Abstract

This paper is titled" Attitude to Give Offerings According to the Gospel of Mark 12: 41-44 ". Mark's Gospel was written by Mark himself and this Gospel of Mark is the earliest Gospel written, which is between 65 and 70 AD before the Temple in Jerusalem was destroyed and Mark's Gospel is also the shortest of the four Gospels. This book was shown to the Jews to introduce Christ as a servant. Specifically the Gospel of Mark 12: 41-44 tells how Jesus showed His disciples the attitude of the rich and the widows of the poor in giving offerings. This shows that Jesus wanted to tell everyone and specifically to the students how the right attitude in giving offerings. The text Jesus shows about the attitude of the rich and poor widows in making offerings in the Temple. In addition, in the context of the Gospel of Mark 12: 41-44, Jesus showed His disciples the right attitude in offering. Jesus' purpose here is to direct the attention of His disciples to the poor widow. The poor widow gives more offerings than the offerings of rich people, because she gives from her shortcomings while rich people give from abundance. So through this article we can open the understanding of believers to have the right attitude to offer.

Abstract

The God who calls believers into the noble calling task is a faithful God. In carrying out this call of duty the believer must be faithful like God the creator. The task of that vocation is to serve God and preach the gospel throughout the face of the earth. Loyalty to serve to the end is what God wants for every believer, this must be owned by every servant of God and believers, as the Apostle Paul emphasized in the book "Acts 20" as a servant of the Lord the Apostle Paul completed his vocation properly. In "Revelation 2: 10b" let you be faithful unto death, I will grant you the crown of life. This is God's promise for everyone who is faithful to Him and who completes the call of duty well to the finish line. Through the article is expected to encourage believers to understand eating loyalty.

Abstract

2 Peter 1: 10-11 gives an explanation to Christians in Asia to try to be even more determined about their vocation and choices. Because when they do it, it will never fall or stumble. Seriousness becomes the most important thing to fulfill the call. A call is not an invitation whose source is from one's own person, but God calls him so that no one can reject a call coming from God. The choice that God has set for someone is the most beautiful gift. Therefore, by learning the meaning of vocations and choices will be able to foster God's deep gratitude and love in believers.

Abstract

In this paper the author discusses "Characteristics of God's servants" based on 2 Timothy 2: 22-25. Characteristics are characteristics possessed by someone who distinguishes himself from others in which discuss about character and which leads to good moral values ​​(ethical). This characteristic is also a characteristic that is embedded in the servants of God in their lives interacting with others, to themselves, the surrounding environment and in the ministry. The Apostle Paul in his letter to Timothy so that Timothy as a servant of God does not fall into sin in the face of various temptations of faith that lead to sin, trials, false doctrines, false teachers and various other challenges both inside and outside. Therefore the Apostle Paul advised Timothy to maintain holiness by having the characteristics of God's servants.

Abstract

This 2nd Corinthian letter, written by the Apostle Paul, was addressed to the Corinthians. This letter is intended for the purpose, so that in conveying the gospel has the correct method so that the gospel can be accepted. The duty of believers is to convey the gospel / good news to everyone who does not know Christ. In writing this article we will explore how the Apostle Paul's perspective on the ministry of spreading the gospel based on 2 Corinthians 6: 1-10. Therefore through this writing, we will again remind and refresh believers about the importance of the ministry of spreading the gospel.

Abstract

Give thanks is an attitude of the human heart. Giving thanks shows an attitude that is based on a believer's faith in God. Even though this is a simple command, reality shows many believers' failure to give thanks. The Apostle Paul also saw this reality, therefore through 1 Thessalonians, the apostle Paul wanted to give teachings and appeals so that the believers in Thessalonica could show an attitude of life to give thanks. But there are different things that Paul taught with the concept of thanksgiving of unbelievers. Therefore, to understand these differences, it is very important to study thanksgiving from a biblical perspective, in this article specifically doing the exegetical study of the expression "giving thanks in all things" according to 1 Thessalonians 5:18.

Abstract

The concept of death is something that is often questioned by humans. Because no human being has been able to provide strong evidence of what happened after death. Therefore this question also needs to be answered in the light of the Christian faith. The rationale for discussing death is the Bible. But it must be realized that the Bible is also present in the cultural context and traditions of the nation of Israel. So to get the principle or meaning needed is also an assessment of the context and principle of death of the people of Israel. Theological review is needed so as not to get caught up in Judaism in understanding the concept of death. Therefore, through this paper will explain the theological review of the concept of the nation of Israel about death.

Abstract
