Abstract

Learning is characterized by the use of good questioning skills , especially in learning for large groups of children. Skills in question play an important role in student learning activities. The low skill of students asking in the learning process can lead to disruption of an effective learning process and must be handled by the BK teacher appropriately. Questions are one of the stimuli of thinking that is good for teaching students. The research method used is R & D (Research and Development) by following the steps in developing the ADDIE pattern (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The subject of the research trial consisted of experts to test the feasibility of the model, the BK teacher to assess the suitability of the model, and students to test the effectiveness. The study was conducted by collecting initial data as a material for consideration in preparing the initial model which was then tested for its suitability and effectiveness through Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and expert testing. The results of this study show that the students' skills in question are in the high category.

Abstract

Self Adjustmentin school environment is a process that covers mental responses and behavior change in which the students struggle for managing their needs, tension, conflicts and frustration so that they could harmonize their needs and the school’s demands. One of the approaches done to develop the students’ self adjustment was reality therapy. This research was aimed at revealing: the average score of the students’ self adjustment in school environment before and after reality therapy was applied; and the effectiveness of group counseling by using reality therapy approach in developing the students’ self adjustment in school environment.This research applied quantitative method. This was a pre-experimental research which used the one group pre-test post-test design. The subject of the research was chosen by using non-random sampling technique and purposive sampling method. The subject consisted of twelve students who were categorized into maladjustment and well adjusted. This research was conducted at SMAN 1 Sungai Tarab for six meetings. The instrument of the research was self adjustment scale of Likert scale model. The data gathered were analyzed by using Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test of statistic non-parametric technique assisted with SPSS version 20.00.The research findings revealed that, in general, group counseling by using reality therapy approach was effective in developing the students’ self adjustment in school environment. Meanwhile, in particular, there was a difference between self adjustment score of the students before and after group counseling by using reality therapy approach was applied. Based on the research findings, it was conluded that the students’ self adjustment in school environment could be developed through group counseling by using reality therapy approach.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the high activity of the Cleric of Nurul Ikhlas in Polonia, Air Tawar Timur Village, Padang Utara District, Padang City. The high level of activity of the Majelis Takhlim Nurul Ikhlas is alleged because the approach taken by the board was very good, the mobilization was very good, and the activities carried out went very well. The purpose of this research is to describe the approach used by the management in moving the activities of the Majelis Takhlim Nurul Ikhlas. This research is descriptive quantitative research. The population in this study were 105 members of Majelis Takhlim Nurul Ikhlas, as well as 40 samples. The sampling technique used was random sampling. The data collection tool used was a questionnaire, data analysis techniques using the percentage formula. The results showed that the management's approach to mobilizing the activities of the Majelis Takhlim was viewed in terms of (a) the approach taken by the management was very well done, (b) the mobilization carried out by the management could run very well, and (c) the activities of Majelis Takhlim went very well.

