Abstract

This research aims to study and determine the technique of breaking the dormancy of Jatropha seeds by giving gibberellins (GA3) and various planting positions on the growth of Jatropha seeds in the nursery. The research was carried out from June-August 2020. The experimental design used was a simple randomized block design (RBD) with a combination of GA3 concentrations and seed positions with 18 treatment combinations. Each was repeated 2 times. The results showed that giving gibberellin concentration (GA3) at different planting positions did not have an effect on germination parameters, but it did affect growth parameters. All concentrations of gibberellin (GA3) had no effect on seed germination, seed growth rate and vigor index, but the concentration of 500 mg L-1 at various planting positions had a better effect on plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, fresh weight and plant dry weight. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to reveal the sensitivity of cross-location based on topography by giving different FMA consortiums to physiological growth characteristics in three Jatropha curcass L. cultivars. Based on these objectives, the nature of this research is verification. Experiments were carried out in two different places based on topography. The trial time starts from November 2017 to May 2018. Experiments A simple randomized block design (RBD) pattern consisting of fifteen treatment combinations is repeated twice. The experimental results showed that the dose of 10 gr FMA consortium (glomus sp., Acaulospora sp., Gigaspora sp.). With the same spore density gave the best performance of Jatropha plant growth in two different locations based on topography. Observation of chlorophyll content in leaves (age 21, 63, 21 DAP in two locations), plant height (age 21, 63, 21 DAP in two locations), stem diameter (age 21, 63, 21 DAP in two locations) and number of branches secondary (age 21 DAP in two locations) there was a significant effect on the single factor of giving the FMA consortium but there was no interaction between location and treatment.

Abstract

The current condition is a lot of the transfer of agricultural land functions into housing and industry. Utilization of marginal land is one of the important solutions to be done. One type of marginal soil is inceptisol, with limiting factors for low soil chemical fertility, especially the element P. The element P can become available for plants with the help of AMF. To reveal the performance of plant growth through the combination of three Jatropha cultivars with the best dose of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and cytokinin concentrations on plant photosynthesis results in two different locations. The experiment starts from January 2019 until June 2019 at an altitude of 0-50 meters above sea level (lowlands) and altitudes from 750 to 850 meters above sea level. The combined trial evaluated jatropha cultivar and the best arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi dose and repeated cytokinin concentrations three times. The results of the experimentshowed that there was a significant effect on each treatment and the interaction between the treatments with the best results was the concentration of cytokinin 400 mg L-1 for plant height growth variables, and the concentration of cytokinin 300 mg L-1 for the variable chlorophyll content of leaves, number of leaves, whereas cytokinin concentration 100 mg L-1 for stomatal conduction activity.

Abstract

The aims of the research were to study the growth of plants in the nursery and look for the optimum concentration of H2SO4 solution at certain storage duration that gives the highest dry plant weight in the nursery. Experiments were conducted in the seed laboratory and in the nursery of Faculty of Agriculture, Winaya Mukti University using randomized block design factorial with 2 factors. The first factor was the time and concentration of sulfuric acid solution i.e. Soaking 6 minutes in H2SO4 0.25%, 0.50%, 0.75% and 1.0%. The second factor was seed storage duration i.e. without being stored, 1, 2, and 3 months. The data was analized using linear quadratic regression method. The experimental results showed that there was interaction between seed storage time and concentration of sulfuric acid solution on leaf area and plant dry weight. The treatment without storage time and concentration of 0.75% sulfuric acid solution gave the best effect compared to other treatments. Zero minutes of storage followed with sulfuric acid concentration as much as 0.67% gave the highest dry plant weight of 28.193 g.Key words: Jarak seed, Concentration H2SO4, Seed saving time

