Abstract

Abstract

Anredera cordifolia (Ten.) Steenis that is known by the name of binahong leaves have medicinal properties traditionally as wound healing. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of leaf binahong extract ointment on graze and to know the effectiveness of the leaf binahong extract ointment as wound healing. This research used experimental research method. Simplicia powder of binahong leaf was extracted using a maceration method. The result of maceration extracted by using a rotary evaporator, the extract obtained are formulated into ointments. Binahong leaf extract ointment made within 5 concentrations that is a concentration of 20%, 25%, 30%, 35% and 40%. The subject of research in the form of a rabbits that amount 3 tails were divided into 7 treatment groups ie negative control (ointment base), positive control (Betadine ointment), ointments leaf extract binahong 20%, ointment leaf extract binahong 25%, ointment leaf extract binahong 30%, ointment binahong 35% leaf extract and leaf extract ointment binahong 40%. Rabbits are scarred on the back with a wound length of 2 cm. Ointment leaf extract with various concentrations carried out the effectiveness test against the healing of scratch on the back of a rabbit that has been injured. On testing ointment was done organoleptic test, homogeneity test and pH test. The data were processed statistically using ANOVA analysis with SPSS method. Results of the research and the results of statistical analysis that extract ointment. Binahong leaf had effectivity on a scratch wound. Binahong leaf extract ointment concentration of 20%, 25% and 30% have given the effect of wound healing, where as the concentration of 35% and 40% give a more effective healing effect. Effects similar to the positive control, namely ointment binahong leaf extract with a concentration of 35%, whereas the leaf extract ointment binahong 40% have the best effect.

Abstract

Red cabbage flower (Brassica oleracea L.) contains antioxidant compounds with strong activity potential. This research aims to make antioxidant gel preparations using HPMC as a base gel containing red cabbage flower extract with concentrations (% b/b) for F1, F2 and F3 are 5%, 7,5% and 10%, which are then evaluated and tested its antioxidant activities. Testing antioxidant activity is carried out by the determination method of IC50 using the reagent DPPH (Difenil-2-Pikrilhidrazil). From research acquired the value of IC50 for ethanol extract red cabbage flower and vitamin c as comparative compounds is 47,10 ppm and 6,30 ppm. Antioxidant activity of red cabbage flower ethanol extract in gel preparations in each formulation has a IC50 value of 80,15 ppm (F1), 59,71 ppm (F2), and 57,48 ppm (F3). Evaluation ofgel preparation includes homogenity, organoleptic, viscosity and pH. The physical properties test results of gel dosage showed that all the preparations of the homogeneous gel, have a pH between the 5,30-5,70 corresponding to the skin pH, with a viscosity value of 3000-3700 cps, and have a coverage of ≤ 7 cm. Based on the results of this study, it was concluded that red cabbage flower ethanol extract can be formulated in an antioxidant gel with the best concentration is 10%.

Abstract

Plant soursop (Annona muricata L.) is one of the Annonaceae familia. This plant has well-known in the society environment and it has been using as a traditional medicine. One of benefits of the soursop is can used as an algernative of cancer treatment. Until now not yet known scientifically whether soursop leaves have anticancer activity.This study aims to determine the potential toxicity of bioactive substances from the ethanol extract, of ethyl acetate and n-hexane of the soursop leaves as an anticancer agent by using Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BSLT) method. This experimental As many as 100 larvas were use as research objects which divided into 3 groups. Each group consist of 10 larvas and the group repetition were done by randomly, three times per group. The extract concentration used in medium is 500, 100, 10 and as a control 0 ppm. Data obtained from counting the number of dead larvas (letal concentration 50 ppm) after 24 hours treatment. Based on the data obtained from LC50 of extract ethanol, ethyl acetate and n-hexane soursop leaves then determined by using probit analysis. The water content which contained in simplicia (drifed leaves) is 6,49%. The probit analysis results show that the ethanol extract have LC50 values of 86,45 ppm, 92,81 ppm of ethyl acetate extract and n-hexane extracts 37601,05 ppm. The distribution of ethanol and ethyl acetate extracts of soursop leaves in the experiments shown any potential toxicity against Artemia salina Leach, while the n-hexane extract of soursop leaves show no any potential toxicity to against Artemia salina Leach larvas.

Abstract

Conyzoides ageratum L. known as babadotan leaves is herbal medicine which been used to threat a variety of diseases, including drugs open wounds. Previous research states that the ethyl acetate extract of babadotan leaves real healing effect (significant) on an open wound that is at a concentration of 40% and 80%. Based on that, do preliminary research aims to determine the effectiveness of the ointment preparations ethanolic extract of babadotan leaves (Ageratum conyzoides L.) against the open wound healing in rabbits. This type of research is a laboratory experiment. Simplicia babadotan leaf powder extracted using maceration methods. Babadotan leaf ethanolic extract ointment made within 5 concentration that is 30%, 35%, 40%, 45% and 50%. On testing ointment organoleptic test, homogeneity test, dispersive power test and pH test. Test the effectiveness of healing of open wounds using seven groups: negative control (without treatment), positive control (povidone iodine), ointments ethanol extract of babadotan leaves (SEDB) 30%, 35% SEDB, SEDB 40%, SEDB 45%, 50% SEDB against 3 white rabbits weighing 3-3.5 kg and a length of 1.5 cm open wound, was done and observed until 8 days. The data were processed statistically using One Way ANOVA (Analysis Of Variant). These results indicate that leaf ethanolic extract ointment babadotan 40%, 45% and 50% has a healing effect on open wounds in rabbits, the effect is almost similar to the positive control which leaves extract ointment babadotan with a concentration of 45%, while the ointment babadotan leaf extracts that provide the most excellent effect that an ointment at a concentration of 50%.

