Abstract

This type of research is descriptive qualitative research that presents the percentage of students' errors in solving mathematical problems, especially the questions of quadratic equations and squared inequalities. The research subjects were 22-grade students of SMA Serayani Sungguminasa, as many as 22 people. This study aims to determine the level of error made by class X SMA Handayani Sungguminasa students in solving quadratic equation problems and squared inequalities, especially conceptual errors, principle errors, and algorithmic errors. Data collection is done by providing an instrument in the form of a diagnostic test consisting of 6 items in the class essay with the intention to obtain the score of each type of error level. From the results of the analysis, the percentage of concept error rates was 39.77% (high), the principle error rate was 44.63% (high), and the algorithm error rate was 64.35% (very high). While in general, the level of error of class X students of Handayani Sungguminasa High School in completing the questions of quadratic equations and inequality squares is 54.85% or in the category, the level of error is very high.

Abstract

Tujuan umum penelitian ini adalah 1) mengikaji nilai-nilai kearifan lokal budaya masaurat di desa Ubung; dan mengidentifikasi makna dan fungsi budaya masaurat di desa Ubung; 2) mengidentifikasi makna dan fungsi tradisi masaurat di Desa Ubung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan kultural. Data diperoleh dari data primer dengan sumber data berasal dari aparat desa, tokoh masyarakat, dan masyarakat Desa Ubung. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi non partisiatif dengan teknik survei lapangan (field study), wawancara (interview), dan studi dokumentasi. Tahap analisis data, meliputi pengidentifikasian data, pengklasifikasian data, dan penganalisisan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tradisi masaurat sarat dengan nilai kearifan lokal. Nilai-nilai kearifan dalam tradisi masaurat berupa (a) nilai kebersamaan; (b) kekeluargaan; (c) musyawarah mufakat; (d) gotong royong; (e) partisipatif; (f) peduli sosial; (g) rasa kasih saying; (h) kerendahan hati; (i) perhatian; (j) setia kawan. Makna tradisi masaurat bagi masyarakat Maluku khususnya warga desa Ubung adalah bahwa manusia Maluku bukan hanya manusia yang berpribadi tunggal melainkan mereka memiliki ekspresi sebagai manusia Maluku yang memahami dan menunjukkan diri sebagai homo sosial. Sementara, fungsi tradisi masaurat bagi masyarakat Maluku, khususnya masyarakat desa Ubung adalah (a) untuk menjaga warisan dari para tetua adat manusia Maluku; (b) untuk memelihara, melindungi, dan melestarikan nilai-nilai tradisi masaurat yang sarat dengan kai wait, kebersamaan, dan kekeluargaan; (c) untuk mengembangkan dan memeberi ilmu serta wawasan kepada para generasi tentang makna hidup serasa dan sepenanggungan dalam hidup sosial dan lain-lain.

Abstract

Banyak dari lulusan siswa SMA yang tidak memiliki minat untuk melanjutkan pendidikannya ke perguruan tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi persuasif yang dilakukan oleh guru dalam memberikan motivasi kepada siswa SMA kelas XII untuk melanjutkan studi. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan dengan metode kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri 9 Buru Kecamatan Lolongguba dan MA Uswatun Hasanah Kecamatan Namlea Kabupaten Buru. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik wawancara, dokumentasi, dan catat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi persuasif yang dilakukan oleh guru terdiri atas lima teknik, yaitu 1) teknik asosiasi yang dilakukan dengan memilih topik yang sedang hangat diperbincangkan dan mendiskusikannya dengan siswa, 2) teknik integrasi dilakukan dengan berupaya untuk mengakrabkan diri dengan siswa dengan menggunakan bahasa yang digunakan siswa dalam komunikasi sehari-hari, 3) teknik ganjaran dilakukan dengan menceritakan berbagai pengalaman orang sukses dan memberikan hadiah kepada siswa yang ingin melanjutkan studi, 4) teknik tataan dilakukan dengan menampilkan pantun motivasi dan menyelipkaan candaan pada sela-sela motivasi, 5) teknik red-herring digunakan dengan menjelaskan pengorbanan orang tua siswa sehingga para siswa harus menjadi anak yang suskes.

Abstract

Students still have difficulty calculating multiplication. This study aims to improve the multiplication ability of grade IV SD Negeri 1 Airbuaya students. The research location is SD Negeri 1 Airbuaya with a total of 16 students. The data in this study were obtained from interviews, questionnaires, observation results, and evaluation results. This research was carried out in two cycles which were carried out based on the stages: (1) compiling an activity plan, (2) carrying out actions, (3) observing, and (4) analyzing which was carried out by reflection. The results showed that the results of the researchers 'observations on pre-action in classroom learning, the students seemed less active, easily bored, and the students' attention to the teacher's explanation was very small. In the action cycle 1, mastery of the material before learning was given 31%, after the activity took place 58% active student activity, 30% moderate student, and 12% passive student. 62% active cooperation, 28% medium students, and 10% passive students. Meanwhile, the average evaluation result is 68 with 33 students completing and 16 unfinished students. Result of action in cycle 2, mastery of material before action 48%. After the action was carried out, 78% active student activity, 18% moderate student and 4% passive student activity. 84% active student cooperation, 14% medium students, and 2% passive students. The results of the evaluation on average are 76 with 13 students completing and 3 incomplete students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of students' abilities in (1) determining what is known, (2) determining what is asked, (3) making a mathematical model, (4) completing a mathematical model, (5) concluding answers from math story problems. The results of descriptive statistical analysis show that: (1) The ability of grade VII students of MTs Miftakhul Khair Namlea in determining what is known is categorized as high with a confidence interval of 6,96 £ m £ 7,60; (2) The ability of grade VII students of MTs Miftakhul Khair Namlea in determining what to ask is categorized as high with a confidence interval of 4,93 £ m £ 5,36; (3) The ability of grade VII students of MTs Miftakhul Khair Namlea in making mathematical models is categorized as high with a confidence interval of 9,54 £ m £ 10,67; (4) The ability of grade VII students of MTs Miftakhul Khair Namlea in solving mathematical models is categorized as low with a confidence interval of 12,93 £ m £ 21,79; (5) The ability of grade VII students of MTs Miftakhul Khair Namlea in concluding answers to math story problems is categorized as low with a confidence interval of 10,69 £ m £ 16,95.

