Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months to meet the nutritional needs of infants have an important role to the nutritional status of infants. The purpose of the study was to find out the relationship between history of exclusive breastfeeding toward infant’s nutritional status for 6 to 12 months in Payung Sekaki Health Center working area. This study was descriptive correlation with cross sectional approach. The samples in this study were mothers and infants from 6 to 12 months with 94 respondents by using cluster sampling technique. The analyzes were univariate and bivariate using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. The results showed that the majority of respondents were 6-month-old as much as 23.4% with normal birth weight of 96.9%. Maternal age was early adult as much as 86,2% with high school education as much as 72,3%. 69.1% of mothers did not work. The history of exclusive breastfeeding as much as 54.3% and baby's nutritional status is in normal nutrition as much as 85.1%. The results of the analysis showed that infants with a history of exclusive breastfeeding tend to have normal nutritional status of 92.2% more than malnutrition and overweight.   Based on the results of statistical tests it showed that there was no relationship between history of exclusive breastfeeding toward infant’s nutritional status for 6 to 12 months (p value = 0.868). The results of this study recommend health workers to provide health education about exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months.   Keywords: Exclusive breastfeeding, infant, nutritional status.

Abstract

A nurse in Mental Hospital that was treating patients at risk of violent behavior to accept violence from patients. Violent behavior exhibited by the patient in the from of verbal violence or physical violence, so it will give rise to a different perception on each nurse. In addition, it does not cover the possibility will arise a feeling fear and anxiety on the nurse when treatment for the patients of violent behavior. This research aimed to find out the correlation between the nurse perception about the violent behavior and their anxiety level in providing the treatment in Tampan Mental Hospital, Riau. The research used the correlative descriptive with cross sectional approach as the research design while the respondent was selected with using the total sampling techniques. The respondent of this research consist of 70 nurses. The researcher also used questionnaires which is related with the perception and the anxiety level of nurses to collect the data. After analyzed the data with using kolmogorof-smirnov test, the result shown that 0,233 as p value is bigger than 0,05 as alpha. Therefore, it can be concluded there is no correlation between the nurses perception about the patient with violent behavior and the anxiety level of nurses. Based on the research findings, add insights the nurses about are expected to capable in developing positive perspective and controlling their anxiety in order to provide the better treatment for the patients.Keywords : Anxiety, Perception, Violent Behavior

Abstract

Air Susu Ibu (ASI) merupakan makanan yang ideal untuk bayi terutama pada enam bulan pertama kehidupannya. ASI mengandung semua zat gizi yang dibutuhkan untuk pertumbuhan dan perkembangan bayi. Kebaikan dan mutu ASI akan menjadi berkurang apabila jumlah ASI yang dihasilkan ibu tidak sesuai dengan kebutuhan bayi. Berdasarkan hal diatas peneliti berminat untuk meneliti hubungan antara pemberian ASI eksklusif dan ASI non eksklusif terhadap tumbuh kembang bayi. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi korelatif dan sampel diambil dengan teknik consecutive sampling. Bayi yang disusui dengan ASI eksklusif (n=50 orang) dibandingkan dengan kelompok bayi yang tidak disusui dengan ASI eksklusif atau dibantu dengan susu formula (n=50 orang). Indikator pertumbuhan bayi menggunakan grafik pertumbuhan bayi pada KMS (Kartu Menuju Sehat) dan indikator perkembangan bayi menggunakan menggunakan Kuesioner Pra Skrining Perkembangan (KPSP). Tidak ada perbedaan yang bermakna antara pilihan pola menyusui (eksklusif dan non eksklusif) dengan pertumbuhan bayi (p=0,509). Terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna antara pola menyusui (eksklusif dan non eksklusif) dengan perkembangan anak (p=0,008).