Abstract

This research was aimed to examines the effect of gibberellin concentration on germination, growth and yield components of rice varieties in flood prone areas. Based on the objective, the nature of this research was verification by experimental approach in screen house and in the field. The research was conducted in the screen house and in the field of production garden of the Faculty of Agriculture of Winaya Mukti Tanjungsari - Sumedang, with a height of 850 m asl. Experiments used Randomized Completely Block Design as factorial pattern, which consisted of two factors namely four levels of gibberellin concentration and five levels of local rice varieties of West Java. Each treatment was repeated twice, then the total amount: 4 x 5 x 2 = 40 plots. Based on the results of research and discussion that had been described in the previous, it could be drawn conclusions on germination, growth and yield components of flood prone land, including: (1) there was an interaction between the various local rice varieties of West Java and the level of gibberellin concentration to the inundation stress on the ratio of root dump at age 40 day after planting, (2) the concentration of gibberellin 10 mg.L-1 gave the best results on observations for each local varieties of egypt and varieties Mareum on the root-to-dose ratio of 40 days after planting and Varieties of rice plants independently effect the number of sprouts aged day after planting, seed vigor, root length of roots, plant height 40 days after planting, and number of tillers per hump of 40 days after planting.Keywords: Rice varieties, Flooded plains, Giberelin acid

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh cara yang paling tepat guna mempercepat perkecambahan benih jarak dan untuk mempelajari pengaruh kombinasi konsentrasi dan lamanya perendaman pada larutan asam sulfat terhadap viabilitas dan vigor serta pertumbuhan benih jarak di persemaian. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di laboratorium benih dan di kebun produksi tanaman Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Winaya Mukti Tanjungsari, Sumedang dengan ketinggian tempat 850 meter dari permukaan laut. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni 2011 sampai dengan bulan Agustus 2011. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri dari 18 kombinasi perlakuan dan dua ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri dari : A= direndam pada air aquades selama 1 menit, B= direndam air aquades selama 2 menit, C=direndam air aquades selama 3 menit, D=direndam aquades selama 4 menit, E=direndam aquades selama 5 menit, F= direndam aquades selama 6 menit, G=direndam  konsentrasi asam sulfat 0,1% selama 1 menit, H= direndam  konsentrasi asam sulfat 0,1% selama 2 menit, I= direndam  konsentrasi asam sulfat 0,1% selama 3 menit, J= direndam  konsentrasi asam sulfat 0,1% selama 4 menit, K= direndam  konsentrasi asam sulfat 0,1% selama 1 menit, L= direndam  konsentrasi asam sulfat 0,1% selama 6 menit, M= direndam  konsentrasi asam sulfat 0,5 % selama 1 menit, N= direndam  konsentrasi asam sulfat 0,5 % selama 2 menit, O=direndam  konsentrasi asam sulfat 0,5 % selama 3 menit, P=direndam  konsentrasi asam sulfat 0,5 % selama  4 menit, Q= direndam  konsentrasi asam sulfat 0,5 % selama 5 menit, R= direndam  konsentrasi asam sulfat 0,5 % selama 6 menit. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi konsentrasi dan lama perendaman pada larutan asam sulfat berpengaruh terhadap daya kecambah benih dan kecepatan tumbuh benih serta pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman umur 24 HST dan jumlah daun pada umur 17 HST, 24 HST, 31 HST, 38 HST dan 45 HST.  Konsentrasi asam sulfat 0,1 % dan 0,5 % dengan berbagai waktu perendaman meningkatkan daya kecambah benih jarak, dengan kecepatan tumbuh yang lebih baik pada lama perendaman 2 menitsampai 6 menit dan memberikan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap jumlah daun per tanaman dengan perlakuan terbaik ditunjukkan pada perlakuan konsentrasi 0,5% dengan waktu perendaman selama 6 menit.

Abstract

The purpose of the research study the viability and vigor of plants in the nursery and look for the optimum concentration of H2SO4 solution at each storage duration that gives the distance of the highest seed viability in the nursery. Experiments conductedin the seed laboratory and in the nursery Faculty of Agriculture Winaya Mukti University Tanjungsari using randomized block design (RBD) factorial, first factor the time and concentration of sulfuric acid solution: Soaking 6 minutes in H2SO4 0.25%, 0.50%, 0.75% and 1.0%. Factor II is a seed storage duration: without being stored, 1, 2, 3 months. Analysis of the data using linear quadratic regression method. The experimental results show that the interaction between seed storage time and concentration of sulfuric acid solution on seed germination, growth speed of seeds, and seed vigor. Without storage time and concentration of sulfuric acid solution 0.75% gives the best effect compared to other treatments. At the time of storage, followed without the optimum sulfuric acid concentration as much as 0.783% gives the percentage of seed germination was 93.521%.

