Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the effect of students' perceptions of the teacher's sosial status on student motivation to become a Primary Teachers; (2) the effect of students' perceptions about teacher professional education programs (PPG) on student motivation to become teachers; (3) the effect of students' perceptions about the sosial status of teachers and teacher professional education programs (PPG) on student motivation to become teachers. This research is an ex post facto research with a quantitative approach. The subjects in this study were the 7th-semester students of the University of Mataram's PGSD study program, amounting to 315, then samples were taken using the Slovin formula so that 177 students were obtained. The data collection method uses a questionnaire. Data analysis uses descriptive statistical analysis; analysis prerequisite test consisting of normality test, linearity test, and multicollinearity test; and regression analysis consisting of a simple linear regression test and multiple linear regression test. The results showed: (1) There was a positive and significant influence of students' perceptions about the teacher's sosial status on motivation to become a teacher. (2) There is a positive and significant influence of students' perceptions about PPG on motivation to become a teacher. (3) There is a positive and significant influence of students' perceptions about the sosial status of teachers and PPG simultaneously on the motivation of students to become teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the 21st century skills values contained in the fifth grade student?s book sub theme 1 (Human and Environment). The method used is content analysis with data reduction stages, data exposure, and drawing conclusions. Data source in this study is buku lingkungan sahabat kita, the 2013 thematic integrated curriculum book for SD/MI grade V. The results of this study indicate that 21st century skills have been developed in learning activities, let?s discuss, let?s write, let?s observe, let?s try, let?s practice, let?s sing, let?s sing, let?s contemplate, and activities with parents.

Abstract

This study aims to describe about the effect of (1) leadership towards work motivation, (2) adversity quotient towards work motivation, and (3) leadership towards adversity quotient. The hypotheses of the this research are: (1) there is direct positive effect on leadership towards work motivation, (2) there is direct positive effect on adversity quotient towards work motivation, and (3) there is direct positive effect on leadership towards adversity quotient. The method used in this research was survey. The population was all of junior high school state teachers in District Grogol Petamburan West Jakarta and the total were 189 participants. The  results  showed  that,  firstly,  there was direct positive  effect  on leadership  towards  work motivation with the correlation coefficient r13 = 0,896, and path coefficient p31 at the number 0,514 with α = 0,05. Secondly, there direct was positive effect on adversity quotient towards work motivation with the correlation coefficient r23 = 0,911, and path coefficient p32 at the number 0,561 with α = 0,05. Thirdly, there was direct positive effect on leadership towards adversity quotient with the correlation coefficient r12 = 0,681, and path coefficient p21 at the number 0,681 with α = 0,05. The results of this study are useful for increasing work motivation through increased leadership and increasing adversity quotient through increased leadership.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan mengkaji pentingnya critical thinking dan problem solving dalam pembelajaran IPS untuk menjawab tantangan abad 21. Metode yang dipergunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi literatur. 4 keterampilan abad 21 yaitu: communication, collaboration, critical thinking and problem solving, serta creativity and innovation. Tujuan pembelajaran IPS adalah mengembangkan potensi peserta didik agar terampil mengatasi masalah sosial. Pembelajaran IPS pada abad 21 harus integrative, holistic, saintifik, konstektual, tematik, efektif, kolaboratif, dan berpusat pada siswa. Pentingnya critical thinking dan Problem Solving dalam pembelajaran IPS adalah agar peserta didik dapat merangsang, menganalisis, dan melakukan sintesis tepat dimana masalah itu berada, atas inisiatif sendiri.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) The effect of self-confidence on the ability of public speaking; (2) The effect of communication skills on public speaking skills; (3) The effect of self confidence and communication ability on public speaking ability of Elementary School Teacher Education Students 2019, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Mataram. This research is an ex post facto study using a quantitative data approach. The subjects in this study were students of class 2019, amounting to 345 and then taken as many as 38% of the population of around 131 students. Analysis Methods of data collection using a questionnaire. Test the validity of the instrument using Product Moment correlation and reliability testing using Alpha Cronbach. Data analysis uses descriptive statistical analysis; analysis prerequisite test consisting of normality test, linearity test, and multicollinearity test; and regression analysis consisting of a simple linear regression test and multiple linear regression test. The results showed: (1) There was a positive and significant effect of self- confidence on the public speaking ability. (2) There is a positive and significant influence of communication ability on the public speaking ability. (3) There is a positive and significant influence of self-confidence and communication ability on the public speaking ability.

