Abstract

This study is aimed tof the determine the effect of Interpersonal Communication towards Employee Productivity Grand Rocky Hotel Bukittinggi. The research type is using associative causal correlation approach. The population of this study were permanent employees of the Grand Rocky Hotel Bukittinggi with amounted of114people. Selection of the sample using proportionate stratified random sampling technique (54). Collecting data using a questionnaire based on Likert Scale which has been tested for validity and reliability. The results showed that in general, the interpersonal communication was classified as good category and the labor productivity was classified as passbly. Based on regression analysis the study had found influence siginifikansi between interpersonal communication with labo rproductivity by 23%. Keywords: Communication, Interpersonal, Productivity, Work

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the correlation between the supervisor supervision with working discipline of the housekeeping employee at Rocky Plaza Hotel Padang. The type research is correlational. Population in this research are amounted to 30 people. The sampling technique is non probability sampling, by using saturated sampling. Sample in this research are amounted to 30 people. Data collection using a questionnaire based on a Likert scale that has been tested for validity and reliability. The results of the research indicates that the supervisor supervison at Rocky Plaza Hotel Padang is good (73,4%), and for working discipline of the housekeeping employee at Rocky Plaza Hotel Padang is good (80%). The results also indicate that the presence of a medium significant correlation between supervisor supervision and working discipline of the housekeeping employee at Rocky Plaza Hotel Padang with correlation coefficient values (0,515) and significant values (0,004). Abstract

This study aimed to analyze (1) consumer response to pricing on hotel rooms Alana Padang, (2) the consumer's decision to use room service at the hotel Alana Padang and (3) the relationship with the room price fixing in the consumer's decision to use Padang Alana hotel room service. The study population was a visitor Alana Hotel Padang April 2012 sampling technique using accidental sampling with a sample size of 83 rooms based on the number of occupancy in April 2012 From the results obtained the following conclusions: (1) pricing is carried out by the Hotel Alana Padang has been in accordance with the facilities provided, equipment room and the hotel location is strategic, and (2) There is a positive and significant relationship between the pricing of the consumer's decision to use the services of Alana Hotel rooms at Padang.Key Words: hotel, room pricing, costumer's decision.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the development strategy of public facilities that have internal indicators are strengths and weaknesses, and than external indicators are opportunities and threats. This research was descriptive research with qualitative data. Technique of data collected by using interviews, observation and documentation. Determination of informants using Purposive Sampling technique, and Snow-Ball Sampling. Strategy for the development of public facilities Tourism Market are strategic location and the availability of land can be utilized to build unavailable facilities such as waiting areas and children's playgrounds, improving parking systems such as building special parking spaces for the two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles, As well as making programs such as "Parking Discount Cards" so that visitors prioritize using parking services at the Tourism Market location compared to using other parking services, maintaining clean water quality and cleanliness of public toilet with routine daily check and repair facilities completeness in public toilet such as lighting conditions, scoop conditions and the availability of garbage bins in the toilet, forming a member of the merchant board of Mosque and make mutual assistance program on a regular basis while for the relevant office can do the renovation and supervision of the use of Mosque, disseminates the promotional benefits of the Market Service to the merchant so that the available stall / store can be utilized by the shopkeeper to do the promotion through the installation of the store's signboard by creating a personal brand, in addition to making shopping programs such as discount programs, Sales, and other programs that can attract visitors, the majority of visitors who come from many families can use as a target market by building a child-friendly facilities such as waiting areas and small playgrounds such as small slides and swings so it does not require land Wide and no land constriction.Keywords: strategy, development, public facilities, tourism market

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the Perception of Visitors AboutFacilities at Gunuang Padang. The type of research is descriptive quantitative. Thevisitor population in tourist attraction is 1.493 people. Selection of this researchsample using purposive sampling technique counted 94 people. Data collectionusing questionnaires based on Likert Scale that has been tested for its validity andreliability. The result of Perception of Visitors About Facilities at GunuangPadang is categorized well with the average value of 90.62 which is in the range86.66 - 103.99. While based on each indicator are: (1) form of tourism facilitypertained in good category with average value equal to 20,88 is in range of score20,16 - 24,49, (2) function of tourism facility pertained in good category with anaverage score of 28.55 is in the range of the score 23.74 - 30.25, (3) the locationof tourism facilities belonging to the good category with an average value of20.78 is in the range of the score 20.16 - 24, 49, (4) the quality of tourismfacilities is categorized as good category with an average value of 20.52 is in therange of 20.16 - 24.49 score.

