Abstract

Geogebra is software designed to solve geometry, calculus and algebra material as well as applications for designing spaces and buildings. The purpose of this research is to produce teaching material products through Geogebra software in mathematics courses that can be utilized in learning. The stages in this research include: (1) the stage of developing teaching material products, (2) the testing phase of teaching materials products (3) the analysis of increasing student’s independence. Product development and level of practicability of teaching materials is validated by material experts, media experts, lecturers as users, and trials of teaching material products. Qualitative data is used as a consideration in teaching material products to make revisions while quantitative data is analysed by statistical tests to see an increase in student self-independence. Based on the test results of experts teaching materials developed for trials in the field. Experts recommendations about teaching materials are appropriate for use and revision. After the revision is issued, try the field that involving students, the results of the test items about the reliability level of 0.734 so that teaching materials could be used for research instrumentts. The average value and standard deviation of the normalized gain values for the experimental class are 0.812 and 0.139 while the control class are 0.731 and 0.198. The analysis result of the questionnaire is that there is an increase in self-independence in study of the students in Architecture Study Program, Engineering Faculty, Malikussaleh University.

Abstract

Kampung Jawa Lama is one of the villages in the city of Lhokseumawe, which has a dense population. An unbalanced comparison between the availability of urban space and the increasing number of residents impacts community space activities. This research study is focused on the old Javanese village settlements, which have ambiguity between the boundaries of space for activities such as private space and public space in everyday life in society. It can be seen from community activities that use public space for personal gain. The spatial boundaries in the old Javanese village occur because they grow and develop irregularly, resulting in social interaction factors and community activities that dominate the space. This research uses a descriptive qualitative survey method that is exploratory with a rationalistic approach. The characteristics of territoriality can be seen from the influence of the components in the space, where the function has its role in the emergence of activities. Community agreements with supporting elements for activities such as activities around residential spaces, routine activities, and scheduled activities also form territories that occur in the settlements of Kampung Jawa Lama. In addition, the activities that occur cause a change in the function of the public space used for personal interests by residents in the neighborhood around the house.

Abstract

The Krueng Mane People's Market is one of the traditional markets built by the government. Traditional markets are part of the economic facilities and infrastructure in Indonesia. However, its existence is increasingly being eroded by the modern market and the less than optimal use. The government has launched a Market Revitalization Program, but many have failed. The purpose of this study was to determine the use and design criteria of the functional aspects of standard elements of space, accessibility, zoning and facilities. This study uses an evaluation method with a qualitative descriptive elaboration. In collecting data, the method used is place centered mapping on field observations, surveys using questionnaires and interviews. The results of the study indicate that the aspects studied have not been effective for use by traders and buyers during their inhabited period. Therefore, it is suggested that the design criteria are the size of the trading room based on the standard, the width of the circulation does not vary in the sense that it must comply with the standard, the zoning should be given a clear marker and the facilities for the market must be provided again so that the market that has been built can be used optimally in the future.
