Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of students' mathematical reasoning abilities through Macromedia flash digital learning media. Learning media is an educational product that can bridge students' interest in learning mathematics so that with this interest, they can increase their mathematical thinking skills at a higher level. The population of this study was students of SMPN Rokun Hulu. The research sample was one of the junior high schools in Rokan Hulu Regency, which was selected purposively according to the problems found in the field, namely SMPN 1 Ujungbatu. The research instrument is an essay test. Research data analysis using quantitative descriptive data analysis, correlational, and paired t-test. The results showed that there was a significant difference between ordinary learning used by teachers and learning using Macromedia flash digital media. These results can be seen from the results of the descriptive test and paired t-test with a significance of 0.00. These results indicate that Macromedia flash-based digital learning media effectively improves the reasoning of SMPN 1 Ujungbatu students

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kevalidan dan kepraktisan media pembelajaran interaktif menggunakan Adobe Flash Cs 6 Profesional pada materi relasi dan fungsi. Metode yang digunakan yaitu  metode Research and Development (RD) dengan model pengembangan Plomp, yaitu: (1) investigasi awal (prelimenary investigation); (2) desain (design); (3) realisasi/konstruksi (realization/construction); (4) test, evaluation and revision; (5) implementasi (implementations). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik non tes dengan instrumen pengumpulan data yaitu lembar validasi dan lembar kepraktisan. Lembar validasi terdiri dari tiga aspek, yaitu: aspek media, aspek materi dan aspek bahasa yang divalidasi oleh ahli media dan ahli materi. Lembar kepraktisan diisi oleh siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil analisis rata-rata validasi diperoleh persentase 90,68 % dengan kategori sangat valid.  Rata-rata kepraktisan media pembelajaran adalah 86,11% yang termasuk pada kriteria sangat praktis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan pengembangan media interaktif menggunakan Adobe Flash Cs 6 Profesional pada materi relasi fungsi sebagai media dalam pembelajaran dapat ditarik kesimpulan yaitu telah dihasilkan suatu produk yang teruji kevalidan dan kepraktisannya.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce a mathematics learning tool in the form of the lesson plan and student's worksheet using the guided discovery method on the circle material of class VIII junior high school which has been tested valid. This development refers to the Research and Development (RD) model which includes 10 stages, namely potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revisions, product trials, design revisions, usage trials, product revisions, and mass production. Modified according to the needs of this research into 6 stages, namely potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, and final product. The data analysis technique used is the descriptive analysis technique. The validation sheet was used as a data collection instrument in this research. The validation sheet is filled out by 3 validators consisting of 2 lecturers of the mathematics education study program FKIP UIR and 1 mathematics teacher. Based on the results of the lesson plan validation, a percentage of 85.6% was obtained with very valid criteria, while the students’ worksheet validation results were 82.6% with fairly valid criteria. This research concludes that mathematics learning tools have been obtained using the guided discovery method in class VII junior high school on the circle material which has been tested valid. Keywords: circle; guided discovery; learning tools; mathematics; validity  DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/mtk/v9i4.pp501-513

Abstract

The study aims to develop geometric instruments that can be used to improve geometry based on Van Hiele's cognitive level, which is integrated with Malay culture. This study's research design is the Research and Development (R D) proposed by Carson, which consists of several stages, namely: potential and problems, material collection, product design, product validity, product testing, product revision, and mass products. The subjects of this study were 65 students majoring in math education in the first semester. The test instruments were analyzed using Aiken's validity and Cronbach Alpha reliability. The trial analysis was analyzed using descriptive statistics to test students' abilities during three meetings. The data analysis showed that the test instruments were developed in valid and reliable categories. The instruments developed were descriptions in the valid and reliable categories. The instruments in the form of valid and reliable test descriptions can be used to obtain relevant data and improve geometric skills based on the Van Hiele Level, which is integrated with Malay Culture.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to create an instrument to evaluate the factors that influence the success of the local curriculum in senior high school. The instrument developed is essential to find out what factors influence the success of the local curriculum. This research is a research and development which consists of three stages: (1) initial investigation, (2) design and validation stages, (3) trials, evaluations, and revisions. The results of small scale trials were analyzed using EFA (Exploratory Factor Analysis), obtaining one invalid item from 32 items. The results of a wide-scale test analyzed using CFA (Confirmatory Factor Analysis) obtained all indicators have loading factors 0.3 and reliability constructs 0.7. The results of the analysis show that the developed instrument fits the data obtained in the field. From the constructs of the instrument development, it is indicated that there are nine influential factors, consisting of regional government support, local community support, local industry support, academic community support, student interest, student motivation, practical tools, practical materials, and funds to buy lab material. The instrument developed has been used properly to obtain information about the factors that influence the success of the local curriculum.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan suatu perangkat pembelajaran matematika berupa Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) dengan menggunakan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi trigonometri kelas X SMA yang valid. Dalam pengembangan LKPD ini menggunakan model ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima tahap, yaitu tahap Analysis (analisis), tahap Design (desain), tahap Development (pengembangan), tahap Implementation(implementasi), dan tahap Evaluation (evaluasi). Tetapi dikarenakan situasi pandemi COVID-19 model pengembangan ADDIE yang dilakukan hanya 3 tahapan saja, yaitu: Analysis (analisis), Design (desain) dan Development (pengembangan). Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi LKPD. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik nontes berupa angket. Data validasi dari 2 Dosen Pendidikan Matematika FKIP UIR dan 1 guru matematika SMA Negeri 14 Pekanbaru. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh hasil validasi LKPD adalah 90,79% dengan tingkat validasi sangat valid. Berdasarkan penelitian ini diperoleh Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik dengan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi trigonometri di SMA Negeri 14 Pekanbaru yang valid.

