Abstract

Weaken information and coordination stream between company and enchain its generate information distortion which one of them in the form of ever greater request amplification channel upstream compared to named channel downstream with phenomenon of bullwhip in this research will be conducted development of solution alternative to lessen effect bullwhip by applying method of Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process, where later will be obtained and weight of ranking priority and also get chosen solution alternative to lessen the happening of effect bullwhip. Target of which wish to be reached from this research to determine criterion weight and solution alternative reduction of effect bullwhip and also chosen solution alternative to get lessen effect bullwhip [at] company chain supply. Result which is obtained from measurement of Bullwhip Effect at Supply Chain in CV. Welirang Tirta Mandiri is UD Putra Sejati equal to 1.26, UD Semeru equal to 2.09, Sumber Rezeki shop equal to 1.81, Pacific Shop equal to 2.57, UD. Prima equal to 1.26 while at manufacture echelon equal to 1.56 and retailer echelon 1.26. Chosen alternative to lessen effect bullwhip is to conduct monitoring to inventory level exist in channel downstream (Retailer).

Abstract

Problem often faced by a fertilizer bagging machine unit is the inegularity of machinemaintenance in which the machine is operated continuously until it damages and can not beoperated any longer. It will result in relatively high down time cost.To solvet his problem we propose a machine maintenance planing based upon data acquired by using Markov Chain Method. There are four types of maintenance we propose they are:l. Maintenance planing with corrective maintenance or high level of damage condition and preventive maintenance or mediurn le vel ofdamage condition.2. Maintenancep laningw ith correctivem aintenancfeo r high and medium level of damageconditiona ndp reventivem aintenancfeo r low levelo fdamagec ondition.3. Maintenance planing with corrective maintenance or high level of damage condition andpreventive maintenance or medium and low level of damage condition4. Maintenance planing with corrective maintenance or high and medium level of damage condition. To determine the best proposal that will be selected we use analysis of preventive maintenance cost and corrective maintenance cost that will result in expected cost for eachmachine. From the four proposals one with the least expected cost is chosen that is planing with corrective maintenance for high level of damage condition and preventive maintenance formedium and low level ofdamage condition.

Abstract

The purpose of this article aims to examine literary the relationship and practices of Just-in-Time (JIT), Total Quality Management (TQM) and Supply Chain Management (SCM) on firms and their impacts on operational performance, which in turn impact organizational performance. The method used in this work is by gathering information relating to the practices of JIT, TQM, and SCM from different journals and articles based on the survey of various researchers. The source of articles used in this study is popular journal databases such as Google scholar, EBSCO Host, science direct, Emerald, Springer Link and Scopus. From the databases, 65 articles related to those three major operations management components are collected and reviewed. The results showed that JIT, TQM and SCM practices in both manufacturing and service industry individually and jointly impact organizational performance.

Abstract

In trade competition for this time, then each factories must be try to completing consumer demand on precise time and quantity. One thing which influence is fluent of production. In order that production able to work smoothly, so it is necessary to conducting work resposibility to perform work operations in production process. There is exact work responsibility could be optimalizing collar worker productivity. Then, this thing have side effect to production cost. One way to create this situation is with using VAM (Vogel' Approximation menthod). On VAM, this case will be finished equivalen with transportation problem that production capacity and demand said on same squad, same total capacity and same demand. If some time this situation is not completed, then the system must be balanced out first with make capacity or demand Dummy.

Abstract

The progressive competition among industries and the increase of customer expectation will lead the progressive efforts in reducing the cost of production and logistic activities in the future. The companies (mass production, job shop and service industries) are forced to tighten their production process effectively by cutting the unnecessary activities in logistic flow, delete dummy and redundant elements, specializing the core business, and eliminate the wastes to simple and make their production process is more competitive. The lean concept could be the alternative way to reduce the main wastes: inventories and production cycle time. Eventhough it is very expensive to implement the lean production in the shop floor production, but the waste elimination and continuous improvement as the main key of the lean thinking has promised a significant improvement and profit for companies which implement the concept. The tools that could be used as methods to make the production process leaner such as just in time with kanban card system, kitting principle, collaborative scheduling and production plan, group technology, cell manufacture design and line balancing are well implemented in the worldwide. The efforts in leaning production will continue due to the lean thinking basically try to make the system better and believe that there is no best system but there is always better system.

Abstract

This research have aim to reduce waiting time of patient in pregnant division at RSUD Saiful Anwar Malang. First step, collecting the time between arrival data and service time data at each division. These data were tested using Kolmogorov-Smirnov to find a kind of distribution and the parameter of the data. Them making service system design based on the initial condition using ARENA and run to find the mean of waiting time from the beginning design, using trial and error then tried some new altematives design to minimize waiting time.

Abstract

Customer service is a very important aspect within the supply chain. Through collaboration, the goal of each party within the supply chain is to add value to a product, in order to accelerate good customer service.  Good customer service leads to customer satisfaction and most importantly it developed customer loyalty. These are the main goal of ever firm in the supply chain, starting from raw material, production, distribution and down to the final consumer. This work is developed to investigate the impact of supply chain management collaboration activities on customer service in an inter-organizational context. This is done by examining how effective collaboration in supply chain management creating confidence and trust between vendor-customer relationships that provides benefit to both organizations; one of such benefit is improved customer service. This can be obtained through the use of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), which ensures that products are delivered to customers faster with great accuracy, and demand forecasting and inventory management, which ensures that vendors maintain optimal inventory level so that they always have what customers want in stock. The method used in this work is by gathering information from several articles, journals and text books relating to this research work. There is a total of 49 including journals, books and articles used in this work, all of which are related to this study.
