Abstract

Mutual Fund is one investment instruments, especially for small scale investor who doesn’t have many time and expertise to calculate the risk over their investment. Because through mutual fund, an investor could reliance his fund to be managed by investor management in which to be diversified broadly in order to give business advantage for the investor. Mutual fund fixed revenue is accumulative society fund which is invested in to encumber, generally in form of obligation. Mutual fund share is accumulative fund which is invested in to the combination between encumber and share with allocation that cannot be categorized in to mutual fund money market, mutual fund fix revenue, and mutual fund share. Performance analysis method for mutual fund can use risk adjusted return method, because performance measurement not only evaluated from the amount of mutual fund but also the risk that involved on it. Result of performance analysis of mutual fund in Indonesia, in year evaluated between 2004 – 2007 can be described as follows in general, mutual fund performance according to Sharpe, Treynor, Jensen methods shows that in under perform position, only in 2004, 2005,2006 according to Jensen and Treynor methods shows that Schorder Prestasi Plus, Capital TRIM and Fortis Pesona who has out perform position. Mutual fund performance that in under performance offer 2004 – 2007 was caused by highly return risk free condition in Indonesia. Lack of knowledge of Indonesian investor about mutual fund was the main problem.

Abstract

Investor can make hedging to the systematic risk or market risk by using LQ45 index futures contract whose value comparable to the share portfolio value they have. This research had the purpose to prove used the LQ45 index futures contract in minimize the portfolio systematic risk. In this research used LQ45 index as the proxy on the portfolio have been properly diversified. Data used in this research were LQ45 index daily value data and the daily closing price of LQ45 index futures with 2004-2005 research period. Testing was conducted by comparing the portfolio return hedged variance to the portfolio return unhedged variance. Calculation of hedging effectiveness used LQ45 index futures contract as much as -9%, negative hedging effectiveness calculation due to the portfolio return hedged variance larger than portfolio return unhedged variance or, in the other words the risk in the futures market was larger than the risk in the spot market. Thus, the LQ45 index futures contract was ineffective to use as the hedging strategy in minimize the portfolio systematic risk.

Abstract

Pelaku bisnis online pada umumnya memanfaatkan media sosial untuk memasarkan produknya. Seringkali dijumpai produsen atau pelaku bisnis yang memajang produk maupun harga di laman berbagai macam media sosial. Adanya penipuan yang seringkali terjadi menyebabkan sebagian konsumen tidak percaya melakukan pembelian secara online. Mereka cenderung melakukan pembelian secara offline dengan datang langsung ke toko tempat menjual produk yang mereka inginkan. Hal tersebut mendorong pelaku usaha online yang memasarkan produknya melalui media sosial untuk membuat website. Website yang dibuat menyediakan fasilitas peta lokasi sehingga dapat meningkatkan kepercayaan konsumen. Adanya website maka diharapkan akan menunjang kelancaran usaha pelaku bisnis online. Melalui website, pelaku bisnis online dapat melakukan promosi maupun meningkatkan pangsa pasar dan penjualannya. Adapun luaran kegiatan PKM ini adalah berupa media belanja menggunakan teknologi informasi secara on line yaitu website. Dengan adanya website ini diharapkan pelaku usaha dapat menjangkau pangsa pasar yang lebih luas dan dapat meningkatkan penjualan. Hasil kegiatan PKM ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan aktivitas pelatihan ini motivasi para pelaku usaha online untuk meningkatkan kegiatan usahanya melalui website sangatlah tinggi ditunjukkan dengan adanya beberapa website yang telah dihasilkan oleh para pelaku usaha yang menjadi responden kegiatan PKM ini.   Kata kunci: bisnis online, website, pangsa pasar

Abstract

Trademark as an activity to make a name, symbol or identity to distinguish one product/service from another product/service. Therefore, entrepreneurs/business owners/startup founders need to consider how brands are for products/services that they want to sell. With a brand, the total value of the product is higher so that consumers can see the brand as an important part of the product. Consumers will more easily differentiate company products from competitors through brands. However, the importance of giving brand to the product was not realized by SMEs who were in Ngawen and Randuboto Villages, Sidayu District, Gresik Regency. Their only focus is product sales. Brands can be a long-term investment for business owners. Brands that are well managed by business owners will provide long-term benefits. The purpose of this outreach program is to provide training on how to make a good brand so that it can be easily recognized by the general public. The outputs of this outreach program activity are brand designs that are ready to be printed and pasted on the product packaging of business actors. The results of this outreach program activity show that several business actors have been able to create attractive brands so that they can be easily recognized by consumers and ultimately create an identity for SME products in Sidayu District, Gresik

