Abstract

Organizing a scientific conference activity is an opportunity for researchers to meet and share research or study that is being done. One of the most important parts of conducting a scientific conference is the process of submission and review paper sent by researchers. The process of using a submission system on a website requires many menus and features that must be available. However, in making a website there are often errors in the interface, submission system, task orientation, submit login, submit sign-up, writing, content quality, page layout, visual design, help and error tolerance. In the following research, applying to test using black-box testing boundary value analysis techniques. Boundary Value Analysis method is a way of testing by determining the value of the lower and upper limits of the data to be tested. This test is performed on the submission system function on the CENTIVE website. The test results show that there are still many shortcomings when validating data that will be input so that it can cause data stored in the database does not match the expected data. Test results can be used as input to improve the system.

Abstract

Translation now becomes important in human culture. Translation is the act of process of rendering what is expressed in one language or set of symbols by means of another language or set of symbols. This research aims at analyzing the cultural transfer and how the procedures in translation on mobile application of ‘Tangkap Reptil’ from Indonesia into the English. The Source Language (SL) used is Indonesian, then translated into the Target Language (TL) in the form of English. The data were taken from mobile application ‘Tangkap Reptil’ where it is an application that connect the community with the nearest reptile community that is ready to assist the community in securing reptiles. This mobile application is the result of New Lecturer Research Grant 2019 by Direktorat Riset dan Pengabdian Masyarakat, Kemeristekdikti. The theory applied is theory of translation proposed by Newmark related to culture and translation processes. He divided the translation procedures into fifteen translation procedures. The research is qualitative, and the data were analyzed descriptively. The data was collected by using observation method completed by applying the note taking technique. In this paper, the researcher wants to study how a translator transfer the cultural issues from SL to TL and discuss the procedures he used. Despite translating with awareness to the culture, the research concern to the transferring process in this literary work by focusing on the choosing of equivalence word that makes the culture from SL transfer smoothly into TL.

Abstract

Abstract — Based on the prior study, some shrimp ponds went bankrupt due to pond water quality monitoring is still not good. Many shrimps get sick and die for water quality monitoring still relies on laboratory checks and is rarely done because of financial problems. The purpose of this study is to develop a monitoring system of shrimp pond water quality especially for vannamei shrimp using an Internet of Things (IoT)-based device with a data logging method. The system role is to monitor the water condition, record sensor data, and provide water quality status of shrimp ponds based on water movement, turbidity of water, and water temperature. The data logger device uses a microcontroller named NodeMCU ESP8266 and two sensors namely the LDR sensor and the water temperature sensor dallas 18b20. The devices are connected to the internet and send all water quality monitoring data to Google's database service called Firebase. The results of the water quality monitoring can be accessed through an Android-based monitoring application that is built using Flutter framework which contains information.
