Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the PMRI approach with the context of cone rice on cone volume material on student learning outcomes in class IX of SMP Negeri 1 Pagaralam 2018/2019 academic year. The method used in this study was True-Experimental Design with a pre-test design posttest control group design. Sample of students including 30 students in the experimental class (IXH) and 32 control class students (IXI). The data collection techniques used were test and documentation. To measure student mathematics learning outcomes in this study used a written test in the form of essays totaling five questions. The hypothesis of the research is PMRI's approach to the context of cone rice in cone volume material is effective on student learning outcomes in class IX of SMP Negeri 1 Pagaralam 2018/2019 academic year. The results of students' mathematics test data using the PMRI approach with the context of cone rice on cone volume material on student learning outcomes in class IX of SMP Negeri 1 Pagaralam in the 2018/2019 academic year were obtained from the average.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the mathematical communication skills of students during the scientific approach was applied using graphmatica software on function graph material in college. This research was an experimental study in the category of one group pretest posttest design involving 30 first semester students of mathematics education study program at STKIP Muhammadiyah Pagaralam. The results showed that students’ mathematical communication skills during the applied scientific approach using graphmatica software on function graph material were classified as very good. This means that the use of graphmatica software through the scientific approach can build students’ mathematical communication skills. Through the learning process based on a scientific approach consisting of observing, quetioning, associating, experimenting, and networking, students’ mathematical communication skills both verbally and in writing are classified as very good. For this reason, these activities have a positive influence on students. Beside building students’ mathematical communication this approach also influence students’ learning outcomes. Better the mathematical communication skills, better the learning outcomes. Therefore, building mathematical communication skills is very important in learning especially in learning through a scientific approach using graphmatica software. The use of graphmatica software can be used in other course such as calculus courses. So, graphmatica software can be used in other course so that it is not limited according to the design of the material to be implemented.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat peran penggunaan Jigsaw Puzzles dan menghasilkan lintasan belajar siswa menggunakan pendekatan PMRI dari tahap informal ke tahap formal untuk kelas IV. Tujuan tersebut secara bertahap adalah untuk melihat kemampuan siswa dalam menentukan konsep Faktor Persekutuan terbesar (FPB) dan menyelesaikan masalah soal cerita berkaitan Faktor Persekutuan terbesar (FPB). Metode yang digunakan adalah design research dengan tahap preliminary design, teaching experiment, dan retrospective analysis. Dalam penelitian ini, terdiri dari instruksi dan konjektur pembelajaran didesain dan dikembangkan berdasarkan hipotesis pembelajaran dan menggunakan pendekatan PMRI. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 22 siswa kelas IV.A SD Negeri 55 Pagaralam. Penelitian ini menghasilkan Learning Trajectory yang memuat serangkaian proses pembelajaran dalam dua aktivitas yaitu menemukan konsep FPB dan menyelesaikan masalah soal cerita berkaitan dengan FPB. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran media Jigsaw Puzzles menggunakan pendekatan PMRI dapat membantu siswa memahami konsep materi FPB.

Abstract

This service uses the Pretest Posttest Design design. The purpose of this service is to determine the effect of contextual teaching and learning (CTL) learning models on student learning outcomes on cube material with the context of tofu in grade VIII? Data collection uses documentation and test methods. The data is processed using the t test statistical test. Based on data analysis, the average value of experimental class students is 83.90 and control class 73.11. From the average value obtained by students, it can be seen that mathematics learning using contextual teaching and learning (CTL) learning models with context knows that it has a positive effect on student learning outcomes on cube material

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the effect of using PowerPoint animation and Prezi usage on student learning outcomes and compare the differences between student learning outcomes using PowerPoint animation and Prezi. The method used is an experimental method with the Pattern Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population in this study was all undergraduate students of Mathematics Education Study Program semester II at STKIP Muhammadiyah Pagaralam with a sample of two classes. Data collection techniques used are documentation and tests. Test data were analyzed through normality test calculation, homogeneity test, average one test and two average test with calculation using SPSS for windows. The results showed that there is an influence of using PowerPoint animation with ρ value 0.000 and Prezi ρ value 0.032 with student learning results and there is a difference between student learning outcomes using PowerPoint animation with Prezi with ρ value 0.006. In conclusion, there is a significant influence of the use of PowerPoint and Prezi animations on student learning outcomes and there are noticeable differences between the learning outcomes of students using PowerPoint animation and Prezi. The average student learning outcomes using PowerPoint animation are better than Prezi's. Keywords: PowerPoint animation, Learning Outcomes, Prezi

Abstract

This study aims to determine 1) the student's activity during the implementation of PBL models and 2) student learning outcomes after the implementation of PBL models through the creation of grass park on the material circle in class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Pagaralam. This research is an experimental research category one shot case study involving 32 students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Pagaralam. The results showed that the activity of students during the loading applied to the model PBL through grass park is categorized as very active seen from the activity of visual, verbal, listening, metrics, and writing. While student learning outcomes after the implementation of the PBL model through the creation of grass park are categorized very well as indicated by the average value of students. Thus, the PBL model is very suitable for use in mathematics, especially in the area of a circle of matter.

Abstract

The aims of this study to determine student learning outcomes in mathematical logic material after the application of logic pipe props. This research was conducted in class X.3 of SMA Muhammadiyah Pagaralam. The research method used was the experimental method with the category of one group pretest posttest design. Data collection techniques used in this study was documentation, observation, interviews, and tests. From the results of the study it can be seen that student learning outcomes in mathematical logic material using logical pipe props can be said good. This can be seen during the learning process through observation and the Student Worksheet that is done by students. In these learning activities, students in the group are active in completing the Student Worksheet and students look skilled in using the logic pipe props, so students can find out for themselves the concepts of conjunction, disjunction, implications and implications. In addition, student learning outcomes that can be seen from the post test results are classified as having a high average where the average post test score of students is 83.00. From the average score obtained by students and the activeness of students in the learning process, it can be concluded that the logical pipe props are well used in learning mathematical logic material.

Abstract

Tujuan dari kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru dan calon guru matematika dalam menganalisis instrumen tes dan data hasil penelitian menggunakan SPSS. Metode yang digunakan berupa pelatihan atau workshop dengan memberikan materi dan praktek. Khalayak sasaran dalam kegiatan ini ada guru dan calon guru matematika di Kota Pagaralam dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 33 orang. Hasil dari kegiatan PkM ini ditunjukkan dengan: 1) meningkatnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru dan calon guru matematika dalam menganalisis instrumen tes menggunakan SPSS; 2) meningkatnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru dan calon guru matematika dalam menganalisis data hasil penelitian menggunakan SPSS. Dengan adanya kegiatan ini guru dan calon guru matematika merasakan bahwa pentingnya mempunyai keterampilan dalam menggunakan SPSS yang memudahkan dalam pengolahan data.
