Abstract

Proses uji tak merusak dengan metode uji ultrasonik digunakan untuk mengukur ketebalan dan posisi cacat dari sampel Carbon Steel dan Stainless Steel dengan menggunakan probe normal dan probe sudut.  Gelombang yang akan ditranmisikan dari probe ke benda uji sebelumnya harus dilapisi dengan kuplan supaya seluruh gelombang dapat diterima pada benda uji. Penggunaan probe juga digunakan pada bahan tertentu yaitu untuk bahan yang permukaannya datar akan menggunakan probe normal dan permukaan yang kasar digunakan probe sudut. Dengan metode ini dapat dihasilkan tebal bahan dan posisi retak pada bahan. Kesulitan dari penelelitian ini lebih spesifik akan ditemukan saat mendeteksi posisi retak pada bahan, karena posisi retak bahan harus menghasilkan data yang akan direpresentasikan dalam bentuk dua dimensi (2D).

Abstract

Keripik Singkong Balado merupakan salah satu produk makanan yang di kemas untuk dijadikan makanan ringan yang diproduksi dari UMKM Ibu Fatmawati. Perlunya inovasi pada produk ini merupakan upaya untuk dapat mempertahankan daya tarik pembeli dan pembeda dengan produk keripik singkong lainnya untuk dapat meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan yang berdampak pada peningkatan penjualan produk. Inovasi yang dikembangkan yaitu melakukan perbaikan kemasan keripik singkong dengan menggunakan metode Quality Function Deployment (QFD). Metode QFD dipilih karena dengan metode ini bisa didapatkan atribut kebutuhan konsumen (whats) yang nantinya akan disesuaikan dengan respon teknis (hows) dari produsen. Selain itu, alasan penggunaan metode ini adalah konsumen dapat terlibat langsung dalam perbaikan desain kemasan Keripik Singkong Balado, sehingga menjamin kemasan yang baru dapat memuaskan konsumen. Hasil dari penelitian ini dengan menggunakan analisa metode QFD menunjukan bahwa atribut (whats) yang di inginkan konsumen untuk kemasan Keripik Singkong Balado yaitu desain kemasan, bahan kemasan, ukuran kemasan, bentuk kemasan, label kemasan, dan kepraktisan. Respon teknis yang harus dilakukan oleh produsen adalah membuat perubahan desain kemasan visual yang modern berisika informasi produk, mudah disimpan dan kualitas produk terjamin, serta tidak mudah rusak dengan variasi ukuran dan bentuk fisik yang simpel. Rancangan desain kemasan Keripik Singkong Balado yang dibuat adalah kapasitas kemasan 250gram dan 350gram dengan bahan kemasan yang digunakan adalah aluminium foil standing pouch, ditambahkan dengan desain grafis perpaduan warna merah cerah agar dapat menarik minat konsumen dan meningkatkan penjualan Keripik Singkong Balado.

Abstract

The development of the industry that is increasingly making businesses try to be competitive by increasing technical knowledge and improving systems both internally and externally. PDCA is a quality management system that is used as a continuous improve­ment tool that is widely used in the service and manufacturing sectors. PDCA activities consist of four steps namely Plan, Do, Check, and Action with repeated stages forming like a circle. PDCA is a continuous improvement tool that is widely used in the services and manufacturing sector. The cycle of PDCA begins with small to check possible effects on systems, but then eventually progresses to larger and more specific improvements. The results of the implementation PDCA method can be used to solve the problems of qualitative and quantitative data problems that have been widely applied in the service and manufacturing sectors for continuous improvement and as a work pattern in improving a process or system in an organization and increasing productivity. The method used in this research is the literature review research paper has been published in 2015-2020 that have consistently applied the PDCA cycle. The result of this literature review is to describe the relationship between thinking or gaps in theoretical and practical thinking about the application of the PDCA method and the successful implementation in the service and manufacturing sectors as a contribution to further research.

Abstract

The Six Sigma approach has received a lot of attention in various industrial sectors from the manufacturing industry to the service industry. More specific knowledge about Six Sigma has grown rapidly. Much of the training and research on Six Sigma is carried out in various industries and university. This literature review related to Six Sigma purpose to provide an overview of Six Sigma implementation in the manufacturing industries.  The Six Sigma approach that has been introduced and implemented for a long time is DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control). This paper discusses the published literature related to Six Sigma ranging from 2015 to 2020. This paper involves the study review of 50 papers related to the implementation of Six Sigma of known database search including Elsevier, Science Direct, Emerald Insight and Google Scholars. This literature review contains results from a variety of different perspectives. The perspective includes the focus of the industry, the focus of the number of distribution by country, the focus of the year of publication and the focus of the number of publishers. In fact, this is useful for all types of manufacturing industries to find solutions to problems. The paper also provides advantages for researchers next to add to the literature.

Abstract

The development of science and technology and the factors of the ASEAN economic community (MEA) which are supported by increasing industry 4.0, the government gives important responsibilities for universities to be able to produce human resources that can compete in that era. This affects universities to continue to improve in terms of the quality of learning, service quality, to provide satisfaction to students which has an influence on the productivity of higher education. In this regard, research was conducted on 120 samples of student respondents (active students, and alumni) who were used to provide information by distributing questionnaires processed by Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) - Partial Least Square (PLS). Based on the results of the analysis and discussion it can be concluded that service quality has a positive effect on student satisfaction and positively influences the productivity of higher education.

