Abstract

This research aims to identify: (1) The implementation of full day school program against students? character building in SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar. (2) The evaluation of full day school program against students? character building in SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar. (3) Obstacles and solutions in implementing full day school program against students? character building in SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar. Descriptive method and qualitative approach are used in this research. Samples are taken by using purposive sampling method. Data are collected by doing interviews, observations, and document analysis. To gain data validity, this research uses data. Data are analyzed using interactive data analysis by following these steps: (1) Data collecting, (2) Data reduction, (3) Data presentation, and (4) Conclusion drawing or verification. Results show that: (1) The implementation of a ful day school program towards the formation of Students? character in SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar is built through habituation, exemplary, and discipline training. (2) The evaluation of the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model in terms of context is good, because of the indicators of needs that have not been achieved the objectives to be achieved are in accordance with what is expected, namely to shape the character of learners, then environmental conditions are also very supportive and conducive. In terms of input shows that forexisting resources good enough it is known from existing facilities and infrastructure, the ability of the subject to support the program and strategy to achieve the program can be done well. In terms of the process to determine the extent to which the activities carried out in the program indicate that the indicators of program activities, ability to handle, utilization of facilities and infrastructure, and obstacles encountered by the school can do as expected. In terms of the product is the final evaluation that shows the results of the program carried out from the indicators of things done after the program runs can be done well, the impact obtained from the program can shape the character of students, and program excellence can shape the character of students (3) Obstacles that are met in this research are the following: First, students? basic character. Second, resources. Third, students? physical condition. Fourth, additional tasks from teachers. Solutions that come from this research are: always implementing the 5S policy [Senyum (smile), Sapa (greet), Salam (bow), Sopan (be polite), Santun (be kind)]and all assignments of teachers and students must be completed in school and live sincerely by referring to existing regulations.   Full Paper

Abstract

The aims of this thesis are to understand about : 1) The reason of FKPM (Forum Kemitraan Polri dan Masyarakat)  establishment in Kadipiro Sub-district; 2) The FKPM?s (Forum Kemitraan Polri dan Masyarakat)  obstacles to improve society legal awareness; 3) FKPM (Forum Kemitraan Polri dan Masyarakat)  implementation strategies to improve society legal awareness.This research uses qualitative research method. This research is descriptive case study research. The data were collected from various resources such as informan, places, events, and documents. This researcher used purposive sampling as its sampling method. In conducting this research, the researcher used interview, observation, and document analysis as its data collecting method. This research used triangulation as its data validation method and observation. This analysis method used interactive analysis model consists of these steps: (1) data collecting; (2) data reduction; (3) data display; (4) conclusion making. Therefore, the research procedure consists of : (1) preparatory step; (2) data collecting step; (3) data analysis step; (4) research report making step. Based on the result of this research, it shows that : 1) Passing through events conducted by FKPM (Forum Kemitraan Polri dan Masyarakat)  can improve its surrounding safety and order and also society legal awareness. 2) In their activities FKPM (Forum Kemitraan Polri dan Masyarakat)  experienced 6 obstacles they are : (1) Limited legal knowledge held by FKPM (Forum Kemitraan Polri dan Masyarakat); (2) The undistributed members of FKPM (Forum Kemitraan Polri dan Masyarakat)  with mediation skill; (3) The activity schedule was not arranged well;   (4) The limited number of supporting facilities for FKPM (Forum Kemitraan Polri dan Masyarakat)  activities; (5) Limited material and non materials support from the government; (6) The society legal awareness is still low.  3) FKPM (Forum Kemitraan Polri dan Masyarakat)  implementation strategies to improve  society legal awareness were conducted through preventive measures such as : (1) FKPM (Forum Kemitraan Polri dan Masyarakat)  integrations to the society; (2) Substitute apparatus for prevention and environmental security; (3) Engaging the society to detect threat for society safety and order early; and through repressive efforts is that becoming mediator when there was a dispute in the society.   Full Paper

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the difficulties of junior high school civic education teachers in developing Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (the national slogan unity in diversity) learning materials based on actual issues. The method used is descriptive qualitative. Data was collected using interviews with informants from junior high school civic education teachers in Sukoharjo District and civics field experts, document analysis of civic education (PPKn) textbooks for junior high school and PPKn 2013 curriculum documents, supported by Focus Group Discussions. The results showed that the teacher had no difficulty developing the civic education materials of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika for junior high school because it was based on government textbooks and lesson plans developed by teachers' association (MGMP) of civic education subject for junior high school in Sukoharjo Regency. Difficulties are experienced when presenting actual issues that are close to students' initial experiences related to the materials and the use of instructional technology media that are appropriate to the conditions of the school and students. This is because actual issues that are close to students' initial experiences are not included in the textbook. Likewise, the use of technology to support learning is also not included in textbooks. This makes teachers creatively prepare local, practical and actual issues to support the learning of these materials. The teachers also uses instructional technology media to support learning material by adjusting the conditions of the schools and students. Keywords: civic education subject (PPKn), learning materials, Bhinneka Tunggal Ika ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis kesulitan guru PPKn SMP dalam mengembangkan materi pembelajaran Bhinneka Tunggal Ika yang berbasis isu aktual. Metode yang digunakan deskriptive kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara dengan informan guru PPKn SMP Kabupaten Sukoharjo dan pakar bidang PKn, analisis dokumen terhadap buku ajar PPKn SMP dan dokumen kurikulum PPKn 2013, ditunjang dengan Focus Group Discussion. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru tidak mengalami kesulitan mengembangkan materi aspek Bhinneka Tunggal Ika PPKn SMP dikarenakan sudah mendasarkan pada buku ajar pemerintah dan RPP yang dikembangkan MGMP PPKn SMP Kabupaten Sukoharjo. Kesulitan dialami pada saat menyajikan isu aktual yang dekat dengan pengalaman awal siswa terkait dengan materi dan penggunaan media teknologi pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kondisi sekolah dan siswa. Hal ini dikarenakan isu aktual dan yang dekat dengan pengalaman awal siswa tidak termuat di buku ajar. Demikian pula, penggunaan teknologi untuk mendukung pembelajaran juga tidak termuat di buku ajar. Hal ini menjadikan guru secara kreatif menyiapkan isu lokal, praktis dan aktual guna mendukung pembelajaran materi tersebut. Guru juga menggunakan media teknologi pembelajaran untuk mendukung pembelajaran materi dengan menyesuaikan kondisi sekolah dan siswa. Abstract

This research aims to describe democratic character reinforcement strategy and democratic character which is shown by students as the impact of the implementation of project based civic education learning. This study uses qualitative method with descriptive qualitative approach. Data source of this research involves informant (civic education teachers, class XI students and alumnus of SMA Negeri Kebakkramat), project based civic education learning activities and documents (Lesson plan, score list, and Project based civic education learning product result). Sampling technique uses purposive sampling and snowball sampling. Data collection uses participatory observation technique, document analysis and deep interview directly. Validity test technique uses triangulation of methods and data sources. Data analysis uses interactive analysis technique. Research results is democratic character reinforcement strategy which is done by civic education teachers through project based civic education learning with provide exemplary democratic character values in every steps of project based civic education learning accordance with the material Beware of Threats Against the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. Democratic character which is evidenced by the attitude of studentswho obey the rules and regulations at school and do every assignmentgiven by the teacher, both individually and in groups of project based civic education learning.
