Bivariate analysis showed aged less than 20 years old and more than 35 years old, lived in rural area and had more than 3 children associated with having unwanted pregnancy. Multivariate analysis showed that respondents who had age less than 20 and more than 35 years old (p=0.0001; OR= 1.826) more likely had unwanted pregnancy. Conclusion: This study showed that woman who had risky reproductive aged, lived in rural area and had children more than 3 were statistically significant with unwanted pregnancy. The risky reproductive aged was the most influenced factor for having unwanted pregnancy. So that, the government must support the National Population and Family Planning Board to promote the use of contraceptive among woman in reproductive aged especially in the risky reproductive aged.

Abstract

Background: Cervical cancer have significant impacts on the quality of life (QOL) of the women experiencing it. Limited studies are exploring QOL among Indonesian women diagnosed with cervical cancer.Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the QOL of women with cervical cancer who received radiation therapy and chemotherapy. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted to evaluate the QOL among 164 women with cervical cancer undergoing treatment. A consecutive sampling technique was used to recruit the samples. The EORTC QLQ-C 30 and QLQ-CX 24 were used to measure the QOL and sexual-related symptoms. The data collected were analyzed and presented as descriptive statistics in the form of means and standard deviations.  Results: The mean of the global health status of general well-being and QOL of the women was 54.56 ± 25.47. In the QOL subgroups of functional status, the physical function (55.94) and role functions (55.34) were most frequently reported to affect QOL. Regarding sexual-related symptoms of the women, sexual worry (52.72) and menopause symptoms (48.03) were the two most prevalent symptoms which impacted QOL.Conclusions: The quality of life of women with cervical cancer in Indonesia was generally at the higher end of the scale, and yet the majority of the women reported high prevalent symptoms of cancer and adverse effects of treatments. Comprehensive, high quality and culturally sensitive care for women with cervical cancer needs to be implemented in Indonesia, which has unique social and cultural beliefs.

The measured variables are knowledge before and after training on 40 cadres. The statistical test used is the Wilcoxon test to see the difference between pretest and posttest results. The results showed an increase in knowledge related to NBC (p = 0,0001), Lactation Management (p = 0,0001) and KMC (p = 0,0001), as well as the attitude of cadres related to KMC before and after training. However, there was no increase in cadre attitudes towards NBC (p = 0,862) and Lactation Management (p = 0,065) before and after training. This study concludes that there is an increase in the value of knowledge and attitudes of posyandu cadres on KMC before and after training. Keywords : The effectiveness of training, cadre, lactation management, kangaroo method care

The purpose of this study was to describe the self-portrait system that causes the sexual risky behavior of adolescents in Jambi Province.Method: This was quantitative research using a cross-sectional design. As much as 661 unmarried male and female adolescents (15-24 years) in Jambi Province involved as the sample of the 2017 IDHS. Data were analyzed using univariate, bivariate, and multivariate analysis. Results: The result showed 68.1% of adolescents performed sexual risky behavior in Jambi Province. The Self-System Factors associated with sexual risky behavior of adolescents were age, knowledge, attitude, and alcohol consumption. The probability of adolescents in the age group of 20-24 years, who have low knowledge, negative attitudes, and consumed alcohol will perform sexual risky behavior of 95.78%. The result of the multivariate analysis found that the most influential variable with sexual risky behavior in adolescents was the attitude. Abstract

Newborn mortality is still quite high in the world, including Indonesia, one of which is caused by complications of premature birth. Kangaroo Method Care (KMC) is one way to keep the newborn’s body temperature warm by making direct contact between the baby’s skin and the mother’s skin. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between knowledge, attitude, and practice of Kangaroo Care Method for mothers with low birth weight (LBW) infants. This study is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional approach. Respondents in this study were mothers who had LBW after treatment from the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Koja, North Jakarta who were domiciled in Koja, Tanjung Priok, and Cilincing Districts, North Jakarta, amounting to 50 people. Data was collected using questionnaires and observations, and analyzed using the Spearman Correlation statistical test. Based on the results of the study, the average score of mother’s knowledge about Kangaroo Care Method was 21.76 (SD 1.06); the average score of the mother’s attitude towards the Kangaroo Care Method is 26.74 (SD 0.80); and the average duration of practice for Kangaroo Care Method is 2.92 hours/day (SD 0.90). Based on the results of observations, it was found that most of the LBW mothers had practiced Kangaroo Method Care by holding the right position from Kangaroo Method Care. Based on the Spearman Correlation statistical test, it was found that there was a relationship between knowledge, attitude, and practice of the Kangaroo Care Method in LBW mothers.

Abstract

Background: The Interprofessional Education (IPE) program is important for preparing health professions students to provide future interprofessional collaborative practice. The Universitas Indonesia Health Sciences Cluster has been implementing the IPE program since 2013. A comprehensive evaluation is required following the implementation of the IPE program. The aim of the study was to evaluate the IPE course based on perceptions of undergraduate students at the Universitas Indonesia from 2013 to 2017. Methods: A mixed-methods study utilizing a semi-structured questionnaire was conducted with first year students following the completion of the first stage of the IPE course. A total of 2355 students (56.35%) from the 2013–2017 academic years completed the questionnaire. Results: The results showed that students’ perceptions of the IPE course improved each year on the domains of clear and relevant learning objectives, student-centered teaching methods, staff support, and supporting infrastructures. However, some room for improvement was identified, such as the need for tutors to have a more neutral attitude toward every student despite their background differences. Conclusion: The IPE course has been well perceived by students because of its comprehensive instructional design and principles of IPE that are implemented in the curriculum. The continuous cycles of improvement to maintain the quality of the IPE program will remain a challenge.
