Abstract

Talking about addiction rehabilitation, addiction counselor became one of the most important roles. Addiction counselors work full time and have big responsibility. The burden and responsibility they got, might lead them to experience a fatigue which is called compassion fatigue. It is exactly dangerous to the performance, personal life, and psychological well-being of the counselors. This research used qualitative research method with thematic analysis approach that aimed to get the description of compassion fatigue of the addiction counselors. The participants of this research were 4 addiction counselors in Jambi. The data collection technique used in this research was in-depth interview. In thematic analysis, the process of coding could produce theme lists and then those themes can be identified at the manifest level. The results showed that there were three components described in compassion fatigue of addiction counselor: symptom, risk factors, and protective factors. The addiction counselor showed some compassion fatigue in order of cognitive, emotional, and behavior domain. Being apathy, as in cognitive domain, was the strongest symptom among the others. Addictive counselor were at risk to suffer from compassion fatigue due to their experience worked as counselor, their experience as an addict—since mostly addictive counselor was an addict once—work stress, maladaptive coping strategies, unhealthy relationship, and their personal problem. Despite of the risks they face, the addictive counselors could still manage them and perform well with regard to the protective factors: adaptive coping strategies, self-development activity, work-environment, support system, and optimism.

Abstract

The conflict between Tanjung Pauh Mudik and Kumun villages is an issue which continuously acquires a lot of attention of many groups as it causes a lot disadvantage, either death, traumatic experiences, losing homes or properties. After the conflict, the villagers tried to rebuild their life and their village. Rebuilding something destroyed after the traumatic event need positive emotion as a foundation. This research intends to examine more deeply on how these two villagers’ emotions are, especially in an attempt to create harmonization on both villages and their people. Next, to explore the positive consequence of those emotions which impact positively on the villagers in creating peace among them. This research uses the Indigenous psychology approach, with qualitative method through surveys and interviews on the villagers from both villages. The number of the participants ini this research were 86 participants living in Kumun and Tanjung Pauh village. The result of this research shows that the emerged emotions which arise when the villagers would like to create a harmonious relationship are empathy, love of peace, solidarity, the feeling of prosperous and conducive and there is still a feeling of scared. The factors influenced these emotions are the affiliation need, religions, cultures, losing experiences during the conflict, as well as socio-economy. From those results, the researchers concluded that the villagers’ emotions are conditional meaning that when the escalation of the conflict exists people should be able to realize the necessity of love and peace feeling

Abstract

Physical distancing and stay-at-home instructions to break the chain of the spread of Covid-19 have led various organizations to change their work policy from work from the office to work from home. The specific objective of this study is to examine the link between the readiness of work-home resources in carrying out work from home, work motivation, and work-family conflict. The questionnaire is distributed to lecturers of public higher education institutes in Indonesia through online media by quantitative methods. Data from 131 respondents were then processed using SEM-SmartPLS. The results showed that work-home resource readiness negatively affected work-family conflict and significantly positively affected work motivation. Work motivation has no significant positive impact on work-family conflict. Thus, work motivation cannot mediate the relationship between work-home resource readiness and work-family conflict. Further research regarding work-home resources readiness in another job field would give a different perspective as lecturers have more independent working time than other employees.

