Abstract

The aimed of study is to determine the effect of variations of frying media on processing the abon of betok fish and the acceptance of panelist on abon betok fish has resul. This study used Completely Randomized Design with palm oil treatment (double filtering) and coconut oil (cocos nucifera). The parameters which observed were water content, ash,  protein content, crude fiber and hedonic quality are color, aroma, flavor and texture. Based on the best proximate test results was abon which using used ordinary palm frying media. The result of organoleptic test the showed the pleasure of panelist's level toward  abon betok fish which was processed by using ordinary coconut oil that had color value about 6.67%, 7.20% aroma, 6.73% flavor, and texture 6,19%.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the management of Lemo beach is based on the current conditions and to determine the appropriate development strategy in the management of Lemo beach tourism, as a marine tourism destination in East Luwu. The research method is descriptive and quantitative. The types of research are field observations, questionnaires and literature studies, techniques and data collection instruments using observation techniques, questionnaires, literature and documentation and data analysis techniques using descriptive techniques and using SWOT analysis. namely visitors or tourists who are used as a source of information needed in research, while the object of research is Lemo Beach as a marine tourism destination. The results showed that from the SWOT Analysis, which uses the EFE Matrix, the IFE Matrix and SWOT Matrix external factors with the highest scores that affect the development of tourist objects are opportunity factors namely the chance of high tourist interest so Lemo beach can be a beautiful tourist spot, while the highest threat is negative impact of tourism. Internal factors with the highest score are strength factors, namely natural potential that supports tourism activities, cool and beautiful air, while the weakness factor is lack of awareness of the environment.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the rate of drying of grain using dryers of Greenhouse effect type. This research is a type of experimen research by drying of grain for 7 hours. During the drying process, conducted temperature measurement of on the dryer room is using a thermometer. In addition, to determine changes water content conducted water content test before and after drying use oven method. The results showed that the initial water content of the in grain that is 24.21% (bb). The of in grain highest drying rate occurs at the beginning of drying is in the 30th minute water evaporate at 0.17% (bb/mt). Drying rate continues to occur, but along with the increase drying time and increasingly dryness of the ingredients so that in the final stages the water evaporates approach 0 with the final water content obtained that is 7.24% (bb)

Abstract

This study aimed to modify the crab’s fishing device (Portunus pelagicus) in increasing the production of the fisherman. The number of fishing tools was 10 pieces, consists of 5 tools after the modification and 5 tools beforer the modification. This research is a design building. The data was collected through descriptive analysis and comparison analysis. The result of the research stage showed that on the first trip the highest number of catches crab is 10 tails and the second trip the highest number of catches crab is 7 tails, while the highest production of crab during 2 trip is 627 g.

Abstract

The objectives of classroom action research is to find out how far the achievement results of student of class X ATP SMK Negeri 6 Takalar after Think, Pair, and Share methods are applied. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles. The first cycle conducted four times and the second cycle conducted two times. The research subjects were all students of class X ATP consists of 24 students. Data were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative data. The results concluded that the used of Think, Pair, and Share methods can improve the performance results of class X ATP SMK Negeri 6 Takalar. Student achievement increased measured by evaluation test of the first and second cycle

Abstract

The aims of this research is to design a pressing tool melinjo’s grain and to know the results of testing pressing tool melinjo’s grain to process the melinjo’s grain into the chips.  The research is the engginering research and design. Research data obtained from testing tool by calculation pressing pressure, the capacity of working tools, the percentage of damaged materials and measurements of the thickness of  melinjo’s chip. The technique of  data analysis using quantitative analysis with descriptive of statistic. Based on the results of the calculation, pressure of pressing tool melinjo’s grain must be greater than 2,6 kg/cm2, the working capacity of tool must product average percentage 0,173 kg/h, the percentage of materials damage has average percentage 40,29 % and thickness measurement of chip has the best thickness on the 3rd testing with average thickness 1,208 mm

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the effect of drying using room dryer to the quality of sago flour. This research is an experiment research with Factorial Complete Random Design consisting of two factors, namely: drying type (traditional drying and  room drying) and material thickness treatment (1cm, 2cm and 3cm). The test parameters observed were moisture content, starch content, amylose content, amylopectin content and color test. The analytical technique used in this study is the of analysis of variety using SPSS version 23. The results showed that the best treatment is room drying and 1 cm thickness, water content (10.44%), starch content (53.73%), amylose content (2.27%), amylopectin content (52.42%), color (90.74%) sago resulting.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the influence of light color of lamp and different light intensity against the response of milkfish seed (Chanos - chanos forskal) and tilapia fish seed (Oreochromis niloticus). This experiment with experimental design used is Completely Random Design Pattern Factorial (Factorial RAL) consisting of two variables that is light color lamp with 3 level of treatment that is: red, blue, and yellow and light intensity with 2 level of treatment that is: intensity 500 lux and 1000 lux. Research variable observed is amount Fish caught from the type of light treatment given. Examination technique used in this study is the analysis of variance that is processed using SPSS version 23. The results showed the blue light of lamp with the intensity of 500 lux most responded by milkfish seeds and granting the yellow light of lamp  with the intensity of 1000 lux most responded by the tilapia seeds in the observation time after the 15th minute

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the conductivity and coefficient of heat transfer in drying process of gabah (unhulled rice) by using cabinet dryer. This research is a type of experimental research done by drying "gabah" with temperature variations 50OC, 60OC and 70OC while the duration of drying 160 minutes, 170 minutes and 180 minutes. then to know the temperature change during the drying process used thermocouple, while to know the change of  "gabah"  water  level  is  done  by  water  content  test  before  and  after  drying  by  using  ov en  method. The results show that the higher the drying temperature, the "gabah" temperature will be close to the temperature of hot air, while the moisture content the higher the temperature and drying in a long time will cause the "gabah" water content decreases. The value of the  "gabah" conductivity and the heat transfer coefficient of the"gabah" is 0.32 W/m.OC and 31.77 W/m2.OC.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the quality of canal water as well as to know the presence or absence of heavy metal contamination of Hg and Pb in fish derived from the canal. The research method is descriptive quantitative. Water testing conducted at BBIHP Makasaar with parameters DO, BOD, COD, Hg, and Pb as well as testing the type of tilapia fish and sepat Siam conducted in BPPMHP Makassar with heavy metal parameters Hg and Pb. The length of the canal (Gowa canal) is about 2.95 km. The results showed that the water quality of Hertasning canal in good condition when viewed from pH, DO and COD parameters because it is still in the range of water quality standard class III according to PP RI. 82 of 2001 except BOD parameters. Water and fish derived from the Hertasning canal have contained heavy metal contamination of Hg and Pb. The results showed that the concentration value of heavy metals Hg and Pb is well below the threshold set according to PP RI. 82 year 2001 so that still can be utilized according to its allotment. The content of heavy metals Hg and Pb in both types of fish is also still below the threshold set by SNI 2729: 2013 for fresh fish.
