Abstract

This study aims to develop digital literacy instruments for schools, teachers and students whose function is to measure the extent of the digital literacy levels of schools, teachers, and students. It is not possible for a school to follow the development of science and technology if the school's potential is inadequate and its human resources are not ready. Therefore, the development of digital literacy instruments needs to be made in order to identify the level of readiness of schools, teachers and students in facing the digital era in the industrial revolution 4.0. Subjects of the study were 90 respondents consisting of 30 teachers and 60 students in SMA Negeri 14 Pekanbaru. The questionnaire that was made was first validated by 2 expert validators, after being declared valid by the expert validator, then the questionnaire was conducted a limited test to calculate the level of validity and reliability of each question item. The questionnaire uses a Likert scale with 3 categories of answer choices (often, rarely, never or there is, is being planned, no, etc.). Based on the results and conclusions, conclusions can be drawn, namely: the items that can be used as data collection tools on the school digital literacy questionnaire instrument are 23 questions, while the items that can be used as data collection tools on the teacher's digital literacy questionnaire are 52 items and instrument digital student literacy questionnaire as many as 31 questions. Based on the reliability criteria, the three digital literacy questionnaires show high and very high reliability criteria with a reliability level greater than 0.684.

Abstract

Abstrak Peramalan merupakan dugaan terhadap permintaan yang akan datang berdasarkan pada beberapa variabel peramal, sering berdasarkan data deret waktu historis. Kebutuhan manusia akan teknologi khususnya dalam informasi dan telekomunikasi semakin tinggi, salah satunya internet. Jumlah pengguna internet semakin meningkat.  Metode peramalan yang digunakan yaitu weight moving average dan regresi linier. Untuk menghitung error menggunakan MAPE. Didapatkan nilai error yang paling kecil pada saat regresi linier maka peramalan pengguna IndiHome menggunakan metode regresi linier. Peramalan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas layanan. Adapun variabel bebas yang digunakan yaitu data penduduk dan variabel tak bebas yaitu data pelanggan. Peramalan ini disimulasikan menggunakan perangkat lunak Matlab. Dari hasil peramalan ini data pelanggan 10 tahun yang akan datang terus meningkat.  Kata kunci: MAPE, Peramalan, Regresi Linier

Abstract

This study is conducted to: (1) analyze the level of alignment between chemistry content on TIMSS with science-chemistry textbooks of Junior High School and (2) describe the discrepancies between chemistry content on TIMSS with science-chemistry textbooks of Junior High School in term of cognitive demands as well as subject content covered. This study was descriptive which used content analysis method. The content analysis was conducted on chemistry content of TIMSS and science-chemistry textbooks of Junior High School. To determine the degree of alignment criteria, this study used the method developed by Porter. Accordingly, the level of alignment is symbolized by Porter's Alignment Index. The results showed that the degree of alignment between TIMSS and and science-chemistry textbooks of Junior High School was 0.49 (low level of alignment). This imperfect alignment level is characterized by the discrepancies in term of subject content covered and cognitive demands among chemistry content on TIMSS and and science-chemistry textbooks of Junior High School. This can affect certainly toward the achievement of Indonesian students in TIMSS

Abstract

Pembelajaran kimia di SMA X masih belum maksimal sehingga berdampak terhadap hasil belajar yang belum memenuhi KKM yaitu ≥75. Pembelajaran kimia khususnya sistem koloid di SMA X masih terpusat pada kemampuan siswa untuk menghapal tanpa menghubungkannya dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Untuk mengatasi hal ini diterapakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT dan TGT. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh perbedaan hasil belajar sistem koloid dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran NHT dan TGT. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperiman dengan rancangan Randomized Control Group Only Design yang Diperluas. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IA di X, dan sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen 1 (NHT) dan siswa kelas XI IA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen 2 (TGT). Sampel diperoleh dengan menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling. Data diperoleh dari tes hasil belajar kognitif yang diberikan di akhir pembelajaran, dimana soal tes akhir ini telah diujicobakan terlebih dahulu. Data tersebut kemudian dianalisis secara statistik dengan menggunakan uji-t. Hasil analisis data hasil belajar kognitif diperoleh rata-rata kelas eksperimen 1 (NHT) = 81,8 dan kelas eksperimen 2 (TGT) = 80,8. Dari hasil uji-t yang dilakukan pada taraf nyata 0,05 diperoleh thitung = 0,42 dan ttabel = 2,00 (dk=73), terlihat bahwa thitung < ttabel maka H0 diterima sedangkan H1 ditolak, yang artinya kedua kelas sampel tidak memiliki perbedaan yang signifikan. Akan tetapi dapat meningkatakan hasil belajar, hal ini terlihat dari nilai rata-rata kelas sampel yang memenuhi KKM yaitu ≥ 75.

