Abstract

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 2011 Exclusive breastfeeding is breastfeeding only to infants up to 6 months of age without additional and can be given until babies are 2 years old. Exclusive breastfeeding plays an important role in the quality and quantity during the period of brain growth that occurs from 0 to 6 months contained in exclusive breastfeeding, 80% of children's brain development starts in the womb until the age of 3 years, known as the golden period, so that exclusive breastfeeding is needed for 6 months and can be continued until the child is 2 years old. That is because breast milk contains protein, carbohydrates, fats, and minerals that babies need in a balanced amount. There is a relationship between the history of exclusive breastfeeding with the value of learning achievement. The more people who consume exclusive breastfeeding will also increase the value of learning achievement several things can increase the value of learning achievement, namely nutrition, psychology, the environment. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of exclusive breastfeeding with children's learning achievement. This research method uses a cross-sectional design. The sample in this study were 124 children taken by the Probability Random Sampling method with the Cluster Sampling technique. Data analysis in this study used the Mann Whitney test with a significant level of a (<0.05). The results showed that exclusive breastfeeding with learning achievement obtained a value (P = 0.005). Conclusion in this study ASI is the best food that should be given to infants because it contains almost all the nutrients needed by infants or ASI which is the liquid produced by secretions mother's breast glands. Children who are babies when getting exclusive breastfeeding are better at reading, writing, and mathematics at ages 5, 7, 11, and 14 years.

Abstract

DHF is an acute epidemic disease caused by a virus transmitted by Aedes Aegepty. According to 2014 World Health Organization (WHO) data, Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever was first reported in Southeast Asia in 1954 in the Philippines, then spread to various countries. Before 1970 only 9 countries experienced DHF outbreaks, but now DHF has become an endemic disease in more than 100 countries, including Africa, America, Eastern Mediterranean, Southeast Asia and the Western Pacific which have the highest number of DHF cases. The purpose of this study is to know the factors associated with the incidence of DHF in children in the Mawar Care Room of RSUD H.Andi Sulthan Daeng Radja Bulukumba in 2018. The method used in this study is analytical method. The sample in this study amounted to 162 people using total sampling. Retrieval of secondary data. Analysis of the data used by using the chi-square test. This research was conducted using the chi-square test with a level of confidence (α = 0.05) and the value of p-value = 0,000 was obtained, meaning p <α (0,000 <0.05). There is a relationship between the incidence of DHF in children in the Mawar Care Room of H.Andi Sulthan Daeng Radja Bulukumba Hospital. It is recommended that hospital institutions continue to provide information about factors related to the incidence of DHF.

Abstract

The gadget is an item or sophisticated tool that has been equipped with an application that can facilitate the gadget to connect to the internet. Gadgets which include almost all models and types of social media applications become a very easy tool for everyone to interact and socialize without having to be at the same time and space. Dependence on gadgets can have an impact on changes in student behavior. Because the presence of this gadget makes students cooler with their gadgets than those near them or the surrounding environment. The purpose of this research is to analyze the relationship between the level of dependence on gadgets and the behavior of students of SMPN 36 Bulukumba. The research design uses Analytical Survey with a Cross-Sectional approach. The population in this study were all students of 36 Bulukumba Senior High School who had gadgets, which were 83 respondents. With the sampling technique using the Non-Probability sampling technique with a Consecutive Sampling approach. The number of samples in this study was 47 respondents. Data obtained through questionnaires made by researchers to respondents. Data analysis using the Chi-Square Test, with a significance level of a = 0.05. The results of data analysis show that p = 0,000 is smaller than the value of a = 0.05, so Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there are significant results between the level of dependence on gadgets and the behavior of students of SMPN 36 Bulukumba. Conclusion: There is a relationship between the level of dependence on gadgets and the behavior of students of SMPN 36 Bulukumba.