Abstract

Pada masa kanak-kanak awal atau prasekolah, pertumbuhan anak menjadi sedikit melamban. Dua faktor penting yang mempengaruhi perbedaaan tinggi tubuh, yakni asal-usul etnis dan nutrisi. Nutrisi dan gizi yang tidak sesuai dengan yang dibutuhkan anak berdampak pada kesehatan anak, yang dampaknya dapat berbahaya jika tidak sesuai kebutuhan. WHO memperkirakan bahwa 54 persen kematian anak-anak disebabkan oleh kekurangan gizi, terutama yang berkaitan dengan konsumsi protein dan energi. Perilaku sulit makan pada anak memiliki dampak yang buruk bagi pertumbuhan anak. Hal ini menjadi menjadi masalah bagi orang tua karena mereka kerap bingung untuk mengatasi perilaku makan pada anak. Psikoedukasi ini ditujukan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan orang tua dalam mengembangkan pola perilaku makan sehat pada anak sejak usia dini. Psikoedukasi ini diberikan kepada orang tua dan anak pada kelompok kegiatan yang berbeda. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatnya kesadaran orang tua mengenai pentingnya mengembangkan pola makan sehat sejak dini untuk menjaga pertumbuhan anak.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Elderly is someone who has entered the age of 60 years and over. Elderly is an age group in humans who have entered the final stage of their life phase. In the elderly, individuals experience a lot of problems, generally the elderly feel anxiety, loneliness, reduced emotional stability, and also experience dysfunction in their organs. This is because the elderly have physical limitations and have had traumatic experiences such as losing their family, children, spouse, and so on. Elderly community groups deserve the attention of all elements of government and the surrounding environment, but in reality elderly community groups are often ignored, and forgotten. Psychosocial support is needed to maintain emotional stability in the elderly and prepare for death. The provision of physical training in the form of elderly exercise and psychoeducation is given to encourage the elderly to remain happy and empowered even though they are no longer at their productive age. Keywords: Gerontic Psychology, Elderly, Psychoeducation ABSTRAK Lansia merupakan seseorang yang telah memasuki usia 60 tahun keatas. Lansia merupakan kelompok umur pada manusia yang telah memasuki tahapan akhir dari fase kehidupannya.Pada masa lansia individu mengalami banyak sekali permasalahan, umumnya lansia merasakan kecemasan, kesepian, berkurangnya stabilitas emosi, dan juga mengalami disfungsi terhadap organ tubuhnya. Hal-hal tersebut disebabkan karena lansia mempunyai keterbatasan fisik, serta mempunyai pengalaman yang traumatis seperti kehilangan keluarga, anak, pasangan, dan seterusnya. Kelompok masyarakat lanjut usia sudah sepatutnya menjadi perhatian oleh seluruh elemen pemerintahan maupun lingkungan sekitar, akan tetapi pada realitanya kelompok masyarakat lanjut usia sering kali ditepikan, dan dilupakan. Dukungan psikososial sangat diperlukan demi menjaga stabilitas emosi lansia, dan bersiap untuk menghadapi kematian. Pemberian latihan fisik berupa senam lansia dan psikoedukasi ini diberikan guna mengajak lansia untuk tetap bahagia, dan berdaya sekalipun tidak lagi berada pada usia produktif. Abstract

ABSTRACT Background: The implementation of the SKADO (Srabut Kelapa Dorong) game is one of the efforts to improve the character of traffic discipline in children. Objective: To provide knowledge about traffic signs and traffic rules. Methods: The Activity community service uses the lecture method, visual media, and the application of skado games. This service is carried out for 6 months. Results: the Skado game has been implemented with the application of providing information regarding traffic signs and traffic order Conclusions: This community service has been going well. Children can follow the facilitator's instructions well and are able to play with the applicable rules Keywords: Child, Game, Skado ABSTRAK Latar belakang: Penerapan permainan SKADO (Srabut Kelapa Dorong) merupakan salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan karakter disiplin berlalu lintas pada anak. Tujuan: Untuk memberikan pengetahuan mengenai rambu-rambu lalu lintas serta tertib berlalu lintas. Metode: Kegiatan pengabdian menggunakan metode ceramah, media peraga, serta penerapan permainan skado. Pelaksanaan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan selama 6 bulan. Hasil: telah dilaksanakanya permainan skado dengan penerapan pemberian informasi mengenai rambu-rambu lalu lintas serta tertib lalu lintas. Kesimpulan: Pengabdian ini telah berlangsung dengan baik. Abstract

