Abstract

Abstrack: This study aims to determine the differences in social relations before and after the applied Gurindam Dua Belas values through group guidance and to know the influence of the Twelve Gurindam Values through group guidance to improve students' social relations. The research was conducted in Pekanbaru State Middle School of 8 subjects with purposive sampling technique. The research design was pre-experiment with the one group pre-test post-test model. The instrument of data collection used was a social relations questionnaire. The results showed that there were differences in social relations before and after the Gurindam Dua Belas values were given with a significance value of 0.012 <0.05. In addition, based on the Spearman rank test it is known that there is a significant influence between the Twelve Gurindam Values on the social relations of students with a significance value of 0.003 <0.05. The influence of the Twelve Gurindam Values on students' social relations is 79.5% while 20.5% is influenced by other factors that originate from within and from the student's environment. From the results obtained, it is recommended that all people should continue to preserve cultural values in the Gurindam Dua Belas, whose content is able to increase character values, social values, and moral values to encourage the development of social relations related to cooperation, accommodation and assimilation.Key Words : Gurindam dua belas Values, Social Relations, Group Guidance

Abstract

Abstract:This study aims to examine the effects of contingency contracting techniques in reducing the , addictive behavior playing online games of students in SMPN 13 Pekanbaru. The quantitative research method was used in this study and the research was designed based on the one-group pretest – posttest design. The measuring instrument used in this study was the aggressive behavioural measurement scale consisting of 50 and 44 items before and after validation respectively. The validity score was calculated to be 0.25 and the reliability score was obtained as 0.949. The subject was determined by using purposive sampling technique, and it was obtained that 7 students in SMPN 13 Pekanbaru were identified as having a high level of addictive behavior playing online games. The data were analysed by using the non-parametric statistical technique and were tested by using the Wilcoxon analysis test. This is known from "Test Statistics", known as Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) worth 0.018. Because the value of 0.018 is smaller than <0.05, it can be concluded that "Ha is accepted". To that end, it can be concluded that there are differences in the scores of addictive behavior playing online games before and after treatment given in the form of Kcontingency contracting techniques. The results of the study showed that the there are differences in the scores of addictive behavior playing online games before and after treatment, in the form of contingency contracting techniques. Based on the calculations that have been done, the 71% Pre-test is in the very high category and 29% in the high category. Post-test was 71% in the medium category and 29% in the low category. Thus Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. So that it can be concluded that the technique of contingency contracting can reduce the aggressive behavior of students of SMPN 13 Pekanbaru.Key Words: students of SMPN, contingency contracing, addictive playing online games

Abstract

Abstract: Self Esteem is an overall evaluation of self, which includes positive and negative judgments. Self Esteem also means how much we like ourselves. But there is a low self esteem that makes students feel inferior about being involved, not confident, blaming themselves caused by being criticized harshly, being ignored, even forcing something to perfect. One way to improve low self esteem is through assertive training techniques through group guidance. The purpose of this study is to describe the self esteem of students, to know the differences in the level of student self esteem, and the effect of the implementation of assertive training techniques in increasing student self esteem in group guidance. This type of research is a quantitative study using experimental methods using one group pretest-posttest design. The measuring instrument used in this study is the scale of self-esteem measurement consisting of 50 items before validation, and after the validity obtained valid items as many as 31 items with a validity of 0.300 and reliability of 0.893. The subjects of this study were 7 students from the Guided Labor Vocational School of the FKIP UNRI Pekanbaru who identified low self esteem. The data analysis technique used is the non-parametric statistical technique using the Wilcoxon test. The results of this study proved the hypothesis was accepted. It can be concluded that there are differences in self esteem of students before and after being given treatment in the form of assertive training techniques through group guidance. From the Spearman rank test obtained 0.847 while the r ^ 2 correlation coefficient is 0.16 thus the effect of assertive training techniques in increasing self esteem is 71%.Key Words: Assertive Training, Self Esteem
