Abstract

Various studies have shown that adolescents have very complex problems along with the transitional period experienced by adolescence, a problem that stands out among adolescents, namely the problems surrounding TRIAD KRR (sexuality, HIV and AIDS as well as drugs). The role of the media is important in shaping the knowledge of adolescents in understanding reproductive health problems. Multimedia is a combination of media which is more than two media consisting of integrated text, graphics, images, photos, audio, video and animation. This study uses research and development (R and D) methods. The population in this study were students at SMPN 19 Jambi City. The sample was selected using purposive sampling technique totaling 35 students. This research was conducted from March to November 2020. The data analysis in this study used qualitative analysis techniques and quantitative descriptive. Quantitative data collection was carried out by measuring the level of students' initial knowledge (pre-test), then introducing a 10-minute video media for adolescent reproductive healt. Evaluation is carried out by measuring the level of knowledge (post test) and evaluating student responses to the experience of accessing the developed video.  Overall the percentage level of media feasibility by material experts is 98.6% with the very feasible category. The results of eligibility by media experts obtained a percentage level of 80% with the feasible category. The results of the Wilcoxon test showed a significant difference (r-value 0,000) from the students' knowledge before and after the intervention was given. The results of the percentage of respondents' responses to the media are 93% with a very good. For further research, it is hoped that this video media can be developed with a more specific topic regarding adolescent reproductive health while still paying attention to the duration of the video and can also be developed learning media with interactive multimedia.

Abstract

Smoking is a health problem in Indonesia and one of the main factors of several chronic diseases that can lead to death, although many smokers are aware and admit that smoking can lead to cancer. WHO estimates that the number of smokers in Indonesia in 2025 will increase to 90 million people, or 45% of the total population. Some adolescents think that smoking is a need to relax or other reasons that make smoking commonplace. The proportion of smoking among people aged ≥10 years in Indonesia with smoking behavior every day is 24.3% and occasional smoking is 4.6%. This study aims to determine the level of knowledge, attitudes and smoking behavior in adolescents. The research method used is correlational with cross sectional approach. The population in this study were students and female students at SMKN Kota Jambi, the sampling technique with accidental sampling was 49 people. The instrument used was a questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed by univariate and bivariate and statistical tests were performed using the ch-square test. The results showed that most of the respondents had good knowledge of 57.1%, a positive attitude of 59.1% and the majority of adolescents did not smoke 63.2%. The statistical test results showed no significant relationship between knowledge and smoking behavior (P> 0.005) but there was a significant relationship between attitude and smoking behavior in adolescents (P <0.005). It is hoped that the school will implement a smoking-free area and put up a warning poster for the dangers of smoking in the school environment and carry out continuous monitoring and evaluation

The sampling technique was purposive sampling. The instrument used to measure the scale of pain during menstruation uses the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). The collected data tested for normality data, and the data is normal, then the statistical test is done using repeated Anova test. The analysis showed that there were differences in pain scale before and after months 1 and 2 interventions with mean (sb) pain scale (5.8 (1.6) vs. 4.0 (1.7) vs. 2.7 (1.3) and P <0.05). The study concludes that yoga affects the decrease in pain scale during dysmenorrhea.

Abstract

The achievement of exclusive breastfeeding is still below the national target; this is a sign that the awareness of mothers in breastfeeding still needs to be improved. Based on the data of the Riskesdas year of 2018, the proportion of breastfeeding in infant ages 0-6 months in Indonesia are 37,3% and exclusive breastfeeding 9,3%. The government is targeting exclusive breastfeeding coverage of 80%. The coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in Jambi City is still below the government's target. Exclusive breastfeeding has a significant contribution to the development of optimally and endurance of children. This study aims to determine the factors that influence the practice of exclusive breastfeeding in Desa Suka Maju, Mestong District, Muaro Jambi Regency.  This research is a quantitative analytic observational study with a cross-sectional approach. The sample in this study was all mothers who had babies totalling 112 mothers. Those who met the inclusion criteria were a purposive sampling technique. The data obtained were processed statistically using the chi-square test. The results showed that 30 people (26.8%) mothers gave exclusive breastfeeding, 15 people (18.81%) out of 80 mothers with low education provided exclusive breastfeeding and 15 out of 32 mothers with higher education provided exclusive breastfeeding. 11 people (15.5%) mothers with insufficient knowledge gave exclusive breastfeeding, and 19 people (46.7%) gave exclusive breastfeeding, but there were still 22 people (53,%) mothers with high knowledge who did not provide exclusive breastfeeding. And based on parity 22 people (32.4%) mothers with low risk gave exclusive breastfeeding, eight people (18.2%) mothers with high risk gave exclusive breastfeeding, and based on the results of statistical tests, education and knowledge had an effect on exclusive breastfeeding with a value P value <0.05 and maternal parity had no impact on exclusive breastfeeding with p value> 0.05. Education and knowledge affect exclusive breastfeeding, while parity does not guarantee that a mother is better at giving lactation. Researchers recommend that further research should use other variables such as knowledge and support from family members who are most influential in decision making and forms of husband support in the practice of exclusive breastfeeding.

Abstract

One type of traditional health services that can be integrated at the Puskesmas is acupressure. Acupressure to increase the amount of breast milk can be done by massaging at the intersection of the perpendicular lines from the corner of the little finger nail. Oxytocin massage is one solution to overcome the uneven production of breast milk. The purpose of this study was to develop educational media for acupressure and oxytocin massage for Jambi Midwifery Department students at the Jambi Polytechnic. The type of research was quasi-experimental using a pretest posttest design without control design which involved 36 students from the Jambi Polytechnic of Health in the Midwifery Department who had been held in May-November 2022, and were selected using a purposive sampling technique. This research was conducted from May to November 2022. Analysis of research data used a non-parametric test, namely the Wilxocon test. The results showed that there were differences in the level of knowledge before and after the intervention where before the intervention the minimum knowledge score was 5 and then increased to 9 after the intervention. Statistically, it shows that there is a significant difference in students' knowledge scores before and after the intervention (p-value <0.05). The conclusion of the study is that education about acupressure and oxytocin massage is effective in increasing student knowledge.