ABSTRACT Students of Islamic boarding school (Pesantren) are teenagers in the transition phase from childhood into adulthood, who are vulnerable to conflict and psychological problems. For instance, negative influence from peers, sexual turmoil, juvenile delinquency, school or peer bullying might cause anxiety and social interaction difficult for teenagers. Therefore, it is important that peer counselor training be conducted at Pondok Pesantren Al-Jauharen and Al-As'ad Islamic boarding schools in Jambi Seberang, Jambi City. The implementation method is carried out in several steps, including determining the target area, surveying the target area, collecting data on participants, implementing activities, and evaluating activities. Peer counselor training activities with several sessions. First, brainstorming behaviors that need help. Second, games to increase the enthusiasm of participants. Third, lecturing about peer counseling, techniques in conducting peer counselors, as well as students' understanding in identifying which problems can be handled by students themselves, and which problems must involve professionals. Peer counselor training activities run effectively as planned, participants are very enthusiastic to follow each activity plan, and they are able to understand and apply peer counseling. Key word: Islamic boarding school, peer counselor, training ABSTRAK Para santri merupakan mereka yang menginjak fase remaja, dimana fase ini merupakan fase transisi dari anak-anak ke dewasa. Pada fase ini rentan terjadi permasalahan psikologis, diantaranya remaja mudah terbawa pengaruh negatif, gejolak seksual, kenakalan remaja, tindakan bullyng dari teman-teman mereka dalam satu lingkungan sekolah, yang membuat mereka sulit interaksi sosial dan cemas. Oleh karena itu, pentingnya pelatihan peer counselor yang akan dilakukan di Pondok Pasantren Pondok Pasantren Al-Jauharen dan Al- As’ad yang ada di Jambi Seberang Kota Jambi. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan dengan beberapa tahapan, diantaranya penetapan tempat sasaran, survei daerah sasaran, pendataan peserta, pelaksanaan kegiatan, dan evaluasi kegiatan. Kegiatan pelatihan peer counselor dengan beberapa sesi diantaranya; Pertama, Brainstorming Perilaku yang Membutuhkan Bantuan. Kedua, permainan untuk meningkatkan antusiasme peserta, Ketiga, Pemberi materi tentang Peer counseling, teknik dalam melakukan peer counselor, serta pemahaman santri terhadap identifikasi permasalah yang harus ditangani oleh santri sendiri, serta mana masalah yang harus melibatkan tenaga professional. Kegiatan pelatihan peer counselor berjalan efektif sesuai dengan yang direncakan, peserta sangat antusias untuk mengikuti setiap rencana kegiatan, dan mereka mampu memahami dan menerapkan konseling teman sebaya (peer counselor). Abstract

Introduction One of the tasks of children development that a kindergarten child must undergo is to learn to recognize the physical environment based on color, shape, and size. The inconsistency of autistic children in mentioning primary colors such as red, blue, and yellow is certainly very influential to identify objects around them.Method This study used a quantitative research method with a quasi-experimental research approach. Sampling used purposive sampling technique. The number of research subjects were 3 subjects. This study used the checklist observation form. Hypothesis testing used descriptive techniques and Paired Sample T-test.Results This study showed an increasing mean value after playing playdough, pretest was 356.67 and at the posttest was 430.33. Based on the results of T-test it was known that the p value obtained is 0.008 <0.05, so it can be concluded that there was significant increasing primary color identification skills in autistic children at Inclusion Kindergarten Harapan Mulia Jambi City after being given treatment. Conclusions and Recomendations Playdough games can significantly improve primary color identification skills in autistic children. Autistic children have shown interest when they are given playdough games, and that has made them more focused when given instructions. Keywords: playdough, color identification, autistic children ABSTRAK Pendahuluan Salah satu tugas perkembangan masa kanak-kanak yang harus dijalani anak taman kanak-kanak ialah belajar mengenal lingkungan fisik berdasarkan warna, bentuk, dan ukuran. Ketidakkonsistenan anak autis dalam menyebutkan warna-warna primer seperti merah, biru, dan kuning tentunya sangat berpengaruh untuk mengidentifikasi benda-benda di sekitarnya. Metode Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan penelitian Kuasi-Eksperimen. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Jumlah subjek penelitian sebanyak 3 subjek. Penelitian ini menggunakan form observasi checklist. Uji hipotesis menggunakan teknik deskriptif dan Paired Sample T-test. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukan terdapat peningkatan nilai rata-rata (mean) pretest sebesar 356.67 dan pada posttest sebesar 430.33. Berdasarkan hasil T-test diketahui p value yang didapat sebesar 0.008<0.05, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya peningkatan yang signifikan pada kemampuan identifikasi warna pada anak autis di TK Khusus Harapan Mulia setelah diberikan perlakuan. Kesimpulan Dan Saran Permainan playdough secara signifikan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan identifikasi warna primer pada anak autis. Anak autis menunjukan ketertarikan ketika mereka diberikan permainan playdough, dan hal itu membuat mereka lebih fokus pada saat diberikan intruksi. Abstract