Abstract

The development of digitalization has a positive impact to opportunity expand an innovation as a form of continuous improvement. One of the manufacturing companies, PT TCH, wants to implement Industry 4.0 innovation with the thought of integrating data and analytics supply chains. One of its applications is labeling error with a proportion value of 66% with an average error of 328 by creating a warning system for the Kanban system through the application of Quality Control Circle (QCC). The improvements made applying concepts Plan, Do, Check, and Action (PDCA) analysis by making improvements to the labeling system created from the PO database in marketing and creating a visualization of parts to help leverage product suitability. The results showed improvement with the decrease in cycle time from 265 seconds to 215 seconds and saving the cost IDR 70.48391 million / year. This research contributes theoretically in demonstrating the success of the application of QCC and in practical terms, it can provide a continuous increase in productivity and an actual decrease in process activities in the company.

Abstract

This paper presents the design and implementation of a poka-yoke system in a stationary spot welding (SSW) production line. The human-based SSW production process in a local automotive component company was considered in this study. Due to the repetitive and fast cycle-time of the production process, human errors are inevitable. Such errors lead to customer claims with the subject company. Based on the data of customer claims, there were three major quality issues (missing nuts, wrong-size nuts, asymmetrical spot weld marks). Due to the production line being manual, control of planned production and actual production was poor, leading to delivery issues (delayed delivery). Together these major issues contributed to 34.7% of customer claims on average from May to December 2018. The objective of this study was to solve the issues in the subject company through design and implementing a poka-yoke system utilizing the internet-of-things (IoT) platform to ensure data acquisition and information storage, and production progress monitoring and data analysis to meet user requirements. The combined approach of the poka-yoke system utilizing IoT in the SSW production line yielded satisfactory results with reduced customer claims to 5.3% for the stated problems from February to May 2019. Hence, the design objective was achieved.

Abstract

This paper aims to explore benchmarking in various industries beyond Indonesia to find the gap between each industry and what makes it different from Indonesia. Benchmarking is recognized as an essential instrument for continuous quality enhancement. In this paper, the author has reviewed 60 articles distributed from 2015 to 2020 in a variety of journal research and journal review. Systematic literature reviews are the approaches used in this study since a precise, consistent, and clear methodology, with a variety of steps, guarantees sufficient rigor and clarity in the literature review process. Authors have a review in multi-perspective to help researchers, academics, and practitioners more deeply understand and take a closer look at the growth, development, and applicability of this technique. Authors have classification the various paper-based on goals and scope of achievement from benchmarking applicable. In Addition, this paper also needs to find a better solution from each gap of benchmarking in the pandemic situation with the industry 4.0 approach

Abstract

Media pembelajaran merupakan wahana penyalur pesan dan informasi belajar yang salah satunya dapat berupa maket. Maket merupakan miniatur tiruan dalam ukuran yang kecil yang bermanfaat untuk mendeskripsikan sebuah tempat atau keadaan, yang akan diciptakan sesuai dengan keinginan. Salah satu Perguruan Tinggi Swasta yang memiliki program studi Teknik Industri memiliki pembelajaran yang memerlukan maket dalam menggambarkan keadaan industri secara real. Maket ini diperlukan untuk menggambarkan kebutuhan proses, alur produksi, kebutuhan mesin, kebutuhan manusia, tata letak, dan lain sebagainya. Proses perancangan maket yang dibuat pada penelitian ini menggunakan studi kasus proses industri mold dengan menggunakan tipe layout aliran produksi. Aliran produksi ini digunakan untuk menggambarkan secara jelas kebutuhan urutan proses dan operasi produksi di industri mold. Perancangan maket yang dilakukan menggunakan mesin 3D printing. Penggunaan 3D printing ini juga menunjang penerapan industri 4.0 pada penguasaan additive technology.

Abstract

PT XYZ merupakan perusahaan yang menerapkan sistem Produksi Just In Time(JIT) artinya memenuhi kebutuhan pelanggan tepat pada waktunya sesuai denganjumlah yang di kehendakinya. Hal yang menjadi pertimbangan penelitian inidilakukan karena ada permasalahan pada bagian produksi khususnya productivityproduk pada proses area LR Bending mesin 221 tidak mencapai target PO dari customer. Maka dari itupeneliti akan melakukan penelitian yang berjudul “Peningkatan Produktivitas PartX pada mesin Bending LR 221 dengan metode PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Action”yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas agar target plan dari pelanggantercapai. Metode penelitian tugas akhir ini menggunakan metode PDCA 8 steps yaitu yang pertama menentukan tema, kedua analisa kondisi, ketiga menetapkan target, keempat analisa penyebab, kelima rencana penanggulangan, keenam penanggulangan, ketujuh evaluasi hasil, yang terakhir standarisasi dan tindak lanjut. Hasil dari penelitian yaitu produktivitas meningkat dari 56pcs/jam menjadi 75pcs/jam.