Abstract

Abstract Pakcoy is a popular vegetable, besides being easy to cultivate, it also contains many benefits. In 2017-2019 Pakcoy production decreased. This is caused by several factors, one of which is the use of planting media and fertilization. The purpose of this experiment was to determine the interaction between the composition of the growing media and the concentration of complementary fertilizers on the growth and yield of pakcoy plants. This experiment was carried out in Sindanglaya Village, Tanjungsiang Disrtict, Subang Regency with an altitude of 700 meters above sea level an average daily temperature of 27.27ºC. The experiment was carried out in July-August 2020. The design used was a factorial randomized block design (RBD) consisting of two factors and repeated twice. The first factor is the composition of the planting medium (M) which consists of four levels, namely: m0 = (soil), m1 = (soil + sheep manure), m2 = (soil + cow manure), m3 = (soil + manure ) chicken). The second factor is the concentration concentration of bayfolan liquid complementary fertilizer (P) which consists of four levels, namely: p1 = (1 ml L-1), p2 = (2 ml L-1), p3 = (3 ml L-1), p4 = (4 ml L-1). The experimental results showed the interaction of planting media and bayfolan liquid complementary fertilizers on wet weight. Soil planting medium + chicken manure (m3) and liquid complementary fertilizer 2 ml L-1 (p2) showed the best results, namely 1.07 kg.

Abstract

Tujuan dari pembuatan makalah ini adalah upaya pengelolaan sumber daya alam pertanian pada budidaya tanaman tembakau berkadar nikotin  rendah tetapi tetap mempertahankan mutu tembakau dengan mengelola teknik pemupukan N dan umur panen daun tembakau, sehingga diperoleh dosis N dan umur panen yang optimal. Selain itu, biaya produksi petani serta reduksi akibat pemupukan N dan P yang berlebihan dapat diturunkan pada batas optimal. Bagian tanaman yang tidak dipanen pun yaitu bagian akar dan batang bisa kembali dijadikan pupuk organik yang diperkirakan mempunyai kandungan N yang tinggi. Salah satu mempertahankan produksi tembakau dengan menjaga mutu tembakau terutama kadar nikotin yang rendah dan kadar gula yang optimal dapat dilakukan pada pemberian Dosis  pupuk N dan  yang optimum dan umur panen daun tembakau. Eksperimen menggunakan metode dalam pengelolaan efisiensi pemberian pupuk N serta umur panen daun tembakau sehingga dapat diperoleh kadar nikotin yang rendah, yaitu dengan pemberian perlakuan Pupuk N berupa Ammonium dalam bentuk ZA dengan dosis pemberian 0 gr/tan sebagai kontrol, 10 gr/tan, 20 gr/tan, 30 gr/tan serta 40 gr/tan. Umur panen daun tembakau mulai hari ke 90 setelah tanam sebagai kontrol, 97 hari hst, 104 hst,  111 hst dan 118 hst.  Hasil percobaan menunjukkan perbedaan waktu pemetikan berpengaruh nyata terhadap kadar nikotin, kadar gula, warna dan rasa, tetapi berpengaruh tidak nyata tehadap aroma dan pegangan, perlakuan waktu pemetikan pada pukul 16.00 menghasilkan tembakau rajangan dengan mutu terbaik ditinjau dari segi warna, aroma, pegangan dan rasa serta mempunyai kadar nikotin 4,49% dan kadar gula (Husniawaty, Nia 1992). Kata Kunci: Produksi Bersih, Efisiensi Dosis Pupuk N, Umur Panen Daun Tembakau Virginia.
