Abstract

Adab Faculty Library and Humanities are the only of 6 faculties and postgraduate libraries in Imam Bonjol Padang UIN that succeed in developing library services based on information and communication technology. The results showed that this success was achieved thanks to the solid collaboration of various parties, including leaders, educators, students and librarians. In addition to solid cooperation the next thing that affects the success of the implementation of library automation in the faculty of adab and humanities is the spirit of learning and the power of a high librarian.

Abstract

This is a quantitative research which talks about burnout level of library service’s staff at BPAD DKI Jakarta library. The instrument of this research is “Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI)”. The data was collected by spreading questionnaires to 30 respondents. The research was done to measure three variables of burnout, they are physical saturation, emotional saturation, and the achievement of self. The result shows that 7% staff of BPAD library service have been identified as burnout. The burnout were particularly caused by physical saturation. According to MBI standard, the burnout level of library service’s staff is on the first level. It means that the library service’s staff could manage stress as well.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate technical guidance to improve the competence of school library managers in South Solok Regency. This research emphasizes the ability of library management in accordance with the National Library Standards so that after the technical guidance of library managers in South Solok Regency especially Pauh Duo District can innovate and competence increases. This technical guidance model was developed with research and development. The results showed that the technical guidance model needs to be TESTED to improve the competency of managing national standard libraries.
