Abstract

Abstract: THE USE OF THINK PAIR SHARE MODEL (TPS) WITH VISUAL MEDIA TO INCREASE IPS LEARNING OUTCOME ABOUT PREPARATION OF INDEPENDENCE FOR FIFTH GRADE STUDENTS OF SDN 02 SLARANG IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR OF 2016/2017. The objectives of this research are: (1) to describe the steps of TPS with visual media; (2) improving the social sciences learning outcomes on the preparation of independence through the TPS model with visual media; And (3) outlining the constraints and solutions of the application of TPS models with visual media to improve social sciences learning outcomes about independence preparation. This study uses collaborative classroom action research. Research subjects are teachers and students of class V. Data collection techniques was using test techniques, observation and interviews. Data validity was using source and technique triangulation. Data analysis was through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that the application of TPS model with visual media improve the learning result of social sciences about the preparation of independence. Keywords: Think Pair Share (TPS), Visual Media, IPS Learning Outcomes Abstrak: Penerapan Model Think Pair Share (TPS) dengan Media Visual untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar IPS tentang Persiapan Kemerdekaan pada Siswa Kelas V SDN 02 Slarang Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu: (1) mendeskripsikan langkah-langkah TPS dengan media visual; (2) meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS tentang persiapan kemerdekaan melalui model TPS dengan media visual; dan (3) menguraikan kendala dan solusi dari penerapan model TPS dengan media visual untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS tentang persiapan kemerdekaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas kolaboratif. Subjek penelitian yaitu guru dan siswa kelas V. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes, observasi dan wawancara. Validitas data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Analisis data melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penerapan model TPS dengan media visual meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS tentang persiapan kemerdekaan. Kata kunci: Think Pair Share (TPS), Media Visual, Hasil Belajar IPS