Abstract

Tema perkalian dan pembagian pecahan pada pembelajaran matematika masih menjadi hal yang sulit bagi peserta didik di kelas IV SDN 3 Batu Kumbung. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan rendahnya capaian hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik pada tema perkalian dan pembagian pecahan yang rata-rata dibawah KKM. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif melalui variasi model pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together (NHT) pada tema perkalian dan pembagian pecahan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan pada peserta didik kelas IV SDN 3 Batu Kumbung yang berjumlah 21 orang dengan dua siklus. Data diperoleh dengan teknik tes dan dianalisis melalui statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari siklus pertama hanya terdapat sedikit peningkatan, namun setelah para peserta didik kelas IV diberikan petunjuk dan penguatan, hasil belajar kognitif pada tema perkalian dan pembagian pecahan meningkat melebihi nilai KKM. Siklus dihentikan setelah nilai rata-rata hasil belajar kognitif pada tema perkalian dan pembagian pecahan telah tercapai atau melebihi nilai kriteria ketuntasan minimal.

Abstract

Local scripts are the priceless cultural heritage of the nation. The existence of local scripts today is increasingly eroded by the use of Latin writing. A few young people are able to write local scripts. One of the forgotten local scripts is the Sasambo script in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). This study aims to describe the learning interest of PGSD students on local scripts. This research was designed in a quantitative descriptive form. The data was collected through surveys. The instrument used were a closed questionnaire and interview guidelines. Data analysis used descriptive statistics. The subject of research was PGSD students of University of Mataram. The results showed that PGSD students' interest in learning about local scripts was very low. The indicators showed that few students have ever learned local scripts, the number of students interested in learning local scripts was small, the number of students who were willing to read literature was small, the number of students who had interested on local scripts was small, the use of local scripts was also small and the assumption that local scripts were not important to learn. The reason for the lack of interest in learning about local scripts was because local scripts were difficult to learn and were not needed anymore in practical life. Based on the findings, it needs various efforts to increase student interest in learning local scripts Sasambo through learning innovation. By learning local scripts, it is expected that the preservation of local scripts will be maintained.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the content or problems presented in a student's book in accordance with the criteria as teaching materials with high-level skills in elementary school. The study uses content analysis methods with stages of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. Data collection is done by rubrics then presented in graphical form. The data source in this study is the 2013 thematic integrated curriculum book for elementary / MI class V theme 6 "Heat and Displacement". Based on the results of this study it can be seen that in the student book there is a LOTS load of 36%, HOTS content gets a percentage of 64%. The percentage of each cognitive level (C-4) is 35%, Evaluation (C-5) is 33% and Creation (C-6) is 32%. The results of the analysis of these data indicate that in the book students have presented content that contains HOTS and is feasible to be implemented in learning.

Abstract

Gender equality is a necessity that has not been maximized. Although it continues to be campaigned, however, many women are still found. This study aims to analyze the problems of female farm workers in Pangalengan Bandung and the factors that cause it. Assessed by descriptive method using interview and observation techniques. The result of the research shows that the problems which are often problems are economic problems, welfare problems, work comfort problems, and national problems. The basic forms of women include: gender in wage patterns between men and women, gender workload between men and women, and the view that women are weaker than men. Meanwhile, the main national cause is the strong patriarchal culture which is not aware that it is still attached to society. This research also finds a concept that the welfare level of female farm workers is not the same. This depends on their daily income. Some include prosperous agricultural laborers, almost prosperous farm workers, and less prosperous farm workers. These findings provide a different view from previous studies which state that agricultural labor is closely related to poverty.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the use of mobile phones in SMAN 1 Pangalengan. The survey was conducted on 100 students. Data collection using a questionnaire. Data analysis uses quantitative descriptive methods. The results showed students tend to utilize social media such as Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. Other uses for browsing, gaming, and entrepreneurship. Survey results show that 92% of students use WhatsApp to communicate and 82% of students use mobile phones to access social media. This shows the pattern of mobile phone use has shifted among students although basically, it does not change the main function.
