Abstract

Until now farmers still use synthetic chemical pesticides in eradicating pests and diseases. On the one hand, the use of synthetic chemical pesticides is beneficial because of the poison power or the ability to kill pests and diseases that are high and fast, but the excessive use of toxic pesticides, in addition to the increasingly resistant pests and diseases to pesticide poisons, can also pollute the environment. In addition, pesticide poisons tend to increase in price, so that economically it does not increase production value. Community service is carried out in the form of agricultural counseling, carried out in Mekar Sari Village, Gunung Sari District, aiming that farmers have better knowledge and are willing to implement integrated pest and disease control (IPM) methods on rice plants. This counseling material was delivered with lecture techniques, then followed by question and answer sessions. The agricultural extension activities in Mekar Sari Village, Gunung Sari Subdistrict went smoothly and most of the extension participants were able to increase their knowledge to be better, so that they were expected to increase their understanding and be able to apply the technology

Abstract

Adoption of new technologies such as the use of chili seeds from superior varieties Juwita, needs to consider the social and economic aspects. Socially, the technology can be implemented by the farmers, and economically the farming should be able to provide proper benefits for the farmers and their families. The purpose of this research is to analyze the scale of chili farming of superior Juwita varieties in Pringgerata sub-district, Lombok Tengah regency, by setting 60 respondents in non proportional random sampling and data analysis using Cobb-Douglas function analysis, followed by F and T test. The results show that: 1). Chili farming of Juwita varieties is on an increasing production scale (increasing Return To Scala). This bi =å proves the elasticity of production is greater than one ie ( 4,426)> 1, which means that if the use of input is added then the proportion of additional production will be greater than the proportion of the input addition, 2). Simultaneously that the factors of production (land area, seed, fertilizer, pesticide, and labor) have a significant effect on production level. This can be seen from the results of model testing using Cobb-Douglas production function obtained F hit (31,921)> F tab (Z 1,645 = 0.95), and the value of determination coefficient (R2) of 0.864 which means that the magnitude of the influence of independent variables against dependent variable of 86.4%, while the remaining 13.6% is influenced by other factors outside the model, 3). Partially, the factor of production of land, seed, fertilizer and labor have a significant effect on production level (t hit> t table), while pesticide has an effect on production level but not significant (t hit <t table)

Abstract

The results showed that 1). Partially consumer needs (X1) and friend references (X3) affect the decision to buy Telkomsel pulses. This is indicated from T test (x1) = 2,341> t table α 0.05/2 (1,987), and T test (x3) = 2,508> t table α 0.05 / 2 (1,987), while the family influence variable ( X2), consumer social interaction (X4) and type of brand (X5) influence the credit purchase decision, but not significantly, 2). Simultaneously the needs of consumers (X1), the influence of family (X2), reference friends (X3), consumer social interaction (X4) and type of brand (X5) influence on credit purchase decisions. This is shown from the F test (50,130)> F table (1.85), with the coefficient of determination (R2) = 0.935, which means that the magnitude of the influence of independent variables on the dependent variable is 93.50% and 6.50% is influenced by factors outside the model, 3). Friend's Reference Factor is the dominant factor in the decision to buy Telkomsel pulses among UNMAS Denpasar PSDKU Mataram students

Abstract

Lowland rice farming with jajar legowo’s planting system causes an increase in production which is originally 6 tons / hectare to 8.8 tons / hectare, but until now not all farmers have adopted the technology. This research is conducted in West Lombok Regency with survey techniques, with descriptive data analysis. The results show that: the participation of farmers in the extension activities of paddy farming with jowo legowo’s planting system is quite high in number with level of participation is 161.25 Some of the obstacles faced by farmers in extension activities are as follows: collide with other activities, there is boredom in participating in counseling because they think it wastes time, the delivery of material is not in accordance with the planting patterns planned by farmers and the benefits are still lacking. There are still many farmers who do not adopt the technology, with the reason that: planting with a row planting system requires more time, requires more seeds, requires more fertilizer and more work conditions, ultimately impacting the costs incurred by the farmers. To increase farmers' participation in extension activities, more intensive training is needed by field extension workers (PPL), so that they can change the behavior of farmers and want to adopt the technology

Abstract

As the complexity of life and the burden of the economic burden of the family increases, the duties and roles of women fishermen become increasingly important. Women not only act as housewives but also perform productive activities to increase family income. Limitations faced by fishermen women in the coastal district of West Lombok is the low mental attitude of entrepreneurship, so that their condition is at the level of poverty. This research is a descriptive research, conducted in West Lombok regency with porposive sampling and the number of respondents as much as 75 people determined by non proportional random sampling. Data collection techniques using interview techniques, observation and documentation. The collected data were analyzed descriptively. From the research results can be concluded that: 1). fishermen ladies in the coastal area of West Lombok regency have a moderate attitude of entrepreneurship, this is due to the fact that most of the women are low education fishermen, also fishermen women are very dependent on nature and high risk in facing nature, 2). The activities of women fishermen are still spatial, so there is a need for a joint business group (KUB), and maximizing the government's role, especially the government in facilitating and arranging for the implementation of development or community empowerment to run smoothly, 3). Empowerment should be done through participatory and compressive approaches on economic, sociological, sociocultural and institutional aspects.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of farmer groups on maize productivity in Gerung District, West Lombok Regency. This research is descriptive research which was conducted in Mesanggok Village, Gapuk and Suka Makmur Village, Gerung District, West Lombok Regency, using a proportional sampling based on the widest corn crop area, using a sample of 78 farmers, determined by proportional random sampling. The data uses a score based on the Likert scale, then analyzed using Chi- Square (X2) analysis. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that statistically the participation of farmers in farmer group members has a role in corn productivity, but is not significant. This is indicated by the results of X2 Count (1.94) < X2 table (9.49), the participation of farmers in farmer group members does not play a significant role in productivity due to internal factors, namely the ownership of farming capital which is still lacking, so that the purchase of production facilities such as fertilizers which is lacking and has an impact on corn production that is not optimal and also due to external factors such as uncertain natural factors, such as rain falling on the flowering process as a result many corn plant flowers fall out.