Abstract

This research was based on the high of the learning spirit of Japanese language training participants at Smart College job training institute in Padang city. This assumed because of the use of learning media by the training instructors. This research aimed to: The use of learning media, the spirit of Japanese language training, and the significant relationship of the use of learning media with the spirit of Japanese language training participants. This research is a correlational quantitative study. The population in this study was all Japanese language training. The sampling technique is a cluster random sampling. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire, while the data collection tool used a questionnaire in the form of a statement list. Data analysis techniques use percentage and rank order. The results of this study indicate that: the use of instructional media is categorized quite interesting, the enthusiasm for learning Japanese trainees is categorized quite high, and there is a significant relationship between the use of learning media with the learning enthusiasm of Japanese trainees. Suggestions in this research are: it is expected that the use of attractive learning media can involve all the senses so that the material presented is clear, and appropriate for Japanese language training, it is expected that use of instructional media uses attractive colors, the material taught is in accordance with the media used, and the availability of media in training institutions, and it is expected that if the training activities use instructional media, participants will be enthusiastic in learning, on the contrary, if the training activities do not use instructional media, then the enthusiasm of participants will be less in participating in training activities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pelaksanaan ice breaking yang baik di Lembaga Pusat Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia Regional Bukittinggi. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan pelaksanaan ice breaking yang sesuai dengan peserta diklat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan ice breaking oleh widyaiswara dalam aspek: perhatian, relevansi, keyakinan, dan kepuasan. Jenis penelitian tersebut ialah penelitian gambaran kuantitatif. Peserta yang diteliti di dalam penelitian tersebut merupakan peserta diklat kepemimpinan angkatan 1 yakni sebanyak 38 orang maka sampel 9 peserta. Sampel di dalam penelitian tersebut dengan menggunakan teknik sensus. Teknik mengumpulkan data yaitu menggunakan kuesioner / angket, kemudian analisis data menggunakan rumus persentase. Perolehan penelitian mengemukakan yaitu pelaksanaan ice breaking dari widyaiswara dalam diklat kepemimpinan di Lembaga Pusat Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia Regional Bukittinggi yang meliputi pelaksanaan ice breaking oleh widyaiswara dengan aspek keyakinan dikategorikan sangat baik, pelaksanaan ice breaking oleh widyaiswara dengan aspek relevansi dikategorikan sangat baik, pelaksanaan ice breaking oleh widyaiswara dengan aspek keyakinan dikategorikan baik, dan pelaksanaan ice breaking oleh widyaiswara dengan aspek kepuasan dikategorikan sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka disarankan agar widyaiswara untuk lebih konsisten dalam melaksanakan ice breaking dengan aspek perhatian, relevansi, keyakinan, dan kepuasan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh tingginya prestasi peserta didik pada kegiatan ekstrakurikuler di SMPN 26 Padang. Hal ini diduga karena pelaksanaan pendekatan yang digunakan oleh pelatih. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk:mengetahui pelaksanaan pendekatan pesuasif, kooperatif dan perubahan tingkah laku. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif. Populasi penelitian ini keseluruhan peserta didik ekstrakurikuler pelatihan pencak silat. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu stratified random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang menggunakan angket, sedangkan alat pengumpulan data mengunakan lembaran angket berupa pertanyataan. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pendekatan pelatih dalam bentuk persuasif dikategori baik, pelaksanaan pendekatan kooperatif dikategorik baik dan perubahan tingkah laku dikategorik sangat baik. Saran dalam penelitian ini adalah pelaksanaan pendekatan persuasif dalam kegiatan pelatihan pencak silat hendaknya dilakukan dengan komunikator yang baik dan materi, tanpa menggunakan kekerasan dan paksaan, sehingga peserta didik secara suka rela mengikuti instruksi pelatih. Pelaksanaan pendekatan kooperatif dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler pencak silat hendaknya dilakukan secara terus menerus, tidak hanya pada waktu awal pelatihan saja agar peserta didik dapat bekerjasama dengan pelatih sampai akir kegiatan.pelaksanaan pendekatan perubahan tingkah laku seharusnya mampu mngajarkan nilai karakter yang baik dan pelatih dapat menjadi teladan.

