Abstract

Trademark as an activity to make a name, symbol or identity to distinguish one product/service from another product/service. Therefore, entrepreneurs/business owners/startup founders need to consider how brands are for products/services that they want to sell. With a brand, the total value of the product is higher so that consumers can see the brand as an important part of the product. Consumers will more easily differentiate company products from competitors through brands. However, the importance of giving brand to the product was not realized by SMEs who were in Ngawen and Randuboto Villages, Sidayu District, Gresik Regency. Their only focus is product sales. Brands can be a long-term investment for business owners. Brands that are well managed by business owners will provide long-term benefits. The purpose of this outreach program is to provide training on how to make a good brand so that it can be easily recognized by the general public. The outputs of this outreach program activity are brand designs that are ready to be printed and pasted on the product packaging of business actors. The results of this outreach program activity show that several business actors have been able to create attractive brands so that they can be easily recognized by consumers and ultimately create an identity for SME products in Sidayu District, Gresik

Abstract

This research examines the cointegration of macroeconomic variables and the Dow Jones Industrial Average Index toward IHSG. The Sampling data used is non probability sampling techniques by using historical monthly data from January 2015 to December 2019. The method used in this study are Augmented Dickey-Fuller Test for stationarity test, Johansen Test for Cointegration, and Error Correction Model for short-term relationships with eviews 10. The findings showed that DJIA Index not cointegrated with IHSG because investors are more responsive to global market and domestic sentiment. Exchange rates not cointegrated with the IHSG because exchange rate and IHSG movements do not always had a negative relationship. Interest rates are not cointegrated with IHSG because most of the sectors in the IDX affected by external sentiment than interest rates. Meanwhile, inflation have a cointegration relationship but does not have a short-term relationship with IHSG because inflation is generally known as a continuous increase in the price of goods as a whole. Crude oil have a cointegration relationship but does not have a short-term relationship with IHDG, which implies that an increase or decrease in crude oil in the short term can not affect IHSG.

Abstract

The development of corporate Sukuk in recent years has continued to show a significant increase in both the number of Sukuk issuers and investors of Sukuk instruments. This study aims to identify the determinants of financial factors and corporate governance factors on the Sukuk rating. The type of data used in this research is quantitative data from secondary sources. The purposive sampling method is used with criteria specifically non-financial companies issuing Sukuk circulating on the IDX and Sukuk ratings were issued by PT Pefindo. The data consist of 93 Sukuk issuances from 2010 to 2019. Ordinal logistic regression model with SPSS version 26 is then used to ascertain the significant determinants of Sukuk rating. This study found that financial factors such as liquidity, leverage, profitability, and firm size affect the Sukuk rating. However, company growth does not affect the Sukuk rating because the growth of company assets is not followed by the growth of intangible assets such as the quality of human resources. Corporate governance factors that affect the Sukuk rating are managerial ownership and independent commissioners. Meanwhile, the audit committee does not affect the Sukuk rating because the number of audit committee members does not increase the company's performance.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effects of capital expenditure, leverage, managerial ownership, institutional ownership, and corporate social responsibility on firm value. We use Tobin’s Q as the proxy of firm value. Our sample firms are 11 mining firms listed in the Indonesian Stock Exchange for years 2011-2014. We generate our date from the official website of the Indonesian Stock Exchange. We run the multiple linear regression to analyze our data statistically. The results show that all independent variables simultaneously affect corporate value. Individual results indicate that managerial ownership (leverage) positively (negatively) affects firm value. However, other independent variables (institutional ownership and CSR) exhibit no significant influence on firm value. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh capital expenditure, leverage, kepemilikan manajerial, kepemilikan institusional, dan Corporate Social Responsibility terhadap nilai perusahaan yang diproksikan dengan Tobin’s Q pada perusahaan sektor pertambangan yang terdaftar di BEI periode 2011-2014. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari website resmi BEI. Pengamatan dilakukan terhadap 11 perusahaan sebagai sampel yang didapat dari teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian secara simultan seluruh variabel independen berpengaruh terhadap nilai perusahaan. Hasil secara parsial menunjukkan bahwa variabel leverage berpengaruh negatif terhadap nilai perusahaan, kepemilikan manajerial berpengaruh positif terhadap nilai perusahaan, sedangkan kepemilikan institusional dan CSR tidak berpengaruh terhadap nilai perusahaan.

