Abstract

Usia sekolah merupakan usia penting dalam pertumbuhan dan perkembangan fisik anak. Salah satunya adalah kebiasaan menjaga kebersihan gigi dan mulut. Penduduk Bali yang mempunyai masalah gigi dan mulut tertinggi di Kota Denpasar sebesar 20,5%. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh edukasi film dengan perilaku menggosok gigi pada anak usia 6-8 tahun. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Experiment Design yaitu Pretest-Posttest with Control Group Design yang dilakukan pada 60 sampel dengan teknik Cluster Sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mengukur perilaku menggosok gigi menggunakan lembar kuesioner dan observasi perilaku menggosok gigi. Penelitian ini menggunakan uji hipotesis Wilcoxon Sign Rank dan Mann Whitney Test.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada perbedaan perilaku anak usia 6-8 tahun pada kelompok kontrol dan perlakuan. Hasil uji statistik menggunakan Wilcoxon Sign Rank dan Mann Whitney Test ada pengaruh edukasi film dengan perilaku menggosok gigi pada anak usia 6-8 tahun dengan nilai p value = 0,000 (α=0,05). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, diharapkan pihak sekolah selalu memberikan pelatihan perilaku menggosok gigi untuk meningkatkan perilaku siswa dalam menggosok gigi

Abstract

Abstrak:Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan kesehatan reproduksi wanita melalui pendidikan kesehatan dan demontrasi pemeriksaan payudara sendiri (SADARI). Metode kegiatan menggunakan (1) metode ceramah dan demonstrasi yakni untuk menyampaikan pengetahuan secara umum tentang kanker payudara dan pemeriksaan payudara sendiri (SADARI) disertai dengan sesi tanya jawab dan (2) metode pembelajaran digunakan untuk alih pengetahuan  atau ketrampilan dan system nilai yang dimiliki oleh nara sumber kepada remaja putri. Masalah yang dihadapi di lapangan adalah kurangnya pengetahuan remaja putri tentang pemeriksaan payudara sendiri (SADARI). Pemecahan masalah yang dapat dilakukan dengan pendampingan yaitu memberikan pengetahuan, pemahaman, penyuluhan dan demontrasi.Abstract:  This service activity aims to optimize women's reproductive health through health education and breast self-examination demonstrations (BSE). The activity method uses (1) lecture and demonstration methods, namely to convey general knowledge about breast cancer and breast self-examination (BSE) accompanied by question and answer sessions and (2) learning methods used for knowledge transfer or skills and value systems owned by nara resources for young women. The problem faced in the field is the lack of knowledge of young women about breast self-examination (BSE). Abstract

Introduction: Cardiac arrest is the most pre-hospital emergency cases. Approximately 30.000 people have cardiac arrest in pre-hospital and about 33% have treated with bystander. Basic life support (BLS) with cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is a first aid procedure that needs to be performed in this case. Death could occur within minutes if the first aid does not adequately performed. The study aimed to know the effect of BLS courses on the community knowledge level in the North Denpasar District. Methods: The study was a pre-experimental study with a pre-posttest design. Study participant selected by cluster random sampling technique and 199 participants chosen as study participants. To collect the community knowledge data, a questionnaire employed in this study. American Heart Association (AHA) guideline for the public published in 2015 enrolled as a reference in organizing ten questions in the questionnaire with Guttman Scale. Results: The characteristics of respondents were 27% participants were aged between 30-39 years, 56% graduated from senior high school, 55% work as employees and 90% never attended BLS training program. There was a significant mean difference from the pre-test and post-test data. The mean difference before and after the BLS course were 8.38 and 9.74, respectively. There was a significant correlation between the BLS course and the level of knowledge (p = 0.000). Conclusion: The level of knowledge about BLS before the course was 63%. It classified into a good knowledge level. The level of knowledge about BLS after the course was significantly improved. It increased to 97.5%.
