Nowadays,water could be contaminated by heavy metals such as chromium (Cr). Chromium toxicity depends on its state of valence. Cr (VI) as highly mobile is toxic, while Cr (III) as a less mobile is less toxic. Potentially, Cr (VI) content   can be reduced by ZSM-5 impregnated TiO2. TiO2  as a catalyst can activated and modified zeolite with active metal materials. The impregnation between ZSM-5 and TiO2 should be reduce Cr (VI) content in water. The objective of this study was to assess concentration of ZSM-5 impregnated TiO2 which  most  effectively  for  decreasing  Cr  (VI)  content.  Decreasing  Cr  (VI) content in various concentration of ZSM-5/TiO2  was measured using UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The results showed that variation of zeolite concentration had an effect on decreasing Cr (VI) content in water. Photodegradation of Cr (VI) in various concentrations (0.25%;0.50%; 0.75%; 1.00%; 1.25% w/v) respectively are 16.99%; 18.84%; 24.83%; 30.82%; 36.14%. Concentration 1.25% w/v of ZSM-5 impregnated TiO2   as the highest to decrease Cr (IV) content. On the other hand, Using TiO2  or ZSM-5 only was showing lower percentage of Cr (VI) reduction which compared ZSM-5/TiO2. In conclusion, More higher concentration ZSM-5/TiO2  caused   faster photodegradation and higher percentage decrease of Cr (VI) content in water. Jamur ling zhi (Ganoderma lucidum) sudah mulai dibudidayakan secara intensif di Indonesia. Masalah yang sering dihadapi dalam budidaya jamur ling zhi adalah kesulitan dalam penyediaan bibit. Proses penyediaan bibit jamur biasanya dilakukan secara konvensional menggunakan media agar. Metode konvensional akan membutuhkan biaya dan waktu produksi yang banyak sehingga diperlukan metode pembibitan baru yaitu kultur terendam teragitasi. Kultur terendam miselium dari kultur murni langsung dapat ditanam pada media tanam jamur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan produksi miselium jamur ling zhi dalam medium air kelapa tua dan tauge extract broth dengan metode terendam teragitasi. Parameter  utama penelitian meliputi berat kering miselium, sedangkan parameter pendukung meliputi suhu inkubasi, pH medium awal dan akhir inkubasi. Penelitian dilakukan dengan rancangan acak lengkap faktorial (RAL) dengan faktor medium. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produksi miselium jamur ling zhi (G. Lucidum) dalam medium air kelapa tua lebih tinggi dibandingkan medium tauge extact broth. Kata kunci: Ganoderma lucidum, Medium, Air Kelapa Tua, Tauge Extract Broth, Kultur Terendam Teragitasi

Robusta is the most widely cultivated coffee in Indonesia (90% of the total Indonesian coffee production). Antioxidant activity and polyphenol content of Robusta coffee is higher than Arabica coffee or the other plants. One of the efforts, for coffee market expansion is product diversification through decaffeination of coffee . Decaffeination is one of process to reduce caffeine content. Decaffeinated coffee (decaff coffee) began to become public demand. In addition to its more delicious taste, low caffeine coffee is beneficial for health because it is safer to eat. Coffee decaffeination can utilize organic solvents that contain proteases. Tofu waste was one of protease sources. So that, tofu waste had potential as solvent in decaffeination The objective of the study was to assess the antioxidant activity of Robusta green coffee after going through decaffeination by using tofu waste. The study was used Factorial Completely Randomized Design, i.e . concentration of tofu waste (30%,60%, 90%) and length of immersion (3, 6, 9 hours). Robusta green coffee antioxidant activity was examined by using DPPH method. The results showed that the highest antioxidant activity ( 17.6061) was in the treatment of 90% waste concentration and 9 hours of decaffeination time. In conclusion, the greater the concentration and the longer the decaffeination resulted in the higher antioxidant activity. This study provides information about coffee processing methods that can produce coffee with the best quality. So, It can increasing the value of domestic coffee products especially in the global market and utilizing tofu liquid waste to be more malleable.