Abstract

The purpose of research is the gues perceptions about the excellent service of reception employee in Axana Hotel Padang City. This research consists of six indicators are: ability, attitude, appearance, attention, action, accountability, This type of research is descriptive research using survey method. Population in this research is guest have stayed in Axana Hotel Padang on September 2014 until January 2015 amounted to 6.137 guest. Sampling technique is non probability sampling, using insidental sampling. Sample number in this research amounted to 93 guest. Data collection using a questionnaire based on a Likert scale that tested for validity and reliability. Based on the results of the study concluded that in general the gues perceptions about the excellent service of reception employee in Axana Hotel Padang City good less in mean 94,27 between range 73,5 -< 94,5. indicators about excellent service good less all.

Abstract

The research is motivated by the conditions of the Bung Hatta Forest Park is not maintained properly. The purpose of research is to describe the Management of Forest Park Attraction Bung Hatta Padang City which includes: planning, organizing, actuating, controlling. The research is descriptive qualitative, with the sources of data that was taken from management officer informants, local communities, and visitors. Selection of the informants using snowball sampling technique. Data collection is using interview technique, observation, and documentation. The results of research indicates that the Management of Forest Park Attraction Bung Hatta Padang City is not maximized. This can be seen by each indicator: (1) The planning attraction for the long term is to conservate the area and for the short term is to development attraction. The planning in general has not led to the development of the attraction, (2) The organizing of the management officers is only responsible about main duties of technical operations and technical support, and application of the organizing management are still in general, with lack of specification of work, (3) actuating was remind to each other from management officers attraction for the jobs to be done, (4) The controlling was conduct by management officers together with the local communities of attraction, police, and Padang City forestry agency.

Abstract

The reseach aims to know the quality of waitres service in Cinnamon Poolside Restaurant Hotel D`oxville Padang review from 5 indicators of quality services which are: reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles. The research type is descriptive quantitative. The population of this research are all customers who had eat or drink in Cinnamon Poolside Restaurant Hotel D`oxville Padang with the number of the average guest as much as 621 people. The sampling in this study is purposive sampling as many as 86 people. The data collection are done by questionnaires using the scale of likert and has been tested the validity and reliability. This research result indicates that overall the quality of service in the Cinnamon Poolside Restaurant Hotel D`oxville Padang is good with 56,98% of the respondents declared as good and 34,88% of the respondents declared as enough.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the internal factors and external factors of the Panorama Tabek Patah and then devise the strategic planning activities of nature tourism in Panorama Tabek Patah. This research is descriptive research with qualitative and quantitative data. The technique of data collection is done using the method of observation, interview, questionnaire and documentation The sample of this research are some of the informants consisting of the Department of culture Tourism Youth and Sports (3 people), the Manager of Panorama Tabek Patah (1 person) community around tourist attraction (3 people), as well as visitor at the attractions (65 people) by using purposive sampling technique. The data obtained were analyzed by reduction of the data, the presentation of data, conclusions and taking a level percentage of achievement of the respondentsStrategic planning for nature tourism activities that will be developed are: 1. Making a spot at the place to enjoy the sights, promoting sightseeing activities as one of the competitive activities and prepare a tourguide that can guide tourists in conducting activities sightseeing. 2). Making tracks for hiking, training the community on a regular basis, utilizing the community or youth nagari to maintain the security of hiking activities, create routes and codes regarding hiking. 3. Reviving the activities of the flying fox, making a collaboration with tourism and the local government. Strategic planning of tourist activity in Panorama Tabek Patah with interpretation 63.07% with range score ≥ 61.75. While based on each sub activity indicators of tourist sightseeing with a score of 13.38, hiking with a score of 16.25 and flying fox by a score of 16.25 by category strongly agree.Keywords: Strategic Planning, activity outdoors

Abstract

This research was motivated from the observation regarding the storage of foodstuffs at the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality, there is no longer space available to received the foodstuffs, unorganized materials of perishabel and grouceries. This research was consisted by two indicators of Materials Perishabel and Materials grouceries. This research was descriptive research with qualitative data. The sampling technique was done by purposive sampling. Data were collected by observation, interview and documentation involving informans and respondents. According to the research, it was revealed that (1) Perishable materials; storage according the temperature was done as needed, Perishable materials, that were available are cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, korsvet, sausage, cream, butter, with as a refrigerator storage equipment in the temperature of 18-20 °C. mean while the storage technique of perishable is using first in first out system. For the cleanliness of storage equipments cleaning was done twice a week. (2) Groceries materials; storage of groceries materials carried by differentiating according to the type made at the time of food receiving, Groceries materials available were flour, sugar, powdered sugar, dried herbs, edible oils, chocolate powder, gelatin powder and fermifan with made of wood with two shelves as a storage equipmen, The storage technique of groceries is also using the first in first out system. Then the positioning of groceries stock card whice incorrect has become the problem for students to found the availability of groceries, and for the cleanliness of storage equipments cleaning was done three times in a semester.Keywords: Materials Perishabel and Materials grouceries, First in first out.
