Abstract

Changes in human needs in recent years have been influenced by the rapid development of technology and information delivery. The widespread use of smartphones by individuals in the community is one of the real forms of changing human needs due to the rapid development of technology and information. Based on the survey, 99.2% of students are active users of smartphones. This proves the high consumptive power among students towards the smart phone. This condition is undeniable because of the many features offered by smartphones in facilitating the academic activities of every student, ranging from task searches to sharing information and communicating with all people in the campus world. Communication and information sharing can be done using several applications including: BlackBerry Mesangger (BBM, WhatsApp (WA), Line, Telegram, Email, Twitter, Facebook (FB) etc. Based on the questionnaire that has been distributed, 96.4% of students choose WA as an application that is most often used to communicate and share academic information, followed by the second place is BBM with a percentage of 0.79% of users.This finding is a clear evidence that there has been a significant shift and changes in the number of users from BBM to WA, especially for Millennials like students, supported by a number of reasons including sophisticated protection features, practicality of use and completeness of WA features that make it increasingly excellent and increasingly popular among students.Based on the findings obtained during the research activities, it can be concluded that whatsapp application is the most popular application which is used seb communication media and sharing of student academic information.

Abstract

School paradigm today is not only about transmite of information, but how to change the habit of learning process being active and autonomous. Many theoris of learning process in education context was develop, such as: behaviorisme learning theory, cognitivisme learning theory, constructivisme and humanisme learning theory. If we look educational concept in social context, teacher and all learning environment use humanisme as learning theory. For this adherent, learning process must refer to human/individualistic. Honey Mumford devide students by learning process as four group, are: activist, theorist, pragmatist and reflector. Reflector is one of Honey Mumford theory and ussually the students with this type have carefully to get a conclusion and need many information to support their concept. A research show if reflector is the dominant group to visit the library every time. Based on this research, the organizer of library must understand about their habit and know their necessity to learn.

Abstract

Learning at the Elementary School level is dominated by information gathering activities to build students' knowledge. The concept of learning is related to constructivist learning theory and requires students to have a high reading interest. Based on interviews with SDN teachers 19 Nan Sabaris revealed the findings that students' reading interest was still low, this was confirmed by the fact that the learning methods that were often used were lectures. The purpose of this study was to see the effect of using the Play-Think-Pair-Share model to increase students' reading interest. This type of research is quasi-experimental, with a sample of fifth grade students at SDN 19 Nan Sabaris in the 2018/2019 school year. The data collection instrument used is the student interest reading assessment sheet, with the data analysis technique chosen is paired sample t-test. Based on the results of data analysis it was found that the sig 2.tailed value was 0.0000 smaller than the value of ? = 0.05, so it can be concluded that there were significant differences in reading interest between before and after the use of Play-Think-Pair-Share models in elementary school learning.

Abstract

Mathematic is one of the difficult and scary subjects. Sometimes, the students feel afraid and it makes them feel forced and uncomfortable. Indirectly this situation would affect the students’ learning outcomes and another reason was the lack of activities in learning mathematics which could train and enhance students’ collaborative skill. Learning would be more meaningful if it involved peers to build students’ knowledge. Therefore, the purpose of this research was to find out the effect of Ludo game in improving students’ collaborative skill. This research was quasi-experimental with the sample of 21 students on third grade in SD 19 Nan Sabaris. The instrument used students’ collaborative assessment sheet. The data analyzed by using effectiveness test with paired sample t-test. The conclusion showed that there were significant different on students’ collaborative skill between the students who were taught by using Ludo and the students who were taught by using conventional learning.