Abstract

Siswa masih kesulitan dalam mempelajari konsep pecahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi penyebab kesulitan siswa dalam mempelajari konsep pecahan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan tes dan angket sebagai instrumen. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri 4 Waeapo. Data dianalisis dengan cara mereduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi kesulitan siswa dalam memahami konsep pecahan, yaitu diantaranya siswa mengikuti pelajaran dengan pasif, belajar jika ada keinginan dan tidak mempunyai pemahaman dalam memanfaatkan waktu belajar, kurangnya perhatian dan keterlibatan langsung orang tua dalam mendampingi siswa ketika belajar di rumah, siswa masih menganggap matematika itu sulit.

Abstract

Students have difficulty understanding a material because of a lack of confidence. This study aims to determine the increase in motivation and self-confidence of students after learning to use the PBL model in thematic learning in class I SD Negeri 4 Waeapo. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) using qualitative and quantitative analysis methods. The data collection design used was observation, interview, and questionnaire. The results showed that the students' mastery of learning was quite good from the results of the formulative tests in the two cycles carried out starting from the first cycle to the second. Student learning outcomes achieve mastery of 43.3% of the total number of students in cycle 1 and increase to 83.3% of the number of students in cycle 2. The application of thematic learning models of environmental themes with this contextual approach can improve student learning activities. This can be seen from the results of observations that reached an average score in the first cycle = 1.6 and changes in the average score in the second cycle = 2.5. From cycle I and cycle II it was clear that there was an increase in the average score of 0.9. The application of thematic learning models of environmental themes with this contextual approach can improve the standard of students' mastery learning. This can be seen from the results of observations that achieved an average score in the first cycle = 1.7 and changes in the average score in the second cycle = 2.5. From cycle I and cycle II it was clear that there was an increase in the average score of 0.8.

Abstract

Bahasa anak memiliki pola atau kaidah yang unik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pola kalimat tunggal murid TK di Kecamatan Namlea dengan pendekatan Tatabahasa Transformasi (TTG) yang dipelopori oleh Noam Chomsky. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada dua pola struktur frasa pada bahasa murid TK, yaitu yaitu FN + FV dan FN + FA. Selanjutnya, bentuk kalimat tunggal murid TK dapat dilihat dari dua jenis transformasi, yaitu tranformasi negatif dan pasif. Kedua jenis transformasi ini memiliki struktur lahir dan batin. Dari kedua struktur tersebut menghasilkan pola trasformasi yang berbeda. Untuk trasformasi negatif pada struktur lahir memiliki pola K ------> Neg + FN[Su] + FV + FN[Ob]. Pola ini akan berubah ketika bertransformasi negatif menjadi K ------> Neg + FN[Su] + FV + FN[Ob]. Berikutnya struktur lahir pada tranformasi pasif memiliki pola K -----> FN[Su] + FV + FN[Ob]. Pola ini akan berubah ketika bertransformasi pasif menjadi K -----> FN + FN[Su] + FV. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahasa anak TK di Kecamatan Namlea telah memiliki pola sesuai dengan perkembagan bahasanya..

Abstract

This research aims to describe the counting operation capabilities of grade II elementary school students with card game methods. This type of research is classroom action research with Kemmis and Mc Taggart models. The research was conducted at public elementary school (Sekolah Dasar Negeri or “SDN”) 1 Teluk Kaiely, SDN 1 Lilialy, and SDN 3 Namlea. Data is collected with tests and observations. Furthermore, the data is analyzed with qualitative and quantitative techniques. The results showed that by using the card game method, the ability to calculate the grade II elementary school students improved from the beginning of the pre-cycle to cycle II. The average value in pre-cycle is 65 with the percentage of 42%. The average value increases to 66, with a percentage of 58%. The average score increased to 78 with the percentage of 81% reach the cut of score in cycle II

Abstract

Improving Student Mathematics Learning Outcomes through the Application of the Quantum Teaching Model. This study aims to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of students using the TANDUR type Quantum Teaching learning model with the assisted discussion method of Student Worksheets (LKS). This study is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles. The subject of this study were all students of class VIII.9 SMP Negeri 1 Maros totaling 38 students. Data sources came from students and teachers. Data collection techniques used observation, documentation and tests. The analysis technique used in this study was quantitative analysis techniques. The results showed that the application of the TANDUR type Quantum Teaching method can improve student learning outcomes. in learning Mathematics in class VIII.9 1 Public High School Maros. In addition there is an increase in student activity and teacher performance.