Abstract

The research of this study investigates financial management behaviour among the user of the Paylater in Surabaya. It also analyzes the relationship between financial socialization, financial knowledge, financial experience, and locus of control as a mediating variable. This research is conclusive causality, used purposive sampling and snowball sampling techniques. The total number of respondents obtained was 234 respondents by distributing questionnaires online. Data analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis technique in the AMOS software. The results show that financial knowledge significantly impacts financial management behaviour, while financial socialization, financial experience, and locus of control do not affect financial management behaviour. The mediation testing result shows that locus of control cannot mediate between financial knowledge and financial management behaviour. Because the sample dominant is the student and age range between 15 and 24, almost all of them still have income from their parents, so they can not manage financial independence to the greatest extent and do not have much experience related to finance. It was also caused by female respondents who often engage in impulsive buying. This study could be helpful to references for various parties, especially Paylater users, to be responsible for making financial decisions and wise in managing their finances.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of attitude toward behavior, subjective norm, perceived behavioral control, and risk tolerance on investment intention of Surabayanese in peer to peer lending. This study is conclusive causality research with quantitative research data using a purposive sampling method and a random sampling method to get samples. Data in this study obtained by a questionnaire with a Likert scale. The sample used in this study were 200 Surabaya’s workforce. The analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis using the SPSS program. The result is based on hypothesis testing that shows that attitude toward behavior and risk tolerance significantly influences investment intention. While the subjective norm and perceived behavioral control do not affect investment intention. It is because of the distribution respondents that dominated by young people that have age between 18-25 years. The respondents have a low belief in their social relations. It was also caused by respondents who have less information about fintech P2P lending which come up in Indonesia in 2016 and classified as a new type of investment.

Abstract

Investment activity in Indonesia steadily increases as more people become aware of the investment's value and potential returns. This study aims to determine the impact of status quo bias, herding behavior, representation, and mental accounting on the investment decisions of millennial investors in Surabaya. This study is conclusive because it used purposive and snowball sampling techniques to obtain samples by distributing online questionnaires—the research sample as many as 241 respondents. The analysis technique uses Structural Equation Model (SEM). This study focuses on millennial investors registered with the Indonesian Central Securities Depository (KSEI) and securities firms in Surabaya. The findings suggest that the variables status quo and regret aversion significantly bias investment decisions, whereas herding behavior, representativeness, and mental accounting do not affect investment decisions. Thus, this study can assist various parties, particularly millennial investors, pay more attention to their biases and be more cautious when making investment decisions

Abstract

The use of the internet has now become a necessity in everyday life. E-commerce is the sale, purchase, marketing of goods or services through electronic systems or the internet. This study aims to determine the effect of financial literacy and financial attitude on financial management behaviour as a mediator for e-commerce users in Surabaya. The type of data used in this study is quantitative data and uses primary data. The number of samples used was 218 respondents with criteria for e-commerce users included in the top 10 e-commerce that dominated the Indonesian online market, residing in the city of Surabaya, and aged 18 to 35 years. This study's data collection instrument was the distribution of questionnaires online. The data analysis technique in this research uses the Path Analysis technique of the Complex Model using AMOS version 23. The results of this study are that financial literacy influences financial management behaviour. Financial attitude does not affect financial management behaviour because based on age that is still not fully able to manage their finances very well. Financial literacy and financial management behaviour affect financial satisfaction. Financial attitude does not affect financial satisfaction because respondents still do not have their income or their income level is not too high. Financial management behaviour mediates financial literacy for financial satisfaction. Financial management behaviour does not mediate financial attitude towards financial satisfaction.

Abstract

Finance is one of the factors in the development of a business. Therefore, the entrepreneur should be able to handle finances well to reach business purposes. Based on the previous studies, the purpose of this research is to determine the effect of several factors such as financial literacy, financial knowledge, financial attitude, income, and financial self-efficacy on financial management behavior. The research sample is 211 entrepreneur who has graduated from college in Surabaya. This research used conclusive causality research with primary data. The sampling technique used purposive sampling and snowball sampling method, and data distribution using an online questionnaire. SEM (Structural Equation Model) used for data analysis technique and using AMOS 24. The hypothesis showed that financial knowledge, income, and financial self-efficacy did not affect financial management behavior, but financial literacy and financial attitude influence financial management behavior. Therefore, the entrepreneur needs to improve financial literacy and financial attitude to manage finance on the business better.
