This research aims to describe the implementation of agricultural extension in Tapung district Kampar regency, analyze performance of agriculture extensionÂ in Tapung district Kampar regency, analyze the effectiveness of the extension performance in Tapung district Kampar regency. The methods of collecting sample using Purposive Sampling and Slovin, the samples taken in this research are the group of existing districts in Tapung district which can represent beginner, advanced, and related group classes with 40 numbers of samples and this research uses a qualitative descriptive method to explain the circumstances that occur in the field. The results of this research show that the agricultural extension performance in Tapung district is relatively high with an average score of 3.99, the effectiveness of extension performance in Tapung district is also effective with an average score of 4.11.Â Keywords :Farmers, Extension Agent, the performance, and Effectiveness

Commodities rice (Oryza sativa L.) is one class of Gramineae plants or grasses suitable to be developed in Indonesia. Simpang Raya originated from Simpang Raya legalization in 1918 which previously was the village Parsaguan Kalapa. The village originally planted sago as their staple food ,. But when the Dutch colonial war, the invaders (the Netherlands) to bring rice seed to work with communities in paddy fields. It survived until now. Community Simpang Raya almost all rice farming not only for their own consumption, but also sold to the agents of rice in the village. Simpang Raya also own and maintain local knowledge to society. local wisdom that thrive in everyday life either through direct teaching from parents to children and from ompung to pahompu (grandchildren). Simpang Raya community life is very thick with ancestral traditions. One example of local wisdom that they do rice farmers till today as land clearing, the clearing process farmers implement partamiangan (intercession) before clearing that aims to always remember and rely on God in every step as well as in carrying out rice cultivation. This study using interviews, questionnaires and Snowball Sampling in the number of respondents the right to obtain 7 respondents consisting of 1) village officials, 2) traditional figure, 3) Farmers Rice. The purpose of this study are to identify local wisdom rubber plant has ever had (previously done but did not do it again now), formerly done by now they do the rubber farmers and which were not performed but is now made of rubber farmers. The method was used survey and Snowball Sampling in finding the respondent the right to obtain 15 respondents consisting of 1) Farmers Rubber, 2) Traditional Leaders, 3) Religious Leaders, 4) village officials, 5) Members farmer groups, 6) Collectors. Methods interviews were conducted to obtain information about local wisdom rubber plants. The criteria will be seeking respondents rubber farmers who have cultivated long experience and know the local wisdom rubber plants. The results showed that local wisdom rubber plant by the farmers in cultivation in 1) clearing of land that is numbered 15 indigenous 2) Nurseries are 4 local wisdom 3) Planting a total of 5 local wisdom 4) Maintenance numbered 11 local wisdom and 5) Rubber tapping totaling 12 indigenous 6) Rejuvenation totaled 4 indigenous 7) Processed Material totaled 3 lokal wisdom 8) Marketing amounted to 3 lokal wisdom. Total indigenous rubber plant at 58 local wisdom. Strategies in maintaining local knowledge of rubber cultivation in the Districts Batang Cenaku gained 9 strategy, which gained 3 SO strategy, ST there are 2 strategies, WO 2 and WT strategy 2 strategy. The success of extension is not separated from the importance of the extension role that has been implemented. One of the roles of extension is to facilitate the learning process of main actors (perpetrators of agricultural activities) and business people as well as seek access to key actors and business people to source information, technology, and other resources to They can develop their business, therefore the extension can be held well not regardless of the importance of the extension role in achieving the purpose of the extension itself. In addition, the importance of the counseling role is carried out to develop knowledge, attitudes, and skills for the main actors and businesses in carrying out their daily activities on gambir plantation activities. How the perception of extension to the importance of the counseling role in the Gambir plant in the district of Pangkalan Koto Baru District Lima Puluh Kota regency of West Sumatra Province is very interesting to be examined according to the background above. This research aims to know the implementation of extension in the gambir plant in the district of Pangkalan Koto Baru Lima Puluh Kota regency, and know the perception of farmers to the importance of the extension role in the Gambir plant in Pangkalan Koto Baru District Lima Puluh Kota regency province of West Sumatra. This research uses the survey method. Data is collected in a descriptive and qualitative through direct observation. This research aimed to analyze the internal and external characteristicsof paddy farmers Special Effort Paddy Corn Soy (UPSUS PAJALE) in Rambah Baru village. This research was conducted in Rambah Baru village, Rambah Samo dictricts, Rokan Hulu regency. Determination oflocation by Multi-Stage Sampling based of considerations in Rokan Hulu there was an area thatapplying UPSUS PAJALE program.The Methodscorrespond conducted census.The total sample for this research was 52 farmers. The data analyzes of this researchused descriptive method and Likert Scale.The result showed the internal characteristics of paddy farmers atRambah Baru villageviewedbase of farmers age criteriaare at the productive age 15-55 years old, the majority of farmers education wasSenior high school , number of family burdenmajority about â‰¤ 4 people, long experience farming 19-35 years old, farmers's land area majorityabout 0.56 to 2 Ha and cosmopolitan of the farmers was high.The external characteristics of paddy farmers were high seen from the intensity extension with a score of 3.90, the accuracy of channel extension included in the high category with a score of 3.54, the amount of resources included in the category of high 3.70, affordability means of production included in the medium category with a score of 3.30, availability of production facilities included in the medium category with a score of 2.92 and the environmental carrying capacity in the high category with a score of 3.61.
