Abstract

The research about length frekuency distribution, length-weight relationshipand factor condition stripped flying barb in Tenayan and Tapung Mati River, RiauProvince have been conducted from May 2010 until April 2011. Fishes were caughtby floating net (2 x 5 m) and scoopnet (diameter 0,5 m). The fish samples werecollected every month, and fish collecting based on sensus method. The researchpurpose to know the biggest length frekuency distribution of stripped flying barb inthe nature population. Growth pattern and condition factor of stripped flying barb.Result shown that the population of stripped flying barb is dominate by lengthfrekuency distribution 41 – 50 mm, growth pattern of fish was allometric negativeand value condition factor of the female is the biggest than the male fishes.

Abstract

This study was conducted from August until October 2013 in Reservoir located in the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences University of Riau. The purpose of this study was to determine the pearl gourami with increasing doses of Thyroxine hormones (T4) in different fish meal. The method used is an experimental method and CRD with four treatments and three replications. The treatment in this study is P0 (control), P1 (2 mg Thyroxine hormone / kg of fish meal), P2 (4 mg Thyroxine hormone/kg of fish meal), and P3 (6 mg Thyroxine hormone/kg of fish meal). The best treatment in this study was obtained on addition of thyroxine hormone of 6 mg / kg of feed resulted in the growth of the absolute weight of 6.12 g, the absolute growth of 4.11 cm in length, daily growth rate of 0.086 g / day, and the fish production of 0,475 kg.Key word : hormone thyroxine, Pearl Gourami (Trichogaster leeri)

Abstract

This research was conducted on April-May 2016 located at Jln. Kamboja No. 38, Simpang Baru, Panam, Pekanbaru. The purpose of this research to determine the population of Daphnia magna were cultured on different media and stocking density that generates the highest population. This research method used is an experimental method. The experimental design used was completely randomized design (CRD) with factorial design 2 factors which consisted of factors A: Media different that Poc Nasa 12 ml/l, Chicken Manure 12 g/l, Elephant Grass 12 g/l, Banana Stem 12 g/l and factor B: Solid different initial stocking 10 ind/l, 20 ind/l and 30 ind/l as many as 12 treatments, 3 repetitions so obtained 36 experimental units. Media and stocking density is very real (P<0,01) effect on the population Daphnia magna. The best treatment of Daphnia magna population during the 20 day study period generated by treatment of K12P30 (Chicken Manure 12g/l+ Stocking Density 30 ind/l) with an average value of 190. While the lowest for the treatment population N12P10 (Nasa 12 ml/l+Stocking Density 10 ind/l) with an overall average of 25 ind/l.Based on the analysis of the content of nutrients nitrogen (N) at the beginning and end of the study the culture medium Daphnia magna there are differences of each culture medium which is to Content Nitrogen (N) at the beginning of the study on media Chicken Manure 1,295 mg/l, Poc Nasa 0,622 mg/l, Elephant Grass 0,414 mg/l, and Banana Stem 0,518 mg/l. while the Content of Nitrogen (N) at the end of the study on Chicken Manure media 1.008 mg/l, Poc Nasa 1,915 mg/l, Elephant Grass 3,326 mg/l, and Banana Stem 0,907 mg/l. Water quality during the study showed a good range for growth of Daphnia magna is Temperatures range between 28,1 - 30,8 °C, DO ranged from 3,1 – 5,8 ppm and pH ranging from 7,1 – 8,5.Keywords : Media, Stocking density, Population, Daphnia magna

Abstract

The research was conducted from Maret – Mei 2013 in laboratory ofbreeding Fishery and Marine Science Faculty of Riau University. The aim of thisresearch was to investigate suitable feed for the maturation of the gonads of sepatmutiara (Trichogaster leeri Blkr) reared with different feeding treatment such asGonad Maturity Level (TKG), gonad maturation index (IKG), fecundity, eggdiameter and egg maturation. The research method used was CompletelyRandomized Design (CDR) with three treatments and three replications. Thetreatment in this study were P1 (Tubifex sp), P2 (Shrimp pellet), P3 (Shrimp pellet+ Vitamin E).The result showed that good feed for the maturation of the gonads wasshrimp pellets + Vitamin E, total fish reached TKG IV 13 tails , index gonadsomatic 9,32 %, fecundity of 2646 eggs, egg diameter 0.70 mm. The temperaturerange from 26-28 0 C, pH 5-6, dissolved oxygen 4-5 ppm.Keyword: different feed, Gonad maturation, Trichogaster leeri Blkr

Abstract

This research was held on March, 2016 at the Fish Hatchery and Breeding Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, University of Riau Pekanbaru. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of different incubation temperatures to the rate of yolk absorption, rate of growth in length, the efficiency of yolk utilization, survival of endogenous feeding phase and to know the right time to start feeding in the larval Catfish (Mystus nigriceps) stage. The research method used in this research was complete randomized design (CRD) with one factor, four treatment temperatures which were 260C, 280C, 300C and 320C and three replications. The results showed the highest rate of yolk-sac absorption was at temperature of 320C 20,07% (52 hours) but the maintenance medium temperatures 28°C and 30°C was the best temperatures for the rate growth in length, efficiency of yolk utilization and survival of endogenous feeding phase.Key words: Mystus nigriceps, temperature, yolk absorption

Abstract

The effect of combination of stocking density and food types on gonad maturity and egg quality of hard lipped barb (Osteochillus hasselti CV) was conducted from April to June 2015 at the Laboratory of Fish Hatchery and Breeding, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences University of Riau. The broodstocks were reared in the 300-L cages placed in 3x2x1 m concrete tank for 80 days rearing period. The treatments were stocking density 20 fish/cage fed on tubifex worm (SD-20-TB), SD 20 fed on pellet dry feed (PL); SD-20 fed on PL+Vit E; SD-30 TB; SD30 PL; SD30 PL+VitE; SD40, TB; SD40 PL and SD40 PL+VitE. Fish stocked at 20 fish fed on PL+VitE produced the best result in term on the number of Fish reached at mature stage (Maturity Stage IV), (50%), fecundity (360 eggs/g fish) , Gonado Somatic Index (GSI, 14.7%), egg diameter (0.94 mm) and percent egg maturity was 75%. Temperature range of 29-30 oC, pH 5-6, and dysolved oxygen of 2.43-3.18 mg/L. Key words : Oseochillus hasselti; stocking density; feed types, Vitamin E, gonad maturity, egg quality