Abstract

Ethanol extract 70% of bintaro leaves could inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. Bintaro leaf extract (Cerbera odollam Gaertn) has chemical content of flavonoids, alkaloids and tannins. In this research was made preparation gel ethanol extract 70% from bintaro leaves (Cerbera odollam Gaertn.) and determine the formulation of gel preparation having good physical quality and have antibacterial effectivity. Physical quality tested such as homogeneity, organoleptic, viscosity, pH, spreadability, stability and antibacterial effectiveness test against Staphylococcus aureus bacteria using the disk diffusion method. The results showed that ethanol extract gel of 70% of bintaro leaves had good physical quality and best antibacterial effectiveness was found in Formulation III with 5% concentration. Based on one-way ANOVA analysis with Duncan assay, each formulation with different concentrations had a significant difference with α = 0.05.

Abstract

Diuretics is a substance that can stimulate of urine output. The content of flavonoid compunds contained in water extracts of avocado leaves have a diuretic activity. Testing is done withgiving a water extract of avocado leaves per oral to 30 male rats strain (Sparague-Dawley) with weight 200 grams were divided into 6 groups. Frequency of urination with water extract of avocado leaves 5 % , 10 % , 15 % and 20 % respectively which is 2 , 5 , 9 and 20 times with observation for 3 hours. Furosemide tablets urination frequency was 25 times over 3 hours. The result showed that the water extract of avocado leaves 20% have diuretic activity is equivalent to Furosemide tablets at a dose of 7.2 mg / 200 mg BB in male rats.

Abstract

Hypertension is widely known for its cardiovascular disease in which sufferers have blood pressure above normal blood pressure, precisely where systolic blood pressure ≥ 140 mmHg and diastolic pressure ≥ 90 mmHg measured in calm at two measurements. Compliance to medication of hypertension contributes greatly to the stability of the blood pressure. One of the efforts made to improve compliance with medication of hypertension with the chronic disease management program (Prolanis). This research aims to know the relationship of the level of compliance of taking the drug with blood pressure in patients of hypertension in chronic disease management group (Prolanis) Qita Clinic. This research use analytic research method to approach cross-sectional, in the study sample is determined by the method of purposive. This research instrument is the questionnaire MMAS-8 (Morisky Medication Adherence Scale-8) and 1 set of tools tensimeter. From the results of the research showed that respondents with high compliance as much as 14 respondents (46.7%), compliance are as many as 5 respondents (15.7%) and low compliance as much as 11 respondents (36.7%). Correlation of test results of these studies showed a relationship with medication compliance systolic blood pressure with a p value of 0.05 signifies < 0.038 and there is a connection with diastolic blood pressure with a p value of 0.05 signifies < 0.024.

Abstract

Prevalensi ISPA yang cukup tinggi di Indonesia mempengaruhi pola penggunaan obat, terutama antibiotik di fasilitas kesehatan. Sekitar 30-80% pasien diresepkan antibiotik dan penggunaannya tidak rasional, Laporan Tahunan Puskesmas Beji tahun 2018 menunjukkan ISPA merupakan penyakit yang paling banyak ditemukan, yaitu sekitar 30,97% kasus. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui evaluasi penggunaan antibiotik pada pasien ISPA di Puskesmas Beji dengan metode Anatomical Therapeutic Chemical (ATC)/Defined Daily Dose (DDD). Penelitian ini dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan desain studi potong lintang (cross sectional). Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan secara retrospektif dengan purposive sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan rumus slovin diambil dari populasi yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Rekam Medis pasien yang memenuhi kriteris inklusi dan eksklusi sebanyak 104 Rekam medis. Hasil analisis bedasarkan sosiodemografi pasien ISPA terbanyak berjenis kelamin perempuan dan kelompok usia remaja akhir 17-55 tahun. Diagnosa ISPA terbanyak Acute pharyngitis, unspecified. Antibiotik yang digunakan Amoxicillin 500 mg, Ciprofloxacin 500 mg, Cotrimoxsazole 480 mg, Cotrimoxsazole 960 mg, Erythromycin 500 mg, dan Thiamphenicol 500 mg. Penggunaan Obat dinyatakan nilai DDD/1000/pasien yaitu Amoxicillin 500 mg (16,2062); Ciprofloxacin 500 mg (1,1039); Cotrimoxsazole 480 mg (0.460); Cotrimoxsazole 960 mg (0.3683); Erythromycin 500 mg 0,2762); dan Thiamphenicol 500 mg (0,5524). Obat yang menyusun segmen DU90%, yaituAmoxicillin 500 mg (85.44%) dan Ciprofloxacin 500 mg (5.83%).