Background The purpose of this study is to get an empirical picture of the effectiveness of peer counselor training programs to increase peer counselor skills when providing peer counseling also to get an empirical picture of the effectiveness of the peer counseling implementation guide module to help students solve their problems.Method The number of participants in this study consisted of 21 students from several faculties at Jambi University, selected through interview. Program evaluation research design is part of field research conducted on the natural setting of the subject, in the sense that it is not an experiment placed in a laboratory. The data was collected by observing their micro skills in counseling role play, before and after the training. The statistical test that used is the Wilcoxon statistical test. The Wilcoxon test is a non-parametric statistical test to see the significant differences from two correlated samples.Result Statistical tests showed that there were four participants’ micro skills significantly different after the training with a significance value of p < 0.005. Micro skills paraphrasing and giving open questions significantly increase, while the behavior of giving forced questions and directly giving solutions that should not be showed by the peer counselor decreased significantly. This significant change in skill is indeed the main focus of the research. Some other micro skills have not significantly changed after the training: attending, clarifying, perception checking, closed question, suggesting a solution, giving information, conclusions given by the counselee and conclusions given by the counselor.Conclusions and Recommendation There were four counselor skills that differed significantly after the training, while eight other skills had not changed. For further research, experiment to more participants is needed. Improvements to the observation assessment method should be more effective and able to measure the variables appropriately. An evaluation at a higher stage is needed to see how the training impacts the counselee's satisfaction. Keywords: peer counselor, micro skill, wilcoxon test, observation ABSTRAK Latar Belakang Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendapatkan gambaran empiris mengenai efektifitas program pelatihan peer counselor dalam meningkatkan keterampilan peer counselor ketika memberikan konseling sebaya dan memberikan gambaran empiris efektifitas modul panduan pelaksanaan konseling sebaya membantu mahasiswa menyelesaikan permasalahannya. Metode Partisipan penelitian ini berjumlah 21 mahasiswa dari beberapa fakultas di Universitas Jambi. Partisipan di ambil melalui penyebaran kuesioner yang kemudian di seleksi melalui in-depth interview. Desain penelitian evaluasi program merupakan bagian dari penelitian lapangan yang dilakukan pada seting natural subjeknya, dalam artian bukan merupakan eksperimen yang ditempatkan pada sebuah laboratorium. Teknik pengumpulan data yang akan digunakan adalah observasi untuk menghitung frekuensi micro skill yang ditampilkan oleh peserta. Uji statistik yang digunakan adalah Uji statistik Wilcoxon. Uji Wilcoxon merupakan uji statistik non parametrik untuk melihat perbedaan signifikan dari dua sampel yang berkorelasi. Hasil Uji statistik menunjukkan terdapat empat micro skill yang dimiliki peserta berbeda secara signifikan setelah mengikuti pelatihan dengan nilai signifikansi p < 0.005. Micro skill paraphrasing dan memberikan pertanyaan terbuka meningkat secara signifikan, sedangkan perilaku memberikan forced questions dan memberikan solusi yang seharusnya tidak ditampilkan oleh konselor menurun secara siginifikan. Keterampilan yang mengalami perubahan secara siginifikan ini memang menjadi fokus utama dalam penelitian. Beberapa keterampilan lainnya belum mengalami perubahan signifikan setelah peserta mengikuti pelatihan: Attending, Clarifying, Perception checking, Closed Question, Menawarkan Usulan, Memberikan Informasi, Kesimpulan yang diberikan dari Konselee dan Kesimpulan dari konselor. Kesimpulan dan Saran Terdapat empat keterampilan konselor yang berbeda secara signifikan setelah mengikuti pelatihan, sedangkan delapan keterampilan lainnya belum ada perubahan. Saran untuk penelitian ini adalah untuk menambah lebih banyak lagi dan variasi subjek. Sebaiknya dilakukan perbaikan pada metode penilaian observasi agar lebih efektif lagi dan dapat mengukur variabelnya dengan tepat. Evalusi pada tahapan yang lebih tinggi diperlukan untuk melihat bagaimana dampak pelatihan terhadap kepuasan konseli. Kata Kunci: peer counselor, micro skill, wilcoxon test, observation
