Abstract

Factors influence variations in adolescent menstrual duration would change the hormonal rhythm of thehypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian cycle, so that it indirectly changes the level of secretion of the reproductive hormones.Nutritional intake is predicted to be one of the factors in the regulation of reproductive hormones, as wellas the sleep and wake cycles in a teenager. This study analyzed the relationship between macro nutrient intake andsleep duration with menstrual duration in adolescents aged 16-18 years. 120 adolescents was selected by usingcluster random sampling from 6 high schools in Magelang City-Central Java for this cross sectional study. Allof variable were collected through interview techniques using a questionnaire. Analysis with correlation test andmultiple linear regression used to analyze the relationship between each independent variable with the dependentvariable with a significance value <0.05 and the relationship of all independent variables on the dependent variable.The correlation (Pearson correlation test) between energy intake(r=0.397:p=0.000), fat(r=0.396:p=0.000),carbohydrate(r=0.337:p=0.000), and sleep duration(r=0.315:p=0.000) with menstrual duration was significant,whereas for protein intake (Spearman Rank test) was not significantly associated (r=0.018:p=0.841). The value ofR2 = 0.252.Based on this, it is important to regulate macro nutrient intake and sleep duration for having normalmenstrual duration.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Chronic disease is a condition or health problem that is associated with symptoms or disability requiring long-term management. DIABETES MILLITUS is a chronic disease, thus requiring appropriate treatment in order to control glucose levels in a normal or stable state and prevent complications. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation of diet to with Diabetes Millitus patient’s glucose levels.This study uses Analytic Observational study designs with correlational design involved 48 respondents taken by simple random sampling. The collection of data by observation and interviews. Data were analyzed using Phi coefficient test with level of significance p˂α (0.05).Based on the results, 27 (56.25%) of the respondents had uncontrolled glucose levels. The results of the analysis show the Phi coefficient test p = 0.017, which means there is H0 is rejected, so that there is correlation diet to with Diabetes Millitus patient’s glucose levels.From the description above it can be concluded that adjusting the diet can to control glucose levels. It can be used as a healthy program to realize helathy people have the independence toward other people or drugs.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus is a non-communicable disease that causes an increase in mortality. The prevalence in Tuban Regency is 1.7%, cases of diabetes mellitus are increasing. One of the risk factors for diabetes mellitus is unbalanced eating habits. In addition, physical activity is a major risk factor in triggering the occurrence of Diabetes Mellitus. These counseling and exercise activities aim to increase knowledge and awareness related to balanced diet and diabetes mellitus. In this activity, all participants were active in the discussion that was held after the counseling. In addition, all participants were enthusiastic in participating in joint gymnastics activities. It is hoped that after this community service activity all participants can apply a healthy lifestyle and balanced diet in their daily life. In addition, it also controls blood glucose levels and nutritional status to keep it normal and ideal. Keywords: Balanced Diet, Nutrition Counseling, Gymnastics, Diabetes mellitus

Abstract

Street food has become an inseparable part of people's lives, both in urban and rural areas. Children from any group generally like snacks. "Snack culture is part of the daily life of almost all age groups and social classes, including school-age children and adolescents. The nutritional content of snack foods varies, depending on the type, namely as we know main meals, snacks, and drinks. The method of implementing the activity and the solution to this problem is to educate on the management of pregnant women with high risks. This activity was carried out on Tuesday, May 20, 2019  at 09.00-10.00 at SDN Kebonsari Tuban using the lecture and question and answer method using leaflet media and was attended by 20 participants. Healthy snacks are nutritious snacks and do not contain harmful substances. At SDN Kebonsari there are still many students who consume unhealthy snacks but after the Health Education was carried out, students began to understand healthy snacks and could choose which snacks to buy and consume.

Abstract

Masa remaja merupakan masa pertumbuhan yang sangat pesat ditandai dengan perubahan fisik dramatis menyebabkan remaja sangat memperhatikan tubuhnya. Ada sebanyak 85% perempuan muda sangat khawatir dengan penampilannya. Salah satu faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi citra tubuh remaja putri salah satunya adalah gaya hidup dan pola makan, yang akan mengakibatkan status gizi seseorang menjadi normal dan tidak normal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara status gizi dengan citra tubuh remaja putri. Desain penelitian menggunakan analitik observasional korelasi dengan pendekatan waktu adalah cross sectional dengan Populasi 286 siswa remaja putri, sehingga didapatkan besar sampel 168 responden. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan simple random sampling dan pengumpulan menggunakan observasi dan kuesioner, sedangkan uji statistik yang digunakan adalah chi square. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan responden dengan citra tubuh yang positif lebih banyak dengan status gizi normal sebesar 37%. Sedangkan untuk citra tubuh yang negatif lebih banyak tidak berbeda jauh pada remaja putri dengan status gizi yang kurang sebesar 26,1% dan remaja dengan status gizi yang normal sebesar 28%. Berdasarkan uji chi square didapatkan p value=0,000, sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima artinya dengan demikian terdapat hubungan antara status gizi dengan citra tubuh remaja. Dari uraian diatas dapat disimpulkan bahwa status gizi mempengaruhi citra tubuh seorang remaja, diharapkan keluarga maupun masyarakat dapat memberikan motivasi dan dukungan pada remaja yang mengalami ketidak puasan terhadap citra tubuh, sehingga remaja tidak mengalami perubahan status gizi dalam perkembanganya.

Abstract

Nutritional status at kindergarten nutritional status at this age is influenced by nutritional status as a toddler and will affect nutritional status during adolescence, the age when growth spurts occur. Malnutrition early intervention is important if nutritional problems are found, this can be done if nutritional status screening data is available. The rampant cases of stunting are of concern to the government, where the cause of stunting itself is due to a lack of intake since I was still in the womb, a lack of awareness to have health checks, and a lack of sanitation and clean water. Therefore, it is necessary to improve diet, parenting patterns and good sanitation. This study aims to screen the nutritional status of KBRA Manbail Futuh Beji students, Jenu District, Tuban. A total of 33 KB children and 61 RA children participated in this study. Demographic data and anthropometric data were collected. An overview of nutritional status based on weight/age shows the percentage of children with nutritional status of overweight, at risk of being overweight, and underweight, the results are the same, namely 1 child with a percentage of 3.03%. Nutritional status based on height/age shows the percentage of children with short nutritional status as many as 6 children with a percentage of 18.8%. Nutritional status based on weight/height shows the percentage of children with overweight and obese nutritional status with the same results, namely 1 child with a percentage of 3.03% for each result for overnutrition status of 3 children with a percentage of 9.09%. Nutritional status based on BMI/U shows the percentage of children with obese nutritional status as many as 3 children with a percentage of 4.92% overweight and malnutrition as many as 4 children with a percentage of 6.56% the risk of overweight is 1 child with a percentage of 1.64%.
