Abstract

The collection of information about the potential these stands inextricably linked to the measurement of the volume of timber, either directly or indirectly. For interpretation timber volume inventarsisasi forest activities can be used with an auxiliary table that is practical. The purpose of this study to determine the volume of the stand either manually or using the model to determine the ratio of the volume results. Data were collected by census intensity of 100% at the campus garden land Merdeka Madiun University. To suspect standing stock volume by measuring the diameter (dbh) and tree height. Then from the results data created table manually and table models to determine the result of the difference in the two tables, model estimation elected is Power is with the equation Y = 16,700 x 2,608 dbh (m), with R2 0.944 (RSS) 0.758 SEE 0.951 after it tested test if the t value is smaller than the value of the table then it means there is no significant effect between manual calculations and model calculations.Keywoords : Standingstock, Volume, Model allometric

Abstract

Persons with disabilities are part of citizens who have the same rights and obligations as those who do not have disabilities. But often their existence is less recognized by the community. Lack of access to education, employment and so on makes it difficult for people with disabilities to live a life like normal society in general.According to Law of Republic Indonesia Number 8 of 2016, persons with disabilities are those who experience physical, intellectual, mental, and / or sensory limitations for a long period of time who interact with the environment can experience obstacles and difficulties to participate fully and effectively with citizens. others are based on equal rights. One of the efforts so that persons with disabilities get the rights and obligations in the state is empowered. One form of empowerment is providing various skills training. The community service activities in Simbatan Magetan aim to find out the process of implementing various skills and assistance. Starting from how the implementation of skills training, such as what empowerment is done, how the level of success, as well as what becomes an obstacle in the empowerment process so that it can be independent. These skills training activities are endeavored to provide changes to persons with disabilities, those who were previously helpless became empowered, independent, brave, able to socialize well, even earn income from the skills they made, even though there were several obstacles faced. Keywords—: empowerment; persons with disabilities; independence.

Abstract

Stand density and species diversity are two indicators that are highly related to forest productivity. However, the effect of those variables on the productivity of community forest is rarely documented. This study evaluates the influence of stand density and species diversity on timber production and carbon stock in the community forest. The study area was located in Madiun District. A field survey was conducted in four different community forest sites, i.e. Morang, Kuwiran, Randualas, and Kare. The sampling technique was by quadrat method using a sample plot size of 25 m x 25 m. The number of sample plots used in this study was 64 units, which were evenly distributed in every site. Comparison of stand attributes among sites was examined by Kruskal-Wallis test and followed by Kruskal-Nemenyi test on the effects of stand density and species diversity on timber production and carbon stock were assessed separately for each parameter using the generalized least square regression test. The process of statistical analysis was applied using a significance level of 5%. Results show a significant difference in stand volume, aboveground biomass, and carbon stock among sites (P<0.05). This study also recorded a meaningful effect of stand density and species diversity on timber production and carbon stock of community forest, wherein stand density provided a higher effect (R2 = 0.68; P<0.05) than species diversity (R2 = 0.26; P<0.05).