Abstract

The widespread use of sharia products and instruments encourages society to save funds in sharia banks. The main purpose of this research is to test the effect of financial literacy, profit sharing, knowledge of customers, gender, age, education, income to saving decisions. The type of research is quantitative research by using a non-probability sampling method with snowball sampling and purposive sampling technique to get a sample of 230 respondents. The object of this research was sharia bank's customers in Surabaya. The data obtained by spreading the questionnaire online and offline contains 41 items of statement and question. The data analysis technique is multiple linear regression that calculated by software package used for the analysis of statistical data. The result found that financial literacys of customer has medium effect about 72.1% to their saving decision. The higher level of customers financial literacy increases their ability to manage finance and saving. Meanwhile, profit-sharing has an effect to saving decision, as the higher level of profit sharing will raise societys interest for saving in sharia bank. Otherwise, customer knowledge and demographic factors (gender, age, education and income) have no effect to their saving decision.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to empirically prove the effect of firm size, receivable turnover, debt ratio, inventory turnover, and working capital turnover on liquidity as well as changes during the covid-19 pandemic. The object of this research is taken from the agricultural sector and consumer goods which enlisted on IDX period quarterly IV 2019, quarterly I-II 2020. This type of research is quantitative and used secondary data which consists of a quarterly financial report on IDX. The samples are obtained by using the purposive sampling method and produced 75 samples of industry. The research uses the panel data regression analysis method. Based on the result of panel data regression analysis indicated that only the debt ratio has a negative significant relation to liquidity. Firm size, receivable turnover, inventory turnover and working capital turnover aren’t significant because increase or decrease in these variables do not affect the level of liquidity. During the covid-19 pandemic, there was no change in the relationship between each independent variable on liquidity.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membuktikan secara empiris pengaruh ukuran perusahaan, perputaran piutang, rasio hutang, perputaran persediaan, dan perputaran modal kerja terhadap likuiditas serta perubahan selama pandemi covid-19. Objek penelitian ini diambil dari sektor pertanian dan consumer goods yang terdaftar di BEI periode triwulan IV 2019 sampai dengan triwulan I-II 2020. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dan menggunakan data sekunder yang terdiri dari laporan keuangan triwulanan di BEI. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling dan menghasilkan 75 sampel perusahaan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode analisis regresi data panel. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa hanya rasio hutang yang berpengaruh signifikan negatif terhadap likuiditas. Ukuran perusahaan, perputaran piutang, perputaran persediaan dan perputaran modal kerja tidak signifikan karena kenaikan atau penurunan variabel tersebut tidak mempengaruhi tingkat likuiditas. Selama pandemi Covid-19, tidak ada perubahan hubungan antara masing-masing variabel independen terhadap likuiditas.

Abstract

Pelaku bisnis online pada umumnya memanfaatkan media sosial untuk memasarkan produknya. Seringkali dijumpai produsen atau pelaku bisnis yang memajang produk maupun harga di laman berbagai macam media sosial. Adanya penipuan yang seringkali terjadi menyebabkan sebagian konsumen tidak percaya melakukan pembelian secara online. Mereka cenderung melakukan pembelian secara offline dengan datang langsung ke toko tempat menjual produk yang mereka inginkan. Hal tersebut mendorong pelaku usaha online yang memasarkan produknya melalui media sosial untuk membuat website. Website yang dibuat menyediakan fasilitas peta lokasi sehingga dapat meningkatkan kepercayaan konsumen. Adanya website maka diharapkan akan menunjang kelancaran usaha pelaku bisnis online. Melalui website, pelaku bisnis online dapat melakukan promosi maupun meningkatkan pangsa pasar dan penjualannya. Adapun luaran kegiatan PKM ini adalah berupa media belanja menggunakan teknologi informasi secara on line yaitu website. Dengan adanya website ini diharapkan pelaku usaha dapat menjangkau pangsa pasar yang lebih luas dan dapat meningkatkan penjualan. Hasil kegiatan PKM ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan aktivitas pelatihan ini motivasi para pelaku usaha online untuk meningkatkan kegiatan usahanya melalui website sangatlah tinggi ditunjukkan dengan adanya beberapa website yang telah dihasilkan oleh para pelaku usaha yang menjadi responden kegiatan PKM ini. Abstract

This study examines students' financial behaviour from the economics faculty at a private university in Surabaya and analyses the relationship between college learning, financial knowledge, behaviour control, parents' income, and personal income. The object of this research is the student in Surabaya and data collection techniques using purposive sampling. The total number of respondents obtained is 278 by distributing online questionnaires. This research is conclusive causality and uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis technique in AMOS software version 24. This study showed that college learning, financial knowledge, behaviour control, parents' income, and personal income significantly affect financial behaviour. It proves that knowledge of money affects considering financial expenditures, and reasonable behavioural control can control buying behaviour, and the more income increases, the more financial expenses will increase. This study can be a valuable reference for various parties, mainly students, who must begin to learn to organise and make decisions in managing their finances. A person's sense of responsibility in their financial behaviour will help them make good money decisions by budgeting, saving, controlling spending, investing, and paying debts on time.

Abstract

This study exmines the factors that affect the profitability of the national commercial banks. This study used data 32 commercial banks that go pulic in Indoesia Stock Exchange period 2010-2014. Sampling was done by purposive sampling method. This study used multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS 20. Independent variable of this study is Liquidity (LDR) and Asset Quality (NPL).The results of the study explain that Liquidity is a positive effects on Profitability. Liquidity be a measure of the success a bank to obtain high profitability. The lower the LDR reflects the bank has not been able to optimize third-party funds (DPK), which will be distributed to customers as a credit. Asset Quality negatively affect Profitability. High-Quality assets in a bank means more credit problems experienced by banks and will result in losses in the bank.

Abstract

Stock splits or stock split is to break a piece of stock into n shares so that the new price per share after the stock split is 1 / n of the previous price.This study aims to investigate the market reaction to the announcement of the stock split the company listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange Period 2012-2013. The market reaction is indicated by the presence or absence of abnormal return differences, trading volume activity, and bid-ask spreads before and after the stock split announcement.Type of research is a study of events (event study).The study sample as many as 17 companies based on purposive sampling.Testing is done with a period of 5 days before and 5 after the announcement of the stock split.The technique of data analysis performed using paired sample t-test on abnormal returns while Wilcoxon signed ranks test on trading volume activity and bid-ask spreads.
