the science that teaches the values of humanity, namely pluralism, the pluralism is basically a continuation of the moral attitude of tolerance and coexistence. If the tolerance is modest habit of respecting differences on the surface, while coexistence is to accept the existence of other parties, but not curb conflicts. While pluralism is the spirit of mutual protection and equal endorse  and develop a sense of brotherhood among people both as individuals and groups. so that there is cooperation in order to build universal human values, and provide the same opportunity to others, especially his civil rights on behalf of the citizens of the nation, as well as citizens of the world. There is also indicated its universality. Islam as a religion that upholds present high values of pluralism, according  the Islamic   of spririt liberation became an essential part of Islam by giving priority to do good basis for peaceful coexistence and justice or competing in goodness, (fastabiq-û‘l-khayr-ât). in al -Quran (109: 1-6). And to the attitude of pluralism, the need for dialogue, it is meant to discuss in addition to the equation, also the difference in order to find common ground with each other. The dialogue process in a manner that makes sense and still uphold the dignity and honor of each as a form of recognition of pluralism (diversity).  According Glock and Stark that are not easy to measure the religiosity of a person or community (Ummah) on any religion, because it is also necessary to pay attention to -things such as: membership, belief in religious doctrine, ethics and morality, views and ways of life.

Abstract

The new era of Islam is characterized by the interdependence of the modern world that is inaccessible to the presence and primordiality of the full tradition. Abstract

This journal explores the role of women when incorporated in Indonesian Islamic women's organization called NU's. This organization contributes a lot to the development of women in Indonesia, particularly concerning social welfare society internally as well as externally. Such as overcoming problems of underage marriage is a national issue that must be resolved. Through the participation of leaders of the Moslem according to its level in the Advisory Board of Marriage and Divorce Settlement. The implications are shown which gives the changes in the educational aspects that depict women in Indonesia in order to compete, health, religious, also active in government agencies such as participating formulate laws as the aspirations of the people's voice (DPR) also at the same time women's organizations this was also able to open communist group in Indonesia.

Abstract

White tiger culture is a culture that is often done most of society that were previously generated from a form of culture, and one of the seven elements of culture that exist in Sundanese. The known culture on today's society in the area of art and culture is Palered Paleredan. Cultural arts paleredan called with martial arts/pencaksilat community perpetrated by plered either from start of school age at the junior level, HIGH SCHOOL level to the youth and the elderly.Culture of white Tigers have a historically derived from the Sundanese order resulting from copyright, taste, karsa initiated from the seven elements of culture that is art and culture in sunda. White Tiger from college Bantam carried by people travelling to Bandung, and then Plered Purwakarta. As for the spiritual values which are often dipraktikan is of some elements and aspects of animism, dynamism and monotaisme can even be described as a syncretism between the culture with Islamic religious. This can be inferred between the practice of the White Tiger sambat by having an item lapadz Asma'ul Husna, with the belief that it is already at benchmark to a belief which is exactly on the Esaan God and on one side of the movement is performed at the time of the movement under way should provide offerings in the form; raw meat, raw egg, black coffee and cigarette gudang garam merah, to bring forth the will in appropriate hodam sambat by the offender, it is for the sake of presenting supernatural beings into the body.

Abstract

Advent is a denomination in Christianity. Historically, denomination was a sect of Protestant Christianity Church when Christianity had no power to control Advent. Increasingly Advent separated its self from, and did not want to come back to, Christianity. The development of Advent movement spread all over the world. To spread their religious teaching, Adventists organized the forceful zending in Indonesia that was centered in Jakarta for western region and in Manado for eastern, with the name Gereja Masehi Advent Hari Ketujuh di Indonesia (The Seventh-day Advent Christianity Church in Indonesia). The aim of exploring this Advent Church is to reconstruct the growth and development of the advent movement. Here is used a method of history research which includes four stages of history method; heuristic, critic, interpretation and historiography.