Abstract

Abstract This study was conducted to create and validate the instruments test of prechemistry teacher?s knowledge about health and safety work in laboratory. This instrument will be used to obtain information about prechemistry teacher?s knowledge about health and safety work in laboratory. This research has been conducted using Research and Development (R & D) design that was developed by adopting 4D development model consisting of 4 stages: define, design, develop and dissemination. However, this research only reached the develop stage. Data analysis was performed to test the validity and reliability of the tests. Data processing was performed using IBM-SPSS 20 software. The results of this study showed that the test was valid and was feasible to implement based on the CVI value of 0.847. The reliability test of prechemistry teacher?s knowledge about health and safety work in laboratory was obtained at 0.766, its mean that the reliability of the tests was classified as in high category. Thus this instrument can be used to determine the level of prechemistry teacher?s knowledge about health and safety work in laboratory. Although there are some parts of the instrument need to be revised again.   Keywords : instrument, healthy and safety work, laboratory, reliability, validity

Abstract

This research examined the quality of edible oil from Crude Coconut Oil (CCO) and Palm Coconut Oil (PCO) and their blends with CCO : PCO proportional was about 40:60 and 60:40, respectively. The quality of these samples was based on water proportion, free fatty acid (FFA) and peroxide value (PV) contained. This study was conducted to improve the quality of edible oil. SNI 3741-2013 was used as method of this research, which the result compared with the SNI standard for edible oil. Results of this research for water proportion in oil samples PCO, CCO, CCO (40) : PCO (60) and CCO (60):PCO  (40)  in  order  were  0.000122; 0.010905; 0.001878; 0.030996. The FFA proportions for them were 0.02; 0.01; 0.02; 0.02 and PV values were 7.10; 3.00; 6.10; 5.10, respectively. From this result, we can conclude that all samples had good quality for water proportion and FFA, except for peroxide value (PV) mark which had the higher mark compared to the SNI standard. We also concluded that CCO became the best quality of edible oil compared to others.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and obtain eligible online learning media by using moodle for general chemistry subjects by using moodle. In this study, flash animation and simulation were integrated as online media in moodle to attract students? motivation. The topic in this moodle was a colloidal solution. The method of this study was the research and development method by using ADDIE model. Online learning media was validated by media and chemistry material experts, then the valid media presented to the 24 chemistry education students in Universitas Islam Riau to acquire responses toward online learning media. The results showed that online learning media is eligible and can be used as online learning media in which the average number of expert assessment reached higher than 80% with valid criteria. In addition, students? responses toward online learning media by using moodle is positive in all aspects (interesting design; color, picture, and video preference; creativity and innovation; communication) with the average number of percentage more than 84% (good criteria). Overall, based on the results of online learning media by using moodle for general chemistry subject can be used as learning media to give students experience in online learning

Abstract

Public Elementary School 18 Pekanbaru is one of autonomous adiwiyata school in 2012. The program done in this school is compost production. However, this act had not used effective microorganisms (EM4) so it caused more time consuming and ineffective for plants fertilizer. To overcome this problem, volunteer team conducted compost production training by using effective microorganisms (EM4) for teachers in Public Elementary School 18 Pekanbaru. The purpose of this activity is to increase teachers’ knowledge about making compost by adding effective microorganisms (EM4). Demonstration and practice method was used in this activity. This program was conducted for two days in which the first day for delivering theory information and demonstration/practice about impulse sealer utilization. In the second day was conducted compost production training by using EM4. This activity located in Public Elementary School 18 Pekanbaru was conducted in several steps, namely: preparation step, implementation step, and evaluation step. Based on evaluation questionnaire result which was given to Public Elementary School 18 Pekanbaru teachers obtained information that approximately 72,7% teachers’ knowledge increased after training activity.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between Self Efficacy and peer social support with Self Regulated Learning at Potensi Utama University students. Where the subject of research is a student of Potensi Utama University with a sample of 131 students. Sampling through simple random sampling technique. Data collection is done by using Likert scale which consists of three scale that is Self Efficacy scale, Social Peer Support scale and Self Regulated Learning scale. Data analysis method used is Multiple Regression Analysis. The results obtained that there is a positive relationship between Self Efficacy and social support peers with Self Regulated Learning students of Potensi Utama University. With the value F = 9.511 and the value p = 0.000. Self Efficacy contributes to Self Regulated Learning of 9.3%. Friends' social support contributes to Self Regulated Learning of 7.3%. Self Efficacy and peer social support to Self Regulated Learning as much as 12.9% this means there are still 87.1% other factors that can affect Self Regulated Learning. From these results it is expected for the Potensi Utama University Medan to improve students' ability in managing Self Efficacy in a better direction, build a conducive atmosphere that leads to peer social support, and create learning conditions that lead students to learn independently.
