Abstract

The agricultural sector still contributes predominantly in economic activities in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) province, although from year to year, there is a tendency to decrease its contribution to Gross Regional Domestic Product, but in absolute value its production keep increasing. Economic growth of NTB Province also tends to increase from year to year above the national economic growth rate, has implications for the success in reducing the percentage of poor people in NTB. This study is a literature review of the variables of the decreasing role of agriculture sector and the rate of economic growth, to the reduction of poverty level in the province of NTB period 2011 to 2017. Data collection method is the method of documentation of secondary data, with descriptive discussion and simple statistical analysis of linear regression multiple and coefficient of determination. The results of the study found that the shift in the contribution of the agricultural sector to non-agricultural sectors positively affected the decline in poverty, and on the other hand economic growth negatively affected or opposed to the decline of poverty, which means that the higher the economic growth, the more poverty will decline. From the results of this study, it is suggested that the agricultural sector will continue to be developed by intensifying the intensification program, and non-agricultural sectors still have the potential to be developed optimally. The increase in the contribution of sectors outside agriculture, especially those contributing below 5% should be increased, can still be optimized. The mining sector is a fluctuating business field, given that the mining and quarrying sectors are ultimately processed overseas so as to contribute to the economic performance of NTB Province, so that sectors outside mining and quarrying should be prioritized for development in the future

Abstract

Tilapia is a freshwater fish, not only how to maintain it more easily than other freshwater fish, but also more resistant to disease and has a high tolerance for water salinity levels, so it can also be cultivated in ponds with brackish water. In addition, tilapia is widely chosen by the community to be cultivated because of its ease of marketing, and favored by many people. This study is a case study research, with the aim to determine the feasibility of the investment plan in tilapia aquaculture in cages in Sigerongan Village, Lingsar District, West Lombok Regency. The research was conducted at UD. MAHNEP, using investment criteria methods namely Revenue Cost Ratio (R / C) and Break Event Point (BEP). The results show that the value of the Revenue Cost Ratio (R / C) is 1.5 which means that the amount of revenue that will be obtained from the tilapia enlargement business is 1.5 times the amount of operational costs incurred. The value of Break Event Point (BEP) is 1,947.8 kg, which means that the tilapia enlargement business breaks even when the production in one production process is 1,947.8 kg.From the results of the study it is suggested, if the cultivator wants the amount of revenue higher than 1.5 times the production cost, the number of seeds should be increased, while the number and size of the pond should not be increased

The analysis technique uses income distribution analysis with three approaches, namely Gini Coefficient approach, Lorenz Curve and World Bank Criteria Approach. The results of the Gini Ratio calculation for the 35 respondents studied, obtained a Gini Index or Gini Coefficient of 0.143, this shows the income inequality of red chili farmers in Merembu Village, Labuapi District in the mild or low category. This statement is reinforced by the Lorenz Curve approach and the World Bank Criteria Approach, namely the results of calculations based on the World Bank approach obtained that 40% of the population with low incomes receive an income of 29.6% or greater than 17% (Low Category) of the total existing income. This indicates that the category of the level of income distribution of chili farmers in Merembu Village, Labuapi District is relatively low