Abstract

Complementary feeding should be given after the baby is 6 months old because it can provide great benefits to the baby (Kodrat, 2010). Factors that play an important role in preventing improper complementary feeding are the mother's knowledge and work factors. Mother's behavior in this case plays an important role in preventing improper complementary feeding so that it will reduce the risk of the baby experiencing digestive disorders and can have a stronger immune system. Some mothers do not provide complimentary foods on time. To find out the relationship between the level of knowledge of mothers about complementary foods with the timeliness of complementary feeding in the working area of ​​Puskesmas Caile. This type of research is a quantitative study using a non-experimental design using a cross-sectional approach. The sample of this study was 49 respondents who were taken by consecutive sampling method. The data analysis in this study used the chi-square test statistical test. Based on the results of univariate analysis, it is known that the knowledge of mothers about complementary feeding is at the most sufficient and good categories as many as 44 people (67.7%). And the timeliness of giving complementary foods was in the most precise category as many as 38 people (58.5%). The results of the analysis using the chi-square test obtained a significant value of 0.001 (p <0.05). There is a relationship between the level of knowledge of mothers about complementary foods with breastfeeding and the timeliness of complementary feeding. And it is suggested that the hospital institution is expected to consider its implementation as nursing care regarding the relationship between the level of knowledge of mothers about complementary foods with breastfeeding and the timeliness of complementary feeding.

Abstract

Pharmacological treatment of menstrual pain relief and non-pharmacological treatment such as reflexology, reflexology massage can be done on the feet and hands so that these points provide a spontaneous relaxation stimulation when massaged so that pain is not felt. Purpose The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving reflexology therapy on reducing the intensity of menstrual pain in undergraduate nursing study program students at Panrita Husada College of Health Sciences, Bulukumba. Methods This study used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design approach. The sample of this study was 41 respondents who were taken using the non-probability sampling method with the consecutive sampling technique. The experimental group received reflexology therapy once with a duration of 20 minutes. Analysis of the data in this study using the Wilcoxon test statistic. The results of the analysis used the Wilcoxon test statistical test with a level of confidence (α = 0.05). Based on the results of this test, the value of ρ = 0,000 was obtained, thus ρ <α (0,000 <0.05), so there was an effect of giving reflexology therapy on reducing the intensity of menstrual pain in undergraduate nursing study program students at Stikes Panrita Husada Bulukumba. The conclusion of this study is a Researchers suggest that the results of this study can provide information for people in the surrounding environment, families, and young women about how to deal with menstrual pain without consuming pharmacological drugs but in a non-pharmacological way, namely by using reflexology techniques.

Abstract

Background: Breast milk companion food should be given after the baby is 6 months old because it can provide great benefits to the baby (Alam, 2010). Factors that play an important role to prevent improper feeding of breast milk are maternal knowledge factors and maternal work factors. Maternal behavior in this case plays an important role to prevent improper feeding of breast milk so that it will reduce the risk of the baby experiencing indigestion and can have stronger endurance. There are some mothers who provide breast milk companion food is not on time. Research objectives: To Find Out the Relationship Between Maternal Knowledge Levels About Breast Milk Companion Foods With Timeliness of Breastfeeding Companion Feeding in the Working Area of Puskesmas Caile Bulukumba Regency. Method: This type of research is quantitative research using a non-experimental design using the Cross-Sectional approach. A sample of 49 respondents was taken by the consecutive sampling method. The data analysis in this study used a chi-square test statistical test. Results: Based on the results of univariate analysis, it is known that the mother's knowledge of MP-BREAST MILK feeding is at most sufficient and good categories as many as 44 people (67.7%). And the timeliness of giving MP-BREAST MILK is the most appropriate category as many as 38 people (58.5%). The results of the analysis using the chi-square test obtained a significant value of 0.001 (p < 0.05). Conclusion: There is a relationship between the level of maternal knowledge about breast milk companion food and the timeliness of breastfeeding companion feeding in the working area of the public health caile bulukumba district. And it is recommended for hospital institutions are expected to consider applying as a nursing relationship between the level of maternal knowledge about breast milk companion food with the timeliness of breastfeeding companion feeding