Abstract

Pembelajaran yang monoton akan menyebabkan mahasiswa menjadi kurang aktif mengikuti perkuliahan kimia dasar. Sebagai solusi dilakukan kombinasi google classrrom dalam perkuliahan. Jenis penelitian ini deksriptif kualitatif bertujuan untuk mendeskipsikan perspektif mahasiswa dalam perkuliahan daring kimia dasar menggunakan google classroom. Instrumen data menggunakan kuisioner. Kuisioner digunakan untuk memperoleh data respon mahasiswa setelah menggunakan google classroom dalam empat kali sesi perkuliahan daring. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa dari 70 orang mahasiswa fakultas teknik Universitas Ekasakti 80,00% meyatakan setuju google classroom mudah untuk dioperasikan, 64,28% menyatakan setuju google classroom memberikan kemudahan dalam pengerjaan tugas, 88,57% menyatakan setuju penggunaan google classroom memotivasi perkuliahan. Secara umum dapat kita lihat mahasiswa fakultas teknik Universitas Ekasakti memberikan respon positif dalam penggunaan google classroom dalam perkuliahan kimia dasar

Abstract

AbstrakDengan menerapkan pembelajaran menggunakan bahan ajar berbasis web di perguruan tinggi khususnya dalam perkuliahan Fisika diharapkan mahasiswa mampu memahami berbagai konsep Fisika dan soal-soal dan  menggunakan teknologi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu didasarkan atas adanya kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dengan Randomized Control Group Only Design. Populasi penelitian ini mahasiswa tingkat I Fakultas Teknik dan Perencanaan Universitas Ekasakti dalam perkuliahan Fisika Dasar semester ganjil 2019/2020. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan tes tertulis yang terdiri dari soal objektif. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji-t, namun sebelumnya dilakukan uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. Berdasarkan penelitian diperoleh nilai rata-rata hasil belajar Fisika mahasiswa kelas eksperimen yaitu 84,75 sedangkan kelas kontrol 80,69. Hal ini menunjukan hasil belajar Fisika mahasiswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dari nilai rata-rata hasil belajar Fisika kelas kontrol. Selanjutnya berdasarkan hasil uji-t terhadap hasil belajar tersebut diperoleh bahwa thitung >  ttabel, yaitu 2,04  > 1,67. Adanya perbedaan nilai antara thitung dengan ttabel menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang berarti penerapan bahan ajar dengan variasi bentuk tugas berbasis web dengan yang tidak menggunakan bahan ajar ini. Dengan demikian bahan ajar Fisika dengan variasi bentuk tugas berbasis web memberikan pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa teknik.

Abstract

The guidance of career counseling can lead, provide insight and knowledge about the world of work and current issues in facing competition in the world of work. The magnitude of the impact caused by the counseling career counseling program, making the educational policy stakeholders at a university institution consider the implementation of guidance services to prospective graduates who will compete in the world of work. This type of research is descriptive qualitative and aims to describe the results of the analysis of educational policies that have been taken by several universities regarding career counseling guidance services. The sample universities taken in the research activity were : IAIN Batusangkar, STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat, Universitas Muhammadiyah Tapanuli Selatan, Institut Pendidikan Tapanuli Selatan, UIN Imam Bonjol Padang, Universitas Negeri Padang, dan Universitas Putra Indonesia YPTK Padang. The instrument for collecting research data is in the form of a questionnaire which is distributed to the leaders and officials of study programs, departments, faculties, and universities/colleges. The results of this study include: report on career counseling guidance policy at the host institution, obstacles faced by the organizer, service impact for graduates, and evaluation of career counseling guidance policy. Based on the analysis that has been done, the counseling guidance program is feasible to be applied by every university in order to create a successful alumni career in the future. Therefore, the leadership and all levels of higher education can work together to create a policy for career counseling guidance services at the university level.

Abstract

Natural Sciences (IPA) is a science that studies nature along with its contents. IPA becomes one of the compulsory subjects in elementary school. The aim of this study was to describe problems in IPA learning at the elementary school level in terms of child development. This type of research is qualified descriptive. Data collection is carried out by methods of observation in schools and analyzing the relationship of findings with literature studies based on expert theories and previous research. The results of information analysis and research findings are strengthened by providing recommendations for solutions in problem solving, namely the design of a relevant learning model to be applied in IPA learning in elementary school. The results of this study are expected to provide contributions and be used as a reference in the development and strengthening of the quality in IPA learning at elementary schools level. To develop a learning model which can improve the quality of IPA learning, instructional design teachers/designers can pay attention to the main problems found in this study.