Abstract

Keberhasilan belajar dapat dilaksanakan dengan meningkatkan kualitas proses pembelajaran. Salah satu jenis metode pembelajaran yang dapat difungsikan dalam rangka meningkatkan keberhasilan belajar kognitif adalah snowball throwing. Snowball throwing adalah metode pengembangan kooperatif yang menggunakan sebuah permainan dengan cara melempar bola salju yang di dalamnya terdapat pertanyaan, bagi yang memperoleh bola salju tersebut wajib merespon pertanyaan yang telah tersedia. Pada dasarnya metode snowball throwing dapat meningkatkan keberhasilan belajar kognitif peserta didik di bidang IPA yaitu matematika. Penelitian ini diselenggarakan dalam rangka untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode snowball throwing terhadap keberhasilan belajar kognitif peserta didik paket C di SKB Kab. Padang Pariaman. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian eksperimen kuasi. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 20 orang peserta didik yang terdiri atas one group design eksperimen. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes untuk pretest dan posttest. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah uji-t dan uji regresi berkorelasi yang diselesaikan dengan bantuan komputer Microsoft exel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara nilai rata-rata pretest dan nilai rata-rata posttest. Hasil analisis data diketahui bahwa keberhasilan belajar matematikan dengan penerapan metode snowball throwing memiliki rata-rata nilai lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan tanpa menggunakan metode snowball throwing. Rata keberhasilan belajar peserta didik pada pretest sebesar 37,15 sedangkan pada posttest sebesar 66,33. Hasil uji statistik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diperoleh thitung sebesar -0,01 pada taraf nyata 0.05 dengan derajat kebebasan 18 adalah t0,05;18 = 2,07, sedangkan hasil uji regresi berkorelasi diperoleh rhitung sebesar 0,7672 sedangkan nilai rtabel pada taraf nyata 0,05 adalah 0,444. Berlandaskan pada hasil analisis data dan temuan pada penelitian maka dapat ditarik kesimpulannya yaitu metode snowball throwing berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keberhasilan belajar kogitif peserta didik paket paket C di SKB Kab. Padang Pariaman.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the success of scout extracurricular activities at Bukittinggi Middle School 1. This is thought to be due to the learning method used by the trainer. The study aims to see the successful achievement of skill in scout extracurricular activities at Bukittinggi middle school 1 seen from the use of demonstration methods and practice methods. This type of research is correlational quantitative research, the population in this study were 45 scout members. Sampling used cluster random sampling so the sample was taken as many as 34 people. Data collection techniques use questionnaires while data collection tools use a list of statements (questionnaire). Data analysis techniques use product-moment formula. The results of this study indicate that (1) ratio demonstration methods in scout extracurricular activities from the aspect of action are classified as high, (2) demonstration methods in scout extracurricular activities from the illustration aspect are high,(3) demonstration method in scout extracurricular activities from the demonstration aspect are high, (4) demonstration methods in scout extracurricular activities from the aspect of oral statements are classified as high, (5) practice methods in scout extracurricular activities in dexterity are hight, (6) practice methods in scout extracurricular activities are high, (7) practice methods in scout extracurricular activities from the aspect of accuracy classified as high, and (8) the practice method in scout extracurricular activities from the aspect of opportunity is high.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the good learning outcomes of the KBIH pilgrimage of the pilgrimage to Nur Zikrillah Kota Padang, allegedly because the Hajj rituals are carried out using the simulation method. This study aims to see the implementation of the simulation method of Hajj guidance in KBIH Nurzikrillah Kota Padang. This type of research is quantitative descriptive. The population of the study was KBIH Nur Zikrillah pilgrimage worshipers in 2019 totaling 235 people. The sampling technique is simple random sampling. Samples were taken from 30% of the population, 70 people. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire, a data collection tool using a questionnaire that contained a list of statements. Data analysis techniques use percentages. The results showed that: (1) the preparation of the Hajj guidance simulation was carried out well, (2) the Hajj guidance simulation process was carried out well, (3) the closing of the Hajj guidance simulation was carried out well. Can be seen from most of the congregation always giving statements. Research suggestions are in carrying out simulations, simulations have been prepared in full, the simulation process is followed closely, and reflection activities are held at the end of the simulation.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the high activity of sewing creativity trainees in UKM Padang, West Sumatra. This is allegedly due to the use of the learning methods used by the instructor in the training. This study aims to: describe the form of preparation, implementation and evaluation of the sewing creativity training process in UKM City of Padang, West Sumatra, using Demonstration learning methods. This research is a correlational quantitative study. The population in this study were all sewing creativity training participants in UKM Kota Padang, West Sumatra. The sampling technique is cluster random sapling. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire, while the data collection tool used a questionnaire in the form of a list of questions distributed to trainees. Data analysis techniques use percentages. The results of this study indicate that based on aspects such as preparation, implementation, evaluation in the use of demonstration methods in sewing creativity training in SMEs in Padang, West Sumatra. This is evidenced by the large number of trainees choosing alternative answers SR (Frequently) and SL (Always) in each of these aspects. Suggestions in this study are: it is expected that the use of learning methods in training is interesting and not tedious and can increase the activity and participation of students in the learning process, so that the process of acceptance of learning can be conveyed properly. And it is hoped that the use of demonstration learning methods by instructors can be maintained in every training that is carriedout.