Abstract

This community service is motivated by many complaints of teachers who have difficulty in analyzing teacher-made questions to be used in evaluations. As a professional teacher we must make good questions and be able to analyze the questions to be used in the test. In addition, a teacher is also required to be proficient in using IT to support his work in the current era of globalization. Based on this, the community service needs to be held with the aim to assist teachers in preparing questions that are well used in evaluation. Long-term application of this activity is very beneficial for teachers and lecturers, teachers will be helped by the implementation of this service. For lecturers, this activity is needed as a form of implementation and fulfillment of Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Pillars of Higher Education). The form of activities carried out in this was training to use Bilog Software for questions analysis for Teachers of SMA Plus Binabangsa Pekanbaru. This service activity ran well which held in the odd semester of the 2019/2020 academic year at Binabangsa High School Plus. In this activity the teachers was very enthusiastic in participating, the lecturer was also enthusiastic in teaching Bilog Software for Question Analysis. From this activity the teacher was greatly helped in analyzing the questions and making the evaluation process successful.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan pengabdian ini dilatarbelakangi banyaknya pertanyaan guru-guru baik di Negeri maupun di Swasta yaitu yang menginginkan pendalaman pengetahuan terkait desain media pembelajaran Matematika selama masa pandemi Covid-19 yang menghasilkan Peserta didik saat ini dituntut untuk bisa berkontribusi secara luas tentang lingkungan global dan mengerti akan pengembangan sistem pendidikan berkepanjangan atau konstan dimasa sekarang dan masa akan datang. Pendidikan pembangunan konstan mengharuskan masing – masing siswa menguasai pengetahuan, keterampilan, etika dan tingkat pembentukan konstan dimasa akan datang. Berdasarkan inilah pengabdian perlu dilakukan dengan tujuan memotivasi guru-guru dalam menciptakan media pembelajaran matematika agar selalu siap menghasilkan peserta didik yang selalu siap mengisi pembangunan yang berkelanjutan sekarang dan masa depan serta mampu menjawab pertanyaan tentang “Bagaimana matematika dapat berkontribusi dalam mewujudkan kehidupan yang berkelanjutan”. Hasil pengabdian ini adalah termotivasinya guru-guru dalam mendesain media pembelajaran matematika dengan tujuan mengarahkan peserta didik dengan kawasan yang benar adalah jalan keluar agar dapat menghidupkan karakter di aspek ekonomi, sosial dan budaya serta lingkungan.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini  adalah untuk menganalisis ada tidaknya perbedaan keyakinan diri calon guru pendidikan matematika ketika praktik microteaching antara mahasiswa yang diberikan pembelajaran noticing metakognitif dengan pembelajaran micro teaching biasa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen, dengan desain nonequivalent eksperimental dan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini melibatkan dua kelompok mahasiswa pendidikan matematika yang mengambil mata kuliah micro teaching yaitu: mahasiswa semester 6A dan 6B, 6A adalah kelas eksperimen yang mengikuti pembelajaran noticing metakognitif sedangkan kelas 6B merupakan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan pembelajaran micro teaching biasa. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan teknik angket dengan instrumen angket keyakinan diri yang diberikan diakhir treatment. Data dianalisis dengan deskriptif  menggunakan uji-t dengan berbantuan spss versi 22. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan dari hasil uji-t,  terlihat perbedaan keyakinan diri praktik micro teaching diantara kedua kelompok. Mahasiswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran noticing metakognitif lebih memiliki keyakinan diri ketika praktik micro teaching dibandingkan dengan mahasiswa yang tidak menggunakan pembelajaran noticing metakognitif. Pembelajaran noticing metakognitif dapat memupuk kesadaran diri mahasiswa untuk siap praktik micro teachingnya.

Abstract

This research aimed to find the structural equation model of mathematics teachers' Performance in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 that fits according to data in the field. The Research population was secondary mathematics teachers of Riau Province, Indonesia. Research samples were a part of teachers who were taken based on the purposive sampling. The instrument was a questionnaire developed and validated through content and construct validity. Data analysis was a correlational technique with a structural equation modeling approach. The analysis result showed that the structural model arranged based on the literature study and expert FDG fit statistically. Five variables significantly affected the mathematics teachers’ performance in the industrial revolution 4.0 variables that is; Leadership, work motivation, teachers' self-efficacy, teachers' Creativity, and organizational climate. TPACK did not affect the industrial revolution 4.0. Leadership significantly affected Teachers' Self-Efficacy, Teachers' Creativity, Work motivation, TPACK, and organizational climate. The organizational climate significantly affected work motivation, TPACK, Teachers' Self-Efficacy, and Teachers' Creativity. Work Motivation significantly affected Teachers' Self-Efficacy, Teachers' Creativity, and TPACK. Teachers' Self-Efficacy did not affect Teachers' Creativity and TPACK. Teachers' Creativity significantly affected TPACK. Of 15 paths from endogenous to endogenous variables, 13 paths are significant, and two paths are not significant.
